"Kind and Patient Staff Make a Difference"
I like the staff who take care. This includes the nurses, aides, the person who cleans her room, and those who help her in the dining room. They are all kind and patient with her.”

"Unsatisfied Visit to St. Mary Villa, Continuing Our Search"
We visited St. Mary Villa while hunting for a nice Independent Living place for our family member. We weren't impressed with this place. It wasn't clean, the people weren't friendly, and the overall vibe wasn't good. It wasn't the kind of place we'd want for our beloved. So, we decided to keep looking.

"Caring Staff and Welcoming Environment at St. Mary Villa"
My family member lives at St. Mary Villa, and our time here has been really good. The people who work here are very nice and friendly, and they do everything they can to help new residents feel comfortable and at home! I think this place would be a good choice for other families and friends.

"Friendly staff and good care despite being short-staffed"
The staff at this place are really friendly and polite. They work hard even though they are short on staff. They try their best to meet everyone's needs. If you bring up a concern, it usually gets handled.

"Intercom Issues and Bad Food, But Fixes Promised"
I talked to the director about the intercom system for patients to talk to the office. It’s not working all the time, but they said they’re fixing it. Another issue is that the front door to my person’s room is really far, so he has trouble bringing groceries to his room. He also says the food is terrible.

"Unit Needs Improvements"
They don't keep the place very clean, and the care isn't great. The staff doesn't pay enough attention to the residents. I only know about the memory care unit, so I can't say for the rest of the facility. But that unit definitely needs improvements.

"Assisted Living Community Needs Improvement"
This place is okay, but they're short on staff. My family member didn't get the care they needed because of it. The workers didn't seem too interested and were from temporary agencies. I wouldn't suggest it if you're not going to visit every day. You shouldn't have to check in so often when they're supposed to be taking care of your loved one.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short in Care and Food Choices"
I wouldn't suggest this place for others' loved ones. The staff didn't give my friend the care they needed. They don't have a menu to choose from; you get what's there. Our experience was that they couldn't meet our friend's special diet needs.

"Good value, attentive staff, satisfactory food."
For the cost, they're surpassing our expectations and providing good value. It works well for us. The staff ensures my loved one is dressed and ready when I visit, and the food is satisfactory.

"Seeking a Homey Environment for Loved Ones!"
The place was alright. But it just didn't feel like home—something was off. It felt and even smelled like a nursing home, not at all where I want to put someone I care about. I looked around; the rooms had only beds and bathrooms. That's not what I want for someone I love.

"Mixed Experiences at St. Mary Assisted Living Facility"
I had both my mom and dad at St. Marys at the same time. They both needed some short term physical and occupational therapy. The therapy team did a really good job. If I were only rating them, I'd give St. Marys five stars. But I have to consider the other services they offer. My problems with St. Marys are about how clean the place is and the care from the nurses. The living parts of the place need a lot of improvement. The furniture is old and not in good shape. The pictures on their website don't show how it really is. My biggest worry is how some of the nursing staff treat people. Not all, but most don't act nice when you ask them for information or help. They also don't answer quickly when you press the call button for a nurse. People wait too long for help after pressing the button. The issues with the nurses might be because they don't have enough staff. It seems they are short staffed, putting more pressure on the ones who are there. This was my first experience with a place like this. Now I know what to look out for and St. Marys would need to make some changes before I'd go back.
