"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
Open visiting hours are great. My mom feels well cared for. The facility looks old. They charge for every little thing daily, which I dislike. Rates are going up in 2024, which I'm not happy about. Residents should get more than one shower a week.

"Convenient Home-Like Facility with Flexible Terms"
I chose this place because you recommended it. It’s near my house. The visit made it look like a smart pick. They don’t make you stay for a long time.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Chaos, Lack of Care, Concerns Arise"
Moved my mom in recently. Chaos. No help, health department busy. Mom not showered in 2 weeks. Had to do it myself. They ignored her dietary needs. Mom fell searching for walker. Commode moved without consent. Considering other places.

"Short-Staffed Assisted Living with Friendly Staff"
The place is nice, but they couldn't give my mom the care she needed. The staff was friendly, though they were short-staffed, which is common nowadays. Overall, it's a nice place.

"Positive experience at Sunrise of Blue Bell, featuring convenient facility layout."
I liked Sunrise of Blue Bell. They have assisted living and memory care. The memory care unit was upstairs, which meant using an elevator. At the time, my mom wasn't quite ready for memory care, so she might have tried going downstairs to the assisted living side.

If you can't care for them at home, this is a good option. Helpful assistance with calls, though intermittent at times.

"Great Value and Improving Activities"
Our loved one is a very picky eater, so they don't really like the food. But we've had a few meals there and think the food is just fine. The activities are getting better and better, and our loved one is really starting to join in, which is great. We also think the cost is worth it.

"Limited Food Choices, No Visit Due to Quarantine"
We picked Sunrise of Blue Bell for short-term care while our caregiver was away. The main problem we faced was the lack of food options. They didn't offer much variety on the menu. It was tough since we couldn't visit the facility because of quarantine.

"Nice Place but Sometimes Smells"
This place was usually clean, but sometimes it had a bad smell. Most of the staff were great, but some were just okay. Our loved one only needed a few of the care services. They had fun activities like sing-a-longs, a piano player, and arts and crafts. There was something to do every day. From what we heard, the food was okay, but it depended on who you asked.

Sunrise Senior Living of Blue Bell was a nice place we visited. It felt warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and explained everything well. The people living there seemed happy and taken care of. We picked a closer community so I could visit mom more often.

"Pleasant Tour at Nice Community, Location Not Ideal"
I had a nice tour of this place. Everyone was really kind. The community looked nice, everything was neat and tidy. The staff I met was helpful and kind. They answered my questions, and my tour guide was great. I didn't have any issues with this community, but the location wasn't right for me.

"Assisted living facility needs brighter atmosphere, staff is friendly."
The assisted living facility is in a nice old building. It seemed a bit dark inside. I think they should find a way to make it brighter. The staff I met were really nice. They allow pets and have a courtyard that's enclosed.

"Hit-or-Miss Maintenance at Sunrise Assisted Living"
At Sunrise, the folks and service are great. The place feels welcoming, and the staff is super nice! Food's good too. But, when my loved one moved in, the apartment had lots of maintenance problems. We fixed some, still working on others. They're trying to help, but it's slow.

"Experiencing Less Than Great Service at Assisted Living Facility"
We tried out this care facility for a short-term stay around a year ago. The meals were good, but the service could have been better. They misplaced my loved one's dental appliance and it left me disappointed. We encountered some logistical issues, including billing hiccups that required almost a year to straighten out. It was a struggle to get in touch with anyone. They've changed the management team since then, so hopefully, they've addressed these issues. But, my experience wasn't terrific.

"Husband Thrives at Sunrise with Great Care and Support"
My husband has settled in really well at Sunrise. The staff has been amazing in helping him move from living at home with me to living there. I visit him often, but he seems so happy that I don’t need to come as much. His questions are always answered, his needs are met, and if he gets restless, he’s guided to other activities. The care workers are kind, thoughtful, and respectful. Leaving him in someone else’s care was really hard, and I was worried he wouldn’t adjust, but I’m so glad to see I was wrong.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
This place cost a lot, and they had confusing extra features. The worst part was walking through the smoky entrance. But they do have a dog and cat for residents.

"Sunrise in Blue Bell is a great place for seniors"
Sunrise in Blue Bell is a really good place for older folks. The person who helps with admissions and sales was super helpful. The staff are all nice and willing to help out. The place is kept clean and looks nice. The care plan was good, and they didn't try to upsell us on more care and services that would have cost more money. There are plenty of things to do for the residents and their families, which is nice.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
This place doesn't always have a schedule of activities that we consistently receive. They do post activities around the community. I think the nursing department should improve the communication between me and the doctor. Sometimes hearing aids go missing but reappear later. It feels very home-like, and the residents receive good care, which makes for a nice social atmosphere. The environment is pleasant and cozy. When your loved one moves in, be clear about their specific care needs. The food is decent. Sunrise doesn't accept Medicaid, so if we run out of money, we're out.

"Friendly and Helpful Staff!"
All the staff here are super friendly and helpful. They always keep me updated about my loved one’s condition, which is great since I live out of state. I really appreciate that they did a detailed assessment of my mom and worked with her to keep her in assisted living instead of memory care. I think she gets more social interaction this way.

"Assisted Living Review: Clean and Pleasant, with Room for Improvement"
This place seems good. I'm happy. It's mostly clean, but the apartments could be tidier. My relative doesn't need much help, just her meds. They've been on time with those. She often says the food isn't hot enough. But it smells fresh, they keep it nice with fresheners, and it's a nice place overall. That's why we picked it.

"Poorly Paid Heroes Shine"
Those hardworking folks, we know they don’t earn much. Despite that, they do a great job. By the end of the day, they’re tired and have their own worries. Maybe they deserve better pay. Downstairs, they offer activities, but it seems like mostly TV time. I’d love to play some music for them. They also have a piano player, which is nice. Folding clothes isn’t my idea of fun after a lifetime of being a mom. The place doesn’t smell, and the outdoor area is good, but they lock the door too often. They should take residents out more. Sitting in front of the TV bugs me; they could do more. The janitor, though, is amazing. He knows everyone’s name and brightens their day. He’s worth a million bucks, even if he’s not paid that much.

"Comfortable and Homey Assisted Living: A Great Place for Mom"
My mom and I both liked Sunrise of Blue Bell right away when we first visited. It's big enough for residents to move around and do different things, but it's not so big that it doesn't feel cozy. One night, I had dinner there and I was really impressed because the staff knew every resident's name and treated them nicely when they served dinner. My mom made friends almost right away and she stays busy by joining in the activities they plan. She can choose to do a lot or just a little, so she keeps her independence. I'm really happy we found this nice community.

"Potential Choice for Mom: Close, Pet-Friendly Assisted Living"
This might be an option soon. For my mom, being close to home was important. Blue Bell is where she lives, and this place isn't too far from there. Being nearby is good. The facility looks nice and is well-maintained. The director there was very helpful, and I've been talking to Amanda, who has also been very helpful and keeps in touch well. We managed to get my mom on a tour at short notice. I think it's fairly new, and one of the big things for us was that they allow pets.

"Communication Issues Plague Assisted Living Experience"
My mom was supposed to have a cheaper double room, but they didn't have it when we arrived, so she ended up in a pricier single room. The person in charge of marketing was super friendly, and everyone else seemed nice too. There was a little mix-up with her medication though. I was away for 5 weeks and left them with a 2-month supply, but after 3 weeks, they said they were out. Turned out they had it, but then I got a bill from Omnicare for prescriptions. I tried to reach the head nurse about it, but got no response after leaving 8 messages. Finally talked to the director recently, but still waiting for a follow-up.

"Quick Help, But May Not Be Dad’s Forever Home"
We had to pick a home fast, and Sunrise stepped up to speed through the paperwork. The bummer is there’s not enough safe space for folks with memory issues to stroll, so it might not be a long-term spot. My dad’s really into his walks.
