"Larger Community, Less Personal Touch"
The administrative staff was great, like a five out of five. The day-to-day care staff were more like a three out of five because they didn't have a lot of experience. They did have activities for the residents. We didn't think about how our loved one used to be in a smaller place where the doors were always open and the aides would often stop by to say hello. This community was much bigger, like a hotel with narrow hallways and closed doors. No one really came by to see him and say hi like in the smaller community before.

"Similar to Northview with affordable, apartment-like setting; rated four stars."
"The facility is affordable for most residents and resembles an apartment building. It shares ownership with Northview."

"Negligence at Assisted Living Facility; Missing Belongings and Safety Issues"
My husband's mom stayed at the dementia ward of this facility. The day after she settled in, I came for a visit and was shocked to find her bed without sheets, blankets, or even a pillow. Moreover, her clothes were missing! When I brought it up, a worker said they had a bed bug issue and everything was shifted to another unit! Four days in, without any bedding on her mattress, she tumbled out of bed and had to be rushed to the hospital. The MD refused to let her return there, which was a blessing in disguise! Plus, she never got all her stuff back!

"Loved One Thriving with Supportive Staff and Enjoyable Food"
The staff here is really nice and they give us good information. My family member is doing well here. She did mention that she wishes there were more people she could talk to. The activities director suggested she join in some of the activities. The food is good and she likes it a lot.

"Poor Care and Untrained Staff in Assisted Living Facility"
When I first walked into this assisted living facility, it looked acceptable, but my judgment changed soon after. Every single time I visited my uncle there, it was clear that the staff lacked the necessary training for their roles. Furthermore, there was an ongoing issue of staff members frequently leaving and being replaced, which was worrisome. In terms of cleanliness, the place fell short, and there were hardly any activities organized for the residents to engage in. My uncle was residing in the Alzheimer's unit, which seemed to be overlooked when it came to arranging activities. It was concerning that we had to specifically request that our family members be included in any event or activity that was held. Concerning meals, the food was just passable on the few good days. In most instances, when we had inquiries, the staff's default response was "I don't know," which shows a lack of knowledge or caring. My overall impression was that the care provided was terribly poor. I truly believe my uncle would have been better off in a different facility and I know for a fact that alternative options should be considered.

"Headline"
This place was really nice, but I'm not a fan of New Castle's rough vibe.

"Rhodes Estates: Poor Care and Money-Hungry, Not Recommended"
My parents chose to live in Rhodes Estates, thinking they would get comfort and help. That was just a big mistake. I had to visit them daily to make sure they received any care because the staff didn't know what they were doing. The place only looked clean, but it wasn't actually. They only care about making money and don't give a darn about the residents. I wouldn't wish living in Rhodes Estates on my worst enemy. This place drained our money fast and gave nothing positive in return.
