"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My family member lives in the independent living section, so I can only speak about that. At first, things were okay, but then the food changed, and addressing issues became difficult. Patience is essential for maintenance requests since they are understaffed. New residents should ensure their apartment is fully prepared before moving in. Orientation for both families and residents is crucial. Also, check out available activities to find something your family member enjoys.

"Sunrise of Abington: Nice, but More Expensive; Dad Prefers Veteran-Oriented Place"
The Sunrise of Abington seemed nice to me. It was a bit pricey, though. My dad liked another place better because it focused more on veterans.

"Assisted Living Price Hike and Mice Issue Disappoint"
I'm really mad because they raised the price without warning when I moved in, and apparently, they do this every year. Also, there's a problem with mice. Overall, it's just okay. I wish we had checked out more places and asked more questions about how much it costs.

"Well-Maintained Assisted Living with Caring Staff"
This community is good with activities. We chose it because it's cleaner and better maintained than other places. The staff here is more organized. Overall, it's pretty good and better than other facilities nearby. The staff are very attentive. They also have religious services that really helped my loved one, which was important.

"Unfair Treatment and Financial Issues at Living Facility"
The living place was not stable with money and wasn’t fair to people leaving. My loved one enjoyed staying there, but after needing the hospital three times, we had to quickly move them to a different home. We told the facility almost 30 days before the second problem happened, but they kept taking money from our account even after a month, and they won’t give it back. This was even though we had to move quickly for an emergency and we let them know in time. We also paid a big amount in advance to lock in the monthly cost. The agreement said they could give it back if they wanted to, but after my loved one stayed there for nine months without any price changes, they still wouldn’t return any of our money. Plus, they’re still charging us for extra stuff even after he moved out. We’re really confused about these extra charges. We’re very upset with the way they handled everything.

The Sunrise of Abington community felt warm and welcoming right from the start. There weren't any bad smells, and the place was bright and cheerful. The staff really cares about the residents, and based on our experience, we would recommend this community to other families.

"Nice place, but not right for my mom"
Sunrise Senior Living of Abington was really beautiful. The staff gave us a great tour of the community. They were super friendly and knew a lot. But the rooms were very small and didn’t feel cozy enough for my mom. Also, when you left the grounds, it was so busy and crowded that it felt too commercial.

"Great Tour, Clean Place, Friendly Staff, But Far Location"
We had a great tour at Sunrise Senior Living of Abington. My mom really liked it. The place was super clean and neat, and all the people we met were really nice. It was mom's favorite place at first. But we decided on another place because it was too far from our family and friends.

"Attentive Staff and Friendly Environment with Room for Improvement"
At first, everything was okay, but there was a problem with the dining room ceiling that affected the call button, making her wait longer. Even after it got fixed, sometimes the wait was almost an hour. The staff is always nice, but I wish there were more activities. Sometimes it feels like nothing's happening. When they do have activities, they're great, but it's not consistent. Also, it's hard to find out what's going on. We asked about getting to another building once, and they didn't know. The staff could communicate better. The food is always good, and the servers are nice. But there was an issue with laundry where her bag didn't come back, and some clothes went missing. Despite that, it's really clean, and the people are friendly and helpful.

""Staff's Lack of Warmth Ruins Facility's Appeal""
This place looked good, was tidy, and had the same nice features as the other Sunrise places I visited. But the workers here didn't impress me. It felt cold and impersonal, lacking in kindness and caring, which really made me dislike it."

"A Variety of Offerings"
The place looked nice, and everyone was friendly during my tour. They had many activities and services, but I felt it might be more than Dad needed. He wouldn’t have used most of the extras they offered, and the higher price wouldn’t have been worth it.

"Room size okay, liked windows, but not as good now."
Their largest room wasn't spacious, but I still enjoyed it. Lots of windows, which was nice. The building seemed pretty new, and I liked the circular rooms. However, after chatting with others, I've heard that Sunrise doesn't match up to where I am now.

"Sunrise: A Lifeline for Elderly Loved Ones"
My elderly friend was feeling really down and not taking care of herself after her husband passed away. I tried everything I could think of to help her, but nothing seemed to work. Then, I suggested she check out Sunrise, and she decided to move in all on her own. Now, she's got a whole new lease on life! She doesn't have to worry about being lonely or hungry anymore. She's always out and about, enjoying activities and good food. She's so busy these days that it's hard to even reach her on the phone! It's a big change from before, when she felt so isolated. Now, everyone who knows her can see how much better she's doing since she moved to Sunrise.
