"Expensive fees for basic needs overshadow friendly staff in facility."
The staff is really nice. Unfortunately, they charge you for everything! Three meals were supposed to be included in your rent, but if you're sick and can't go down to eat, they'll bring it to you for $12 extra per meal. That really adds up! They also charge a lot for medications. You can't even take an aspirin or a vitamin on your own; they have to bring it to you and charge you for each one. It all adds up to way more than what you're paying for your rent. That's a big problem for me. If I knew about all these extra charges beforehand, I wouldn't have chosen this place.

"Mixed Staff Quality but Great Food and Cleanliness at Rose Tree Place"
The best thing about Rose Tree Place was the food. Some staff were really good, but others struggled with handling different situations. Some staff could improve on being adaptable. The place was always very clean, and that part of the community was perfect.

"Highly recommend this caring facility for assisted living!"
I love this facility, and [Name] is truly dedicated to this work. Our family's search was paused, and during that time, [Name] reached out with real concern and never pressured us to decide. In the end, my dad needed more care, so he didn’t move to Rose Tree. I recommend this place completely to anyone looking for care.

"Caring staff and clean, welcoming environment"
Our mom moved to Rose Tree Place from another senior living community, and we couldn’t be happier. Everyone, from the admins to the aides, nurses, housekeeping, and dining room staff, was great to work with. Mom’s room and the building were always kept clean, the entertainment was fun, and the food was really good. Most of all, the people there truly care and show compassion and kindness. I highly recommend this place.

"Rose Tree Place: Ensuring Comfort and Engagement for Residents"
Rose Tree Place has been a great choice for my father. They make sure to check on him every two hours, especially at night, and even remind him to eat dinner if he forgets. When I join him for meals, they conveniently bill the fee to his room. Plus, they offer a private dining room for family gatherings. There's always something to do at Rose Tree Place. Although my father prefers to stay in his room, they encourage him to participate in various activities like speakers talking about birds or sports. The men especially love the baseball lectures. They have games, a Wii, cocktail hours, exercise classes, and live music. When we were looking for a place, they were very accommodating. Even though they didn't have the exact one-bedroom unit my father wanted during our tour, they called us later to show us a unique one that had just become available. It was nicer than any apartment I've seen, with amenities like a walk-in closet and pantry, washer and dryer hookups, and spacious living areas. Another reason we chose Rose Tree Place is their beautiful memory care section. It's secure, with a closed courtyard perfect for residents who tend to wander. Overall, Rose Tree Place isn't perfect, but they're doing a great job, and that's all I want for my father.

We had a look around this community and thought the rooms were really nice. The employees there are caring and willing to help. There are plenty of fun activities available. The rooms are spacious with very nice, bright lights. My mom thought it felt like a fancy hotel. We thought the different meal options looked pretty good. They have activities for folks to do. We suggest that other families should check out this community for taking care of their loved ones. It's worth it.

"Rose Tree Place: The Perfect Home for Your Loved Ones"
If you’re looking for the right place for your Mom or Dad, Rose Tree Place is where you want them to be! It’s tough when families have to decide that their parents can’t live alone anymore and need some help. It’s hard to move them from their home, their things, and their independence. This was the case with my Dad. He has Parkinson’s and falls a lot. After two years, many ER visits, and advice from his doctors, we had to make the decision. My husband and I started by researching and visiting several places in the Media/Rose Tree area. When we arrived at Rose Tree Place, we were greeted by the Director. He was professional, pleasant, and very helpful. He explained everything about the facility and how things work. He greeted every resident by name. When we found Rose Tree Place, we knew it was the one! To be fair, we took my Dad to a few places we had selected and asked him to choose his new home. He picked Rose Tree Place! Rose Tree Place is a beautiful community in Media with lovely grounds and walking trails. Inside, there’s a marble lobby with a grand piano overlooking an outdoor patio courtyard. The library is stocked with books where residents can relax. The dining room looks like a restaurant and overlooks the courtyard. Residents order from a menu that changes daily, and their food is delivered to their table. After eating, they can walk around, join activities, or go back to their apartment. The residents’ apartments are amazing. Most have one bedroom with high ceilings, windows, a full kitchen, and lots of closet space. Residents can bring their stuff from home, so it feels a bit like home. The air is clean and fresh, and the place is spotless! Rose Tree feels more like a quaint Bed & Breakfast than an assisted living facility. Most importantly, the residents are treated with respect and care. Everyone knows each other’s name. If you’re looking for an Assisted Living Facility in the Delaware County area, Rose Tree Place is a must-see and the place you’ll want your parents to be.

"Not Happy: Vacancy in Experience, Compassion at Facility"
The place is clean and well-kept. The main issue here seems to be, they just don't know how to deal with folks who have dementia but aren't quite ready for memory care. We did put my mom on a waiting list for that though. Everyone on staff, from the helpers to the head honcho, seems to freak out at my mom's behavior, a normal part of her dementia. They didn't try to calm things down but instead just made them worse. We had to sign a bunch of forms, deal with problem after problem, and once they even asked us to take her home. They also goofed up her medicine dose a lot. Some meds she was given didn't match their records, and others noted during her hospital discharge had vanished from their logs and weren't given to her. What bummed us out the most was when my dad had to have an operation, we got a home health aide for 12 hours daily, in addition to paying the pricey rent. We only did it to give my mom some more support. The Rose Tree Place staff understood that my mom was in a bad spot then, but they never asked how to help or put their heads together with us to brainstorm how to ease things for her during that period. We found it unprofessional and profoundly sad that they didn't show compassion when it mattered the most.

"Positive Experience, Wonderful Staff"
Our family member was in the memory care unit of Rose Tree Place for 16 months. The staff are very kind and always tried to find activities he enjoyed. They spoke to him in a cheerful, calm manner, almost always making him smile. Even staff not directly involved in his care made an effort to learn about his life before he got sick, to engage him in conversation. They were excellent in keeping him safe. The unit is clean, his room was neat and tidy, and his clothing was clean. The nursing staff were attentive and responsive to medication changes to keep him healthy and happy. They kept communication open and were very caring when he passed.

My mother has been living at Rose Tree Place in the Pathways Memory Care area for two years, and I'm happy with the service. The entire staff, from receptionists to resident care associates, medical technicians, sales staff, and activity coordinators, is friendly, caring, and pays attention to her needs. "Best Place for Mom!"
My mother moved to Rose Tree Place when she decided she needed more help. She actually knew about the place because she had played music there with her band. Even though she was independent, the aides helped her when needed. The level of care affected the cost, but we expected that as her needs increased. She didn’t like using a walker, so the staff would walk her to the dining room when she asked. The med techs brought her meds on time, so she didn’t have to worry about it. Her apartment was beautiful, and the whole facility felt like a fancy hotel. The staff was patient, kind, and respectful. My mom always said how nice they were. I stayed with her the first week and saw how well they treated her from the lobby to the dining room to her own room. You can visit your loved ones anytime. They took her to Mass on Sundays and on fun trips. The activities director was amazing, always planning great things for the residents. We all slept better knowing Mom was in good hands. Mom even told me, This is the best place I could be!

"Negative Review: Facility Didn't Accommodate Short-Term Assisted Living Needs"
I had to give a poor rating because they couldn't fulfill certain needs. They couldn't accommodate my mom's need for a brief stay of only a week. This facility insists on stays of three weeks or longer, even for respite care. It doesn't make sense, who decides that caregivers need a break of three or more weeks? That's a serious misstep on their part. To his credit, Mr. Rasmussen was open about this policy from the start, so at least he didn’t waste my time or his with false promises.

"Rose Tree Place: Excellent Care and Comfort for Dad's Needs"
My Dad was living alone in an independent community, but his dementia was getting worse. My sister and I realized he needed the extra help of assisted living. I started looking for places with memory care units close to my home. "A Place for Mom" helped me find some options, including Rose Tree Place. After visiting several places, I chose Rose Tree as my top pick. My Dad has been at Rose Tree Place for almost seven months now, and he seems happy there. I liked Rose Tree because the staff is very friendly, the apartments are spacious and bright, the hallways are wide and well-lit, the dining room looks nice, and the whole place is clean. The food looked good when I saw people eating lunch. It was reassuring to know that there is always a nurse available around the clock. I was also impressed with Pathways, the memory care unit. It’s a big, bright area with large, sunny bedrooms, its own courtyard, and the residents seemed happy. I talked with the Pathways director, and she was very caring and friendly. As it turned out, my Dad’s dementia was more advanced than I thought, so he moved into Pathways shortly after arriving at Rose Tree. He now has a nice room with a double window overlooking the courtyard. In Pathways, he has as much independence as possible, with help available whenever he needs it. "Poor Communication and Unprofessional Care Staff"
My mom was staying there and they had night-time nurses. However, mom got injured one evening and they weren't even aware of it. Nobody reported the incident. She had to call me herself. It seems like they're always switching up their staff members because people come and go all the time. Also, whenever mom needed assistance to get up, they would bring too many helpers. "Hidden Costs Overshadow Good Services At Assisted Living Facility"
The staff here is really cool and know what they're doing, but the cost is just too much. They amped up the rent and care-level costs a lot. They reduced it for a couple days after I talked about it, but then it went right back up. The total is now $2000 more than they said it would be. If I'd known that would happen, I wouldn't have moved them here. If I weren't so tight on money, it'd be a great place. The activities they have are great and I like the quality of care, but there's a ton of stuff I have to do myself because it's so expensive. I have to take them to all their doctor's appointments because if I don't, it's nearly $100 a pop since a caregiver would need to go along. They have a one-bedroom apartment in the facility, which is perfect because my mom has dementia, but my dad is okay. The food is really good and my dad loves everything about this place.

"Rose Tree Place"
My mom has been at the facility for just two weeks, and she's adjusting to the routine. There are activities she enjoys, and the friendly activities coordinator makes her feel included. We initially toured the place with Michael Rasmussan, who went above and beyond to help us transition smoothly. The facility is clean, and the nurses and aides are kind and helpful. The only issue I noticed was with the food service and selection. While the eating area is nice, some residents had to wait longer than they wanted for their meals due to the two seating times—about 30 minutes or so. Overall, it's the best facility I've seen out of the five I visited.

"Exceptional Service from Michael Bruno Made All the Difference"
My mother and I were really impressed with Michael Bruno when we first visited Rose Tree Place. When he met us, he noticed my mother’s freshly done hair and complimented it, which showed me he pays attention to details (we had just come from the salon!). He made both of us, especially my mother, feel very welcome. During the tour, he knew everyone's names, both the residents and staff, which showed he truly cares about each person. We looked at four other places, but after each tour, my mom kept saying, "I like Rose Tree." It was actually recommended to us by A Place For Mom, and if it hadn’t been for that suggestion, we might have chosen a different place. Throughout our decision-making, Michael would call to check if we had any questions. Other places seemed more focused on making a sale than finding the right fit for my mom, but Michael was genuinely concerned about her well-being. Even after leaving Rose Tree Place to work at A Place For Mom, Michael still reached out to see how the move went. His support and care for the elderly are truly outstanding. Thanks a lot, Michael! P.S. My mom has only been at Rose Tree for less than a week. I’ll write another review later to give a full update on the care and activities.

"Feels like a Cruise Ship, but Some Food Could Improve"
We picked Rose Tree Place because it looked amazing inside, like a cruise ship! My mom used to go on cruises a lot, so it made her feel at home. We think it's a good deal, but we're not exactly sure what all $5,000 covers. We'll ask more questions to understand better. They have tons of activities, and my mom goes to every one of them. During a few visits, we saw shows—a pianist and even a belly dancer. Mom didn't want to leave during the belly dancer's performance, even though it was my daughter's recital! The food is okay, but a bit bland for my taste. It's probably better suited for someone like my mom, who prefers softer textures. We feel like mom is really safe and secure here. The staff is mostly friendly, with just one or two exceptions. Overall, we're really happy with Rose Tree Place and would recommend it to anyone.

"The director made me feel comfortable and confident"
The director made me feel like I was leaving my mom in a safe place. I also really enjoyed hearing her talk. She seems to truly love what she does and the reasons behind it.

"Hotel-Like Assisted Living, High Fee, Alert Residents"
This place feels like a hotel... But the community fee is really high! The residents seem healthy and alert though.
