"Questionable Pricing Mars Overall Positive Experience at Facility"

This place seems to calculate costs based on a person's income or social security income, and they don't stick to their original quote. Price matters a lot when you look at places like this, and their dishonesty in this realm concerns me. The place is neat and the people there are mostly friendly. The head nurse certainly knows her job well and I appreciate the effort put in to get my family member out of bed. The food and activities are all well and good, but their ways of billing are confusing and deceitful. Despite this, the caregiving staff handles it well and are typically pleasant. They seem to reel people in with an initial fee, but in our case, they suddenly raised the cost of care, which has caused us quite a bit of financial stress.

"Mixed Feelings About Rittenhouse Village Tour"

Our family visited Rittenhouse Village at Muhlenberg for an in-person tour. The experience was just okay, but unfortunately, it wasn't the right location for our loved one.

"Nice facility with friendly staff and clean rooms, good food"

This place is good, and my mom liked it here. Most of the staff were friendly and nice. They kept us updated about how she was doing. I’m not sure how often housekeeping cleaned, but mom’s room was always tidy. The whole place, including the hallways, was clean and smelled nice. The food was really good with lots of choices. They also offer transportation. I’d suggest this place to family and friends.

"Positive Experience During In-Person Tour"

Our family visited the assisted living facility for a tour, and it was a pleasant experience. The lady we talked to, [name removed], was really nice.

"Affordable, Pleasant Assisted Living Experience"

My loved one always has a pleasant experience at the assisted living facility. They ensure her medications are correct, provide three meals a day, and maintain a clean environment. The cost is comparable to other places I considered.

"Mixed Feelings about Memory Care Community"

This place is pretty nice. There are more people with memory problems here than in other places I've seen. They give each room a microwave and fridge for the folks living here to use.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Experience"

This place was okay when I signed up, but when my husband got here, his wheelchair didn't have footrests. Whenever they moved him, his feet dragged or someone had to lift them. His room wasn't ready and was dirty when he arrived. When he passed away, nobody showed sympathy, which was really upsetting. Plus, they made me pay extra while they sorted out his stuff.

"Lack of Sympathy"

The community lacked sympathy. No condolences when my loved one passed.

"Renovation Underway"

When we visited this place, they were doing big renovations. I didn't like how the rooms were set up. The hallways were too skinny, which would make it tough for my folks to get around.

"Great care, clean space, and tasty meals: perfect fit"

My mother-in-law is doing well and loves her comfy room. I appreciate the friendly and helpful staff. The community is clean, nice, and smells good. She enjoys the meals. We decided to move her in immediately after the tour because everything seemed great.

"Helpful staff, recommended facility for others."

The staff was really nice and helped us a lot. They answered all our questions and gave us a tour. I think other people would like this place too.

"Nice place, but aunt chose another community with friends"

Rittenhouse Village was really nice. I liked it a lot and think it's a great choice. My aunt chose not to move there because she has friends in another place we looked at.

"Residents Not Engaged in Activities"

I visited this place and it seemed pretty well-kept. I saw some activities happening, but the people living there weren't really joining in. I was looking for a lively place for my parents, and this didn't seem to fit.

"Great Care, Clean Space, Friendly People, Good Food – Excellent Choice!"

My mom's getting good care here. The place is super clean, and everyone's nice. Food's tasty too. This community beats the others I checked out.

"Friendly staff, great food, and engaging activities!"

The staff are friendly and helpful. The nurse administrator listens well. My mother-in-law enjoys the food. The community always looks nice and is getting better. My in-laws have joined some daily activities.

"Great place for my parents!"

The staff at Rittenhouse work together to take care of my parents. They have a daily schedule of activities. My parents like the food. I would recommend this clean community.

"Thrilled with Rittenhouse: A Top Choice for Mom’s Care"

While looking for a place for my mother, we had several options. From the beginning, we were drawn to Rittenhouse Village @ Muhlenberg. After visiting, we were sure this was the place for my mom. It feels like an upscale hotel. We love the large private rooms and baths. The dining room is elegant, the hallways are carpeted, and the community lounges are bright and welcoming. The administrators are helpful and caring, and the nurses and aides are friendly and accommodating. The home was always clean and tidy when we visited. I might sound like an ad, but we’ve seen other places, and Rittenhouse is everything the others should have been. You won’t be disappointed if you choose Rittenhouse @ Muhlenberg. We enjoy visiting my mom in her new home.

"Food Needs Improvement"

I think Rittenhouse Senior Living of Reading could make better food. That's the only thing I can say to improve.

"Weekend Activities Lack, Otherwise Pleasant Assisted Living with Friendly Staff"

This place is nice. The people who work here are really nice. The place looks clean. They do fun stuff during the week. The people who live here are nice and they do things. But on weekends, there's not much help or fun stuff. I think the food is good.

"Mixed Experience: Nice Facility, Disappointing Food"

Rittenhouse is a good place overall. It's clean and the workers are friendly. But it's pricey, though not more than other places for seniors. The main problem is the food. It's often too salty and hardly ever warm enough. Usually, you have to send it back to get reheated. There aren't many food options, and the desserts don't taste fresh. I'd say the food is poor to okay.

"Grateful for the Caring Staff"

The staff was super friendly and helpful to my mom before she passed away soon after arriving. They really know their stuff and are very caring.”

"Great place, but too far for us to choose."

We visited this place and thought it was great. The only reason we didn’t pick it was because it would be a long drive for us. I was really happy with the staff and the care they showed me.

"New Residents Need Transition Team"

They should have a team to help new residents adjust. The food is average. The elevator gets crowded, so you'll need patience. It's in a convenient location. The outdoor areas for residents could be improved.

"Great care and great prices highly recommended"

We’re really happy with the service here. The care they give is just what we wanted, and their prices are better than other places we checked out. It’s great care at a great price.

"Exceptionally Warm and Friendly Assisted Living with Great Amenities"

The staff was super nice and helpful. Lunch was yummy. Inside was even better with cool verandas, a library, and a bright dining room. We also liked the trips and when school kids and sorority members visited. Everyone there seemed happy. Rooms were bigger than other places. We also liked that they offer Respite, have reasonable prices, and are flexible. It's close to Reading Hospital, but it's farther than where Mom is now.

"Impressed with Friendly Staff and Clean Facility"

I really liked this place. The staff was super nice and helpful. The building was clean, nicely decorated, and easy for the residents to get around. But even though the cost was reasonable, I don't think my brother can afford to stay here with his fixed income. I wish he could, though—I think he'd do great!
