"Mom’s Content at Friendly Simpson House"

We picked Simpson House because my mom really liked it. It’s super close to her old place, and she wanted to stay near the area she knows. She’s got a decent-sized apartment with her own bedroom, which is pretty cool to her. The people working here are super nice, but sometimes they don’t get back to us quick. We couldn’t be there to help her move in, and it was a whole 8 months before they fixed her internet, even though we kept calling. Also, when she moved in, she had to stay alone for 2 weeks, and a few times, they forgot to give her meals. But all in all, I’d tell other people to think about it because my mom’s happy living here.

"Safe, Caring Assisted Living at Simpson House"

We moved from Center City Philadelphia three years ago, and we’re glad we did. Our spacious two-bedroom, two-bath apartment has a large living room and a balcony overlooking Fairmont Park. What’s really important to us is the easy access to Center City via public transportation or the company van. Our neighbors have had similar experiences—selling homes, moving, adjusting to communal living and dining. The March lockdown due to Covid-19 brought us all closer together. The staff and management take excellent care of us, especially during the pandemic, they sanitize the facilities often, cancel group activities and visitors, and provide vaccinations. With available onsite health care, our move to Simpson House (Cornerstone building) feels absolutely right for us.

"Safe and Caring Assisted Living with Activities for Memory Care"

I needed a safe place for my loved one. The staff are very caring and aware of the residents on the memory care floor. There are lots of things to do. The place has a gym, dining room, and it's close to a park. They offer great activities for memory care residents.

"Disappointing Experience at Simpson House Assisted Living Facility"

We signed up for an apartment at Simpson House. They promised to refund our deposit and improvement costs if we canceled. We trusted them even though we planned to sell our home first. When COVID-19 hit, they postponed our move-in date by 90 days. But when we canceled they refused to refund our $5152.60 improvement investment. While we were under contract, the sales staff and Director were nice and helpful. But after we canceled, they ignored our calls and texts about the refund. Now, we have to go to court to get what's rightfully ours. It's sad. We were excited about living at Simpson House, but now we see how poorly they treat seniors. Beware of the sales staff's promises; make sure everything is in writing.

"Historic Charm in a Park Setting with Safety Improvements Needed"

Simpson House is a really old and pretty place. It's in a park which is nice. They need to make it safer and more private though. It's clean and not noisy. There are lots of nice people who live and work there.

"Beautiful Setting, Safety Concerns, Room for Improvement"

This place looks really nice with its pretty gardens and fancy buildings. When you first see it, it's really impressive. But, there are some big problems with how safe it is, both inside and outside. Having better lights, cameras, and modern safety stuff would be a big help. They're really focused on building a new place, which they talk about a lot. There are lots of friendly people living here, which is good. But there are things they could do better too.

"Great Experience, Not Ideal for Dad's Care"

We had a wonderful experience here. The place is really nice and clean. Most residents are in their late 80s to 90s. While it's great overall, it's not the right fit for my dad's needs.

"Assisted Living Falls Short for Dementia Care; Activities Shine"

This place wasn't ready for my mom's Alzheimer's challenges. They moved her to skilled care too fast. Activities were nice, staff friendly, but not prepared for dementia behaviors.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"

I've been here before and I think they do a really good job overall. The place looks nice and is well taken care of. They did a great job looking after my family member. It's definitely a place I would recommend for families looking for care in the area.

"Mixed Feelings about Assisted Living Facility"

The building outside looks cool, but it's still being worked on. The people who work here are nice, but it smells like a hospital, which isn't great. We can't afford to get in, and the monthly fees are too much for us. Plus, it's too far from where we live.

"Castle-like exterior, modern kitchens, great care, beautiful library."

I loved the old stone exterior—it looks like a castle! The living apartments have new kitchens, which is great. They offer the kind of progressive care I'll need in the future. The library is beautiful!

"Mediocre Facility with Friendly Staff and Basic Amenities"

If I had to rate it, I’d give it a 5 out of 10. The place has really long corridors that feel kind of gloomy. It’s an older building, and the rooms are pretty tiny, including the showers. The folks there seem friendly though, and I think they probably take good care of people.
