"Decline in quality and age diversity, hardworking staff."

It was better before. Recommended by A Place Called Mom. Want more assistance, younger residents. Management declined. Staff works hard.

"Exceptional Rehab Services at This Assisted Living Community!"

In the dining area, I’m happy to see my favorite staff member who treats me kindly and respectfully. The care services are generally good. And the rehab services provided by Fox in this community have been outstanding.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

The Care Manager service is pretty good, although some staff have problems with certain residents. The food service is also good, except for one incident I saw that was handled by someone else.

"Needs More Activities and Better Food Quality"

Overall, this place is nice because I can’t live alone. Even though I’m pretty independent, I can’t manage my own medicine. It would be better if there were more things to do and the food quality improved.

"Sunrise Assisted Living: Nice Tour, Wealthy Community, Available Staff"

The visit to Sunrise was good, people were nice, and the community was pleasant. However, it felt too rich for my loved one, and the experience wasn't quite what they were looking for. The Kitchen Manager was there to show us around.

"Sunrise of Haverford: Mixed Experience for Mom"

My mom lived at Sunrise of Haverford for four years. At first, things were good. The people who worked there were nice, the food was tasty and healthy, and there were fun things to do. They even let her keep her little dogs with her. But as time went on, things got worse. Lots of people quit their jobs there, from the boss to the regular workers, and sometimes there weren't enough people to do all the work. Some of the workers were great, but others didn't pay attention to the residents because they were too busy on their phones or they were rude to them. The food wasn't very good anymore, and neither was the cleaning. Also, unlike some other places, Sunrise Haverford isn't licensed to provide as much help, like bedrails. Be careful if you're thinking about sending someone there, and maybe look at other places instead. There are better ones out there.

"Great staff, but food options need improvement."

The staff here really make it special. It’s a small community, so the staff know everyone. We love it here. However, my loved one doesn’t like the food. It often comes cold because of the pandemic, and there haven’t been many choices for residents.

"Friendly staff and caring community with good food but expensive"

The staff and people were friendly and caring, and the food was pretty good too. There was one thing we were misled on when my mother moved in, and it turned out to be a big enough problem that we had to move her out. I never noticed any cleanliness issues. The care here was very good. While Sunrise Of Haverford is expensive, we think it was worth the money. The community itself is quite beautiful and feels like home, more than most other places around.

"So happy here!"

My sister loves living at Sunrise Senior Living of Haverford. She’s thriving there. The staff is very caring, friendly, and attentive to her needs. They’re also very welcoming to our family. We love seeing her name on the daily activities sign-up sheet. I’ve eaten there with her, and the food is great. The place is so homey and inviting, perfect for seniors looking for a place to call home. We’d definitely recommend this community to friends and family.

"Safe and Friendly Community"

My mother-in-law is doing much better since she moved here compared to her last place. We are happy with her move to this facility. She is safe and well taken care of. Most of the time, they keep the place clean. The staff is kind and friendly when I visit. Everything is going pretty well for her here. I would recommend it to my friends.

"Our Loved One is Happy and Safe Here"

My mother-in-law is doing well since moving here. I wish she would socialize more, but overall, everything has worked out great for us. We know she is safe and in good hands. They take good care of her and her needs. The community and her room are always clean when we visit. She likes the meals. I’ve seen they have lots of activities for the residents. I would recommend this place to my family and friends.

"Perfect place, but too expensive."

Sunrise Senior Living of Haverford is a great place for my parents, but sadly, it’s more than we can afford.

"A Caring Tour"

Wow, the tour was great! The staff were super friendly, and the place was really clean. The food looked good too. It's a nice spot to visit. If you need care for a loved one, definitely check it out.

"A Good Tour"

I toured this community. The tour guide was nice and the place seemed good, but it wasn't right for my loved one.

"Positive Experience at Senior Living Facility"

My dad's happy here. I'm happy too. Nice place with help.

"Mixed Feelings but Worth Recommending"

I like Sunrise and think it's good. It's pretty and clean. Walking in feels nice. People are friendly and caring. They have activities for seniors and good food. Most staff are nice and know what they're doing. The nurses and caregivers are dedicated. Most residents seem happy. But, they could be more organized. They need more staff for quicker help. New residents need better orientation. Despite this, I'm happy I chose Sunrise and recommend it.

"Friendly Staff and Good Care with Room for Activity Growth"

The employees have a great attitude—they’re friendly, caring, and seem happy to work here. The place is nice, though some furniture needs updating. Parking can be limited when the lot is full. The staff know what they’re doing and are pretty knowledgeable. The food is good, and my loved one has gained some weight back. They handle any issues quickly and manage medication well. They could add more afternoon activities beyond bingo, TV, and movies, like arts and crafts. The activities person is wonderful and enthusiastic. I’m impressed that they accept feedback without getting defensive.

"Underwhelmed with Sunrise: Pricey, Crowded, Poor Communication"

My firsthand encounter was pretty subpar. The frequent changes in the executive director and admin staff are worrisome. Even, communicating with families is not up to par. The facility itself is well-kept, but the personal care aides and caregivers have too much on their plate and can't handle it efficiently. The dining area is often packed and not very cozy. Considering the rising costs over time, I'm really not happy with what Sunrise offers. Basically, it seems like this entire sector is mostly about making money!

"Convenient location, responsive, but slow email replies"

I like that it's a small place, so they always know where my mom is. We picked it because it's close to our home. They respond when they can, but sometimes I don't get answers to my emails. They do their best, like when I asked for a dresser for my mom—they got it, but it took a week.

"Surprised by the Amazing Care"

I’m really impressed with how much the staff care and how experienced they are. The residents are super friendly, too. The room is big and pretty, and the whole place feels relaxed and fun. My mom just moved in a week and a half ago and is having a really hard time adjusting. The staff have been checking in on her all the time, working with her and my family, and coming up with creative solutions. They communicate a lot, usually reaching out to us first! Again, really impressed with this place.

"Great so far!"

I was very impressed with this place. They were warm, welcoming, and on top of things for Dad. Example: he needed a TV until we could move his stuff, and they had one installed within minutes. He's only been there a day, but I haven't received any panicked phone calls from him or them, so I consider that a great start! The atmosphere is cheerful, and I like that the price is all-inclusive (phone and cable too!), so there’s no extra charges for adding a service. I also like that medications are brought to the residents, not dispensed in one location. They have intellectual programs like current events discussions and history lectures, not just bingo. (Dad plays chess, not bingo.) The only downside is the lack of outdoor space. There's a nice wrap-around porch with rockers, but not much outdoor space for residents who need a walker or wheelchair.

"Sunrise of Haverford: Friendly But Lacks Family Communication"

Sunrise of Haverford is a pleasant and welcoming establishment with decent everyday service. However, there is a noticeable lack of focus on communication with family members from the management of Sunrise. My stepdad faced substantial challenges regarding a roommate issue which the facility didn't inform us about. The management of Sunrise only got in touch with us when the problem escalated to a point where they unilaterally decided his unrest required one-to-one care, without any input from the family. If this institution wants to improve its ranking, the managers should think about including the residents' families in important decisions that directly affect the lives of the residents.

"Decent for Short Visit, But Not for Permanent Living"

This place might be okay for a brief visit, but not for living. It's really tiny with no outdoor area for the residents. Additionally, visitor parking is pretty restricted.

"Great Choice for Our Family!"

My mother and our family are happy we chose Haverford's Sunrise Senior Living in July. It's conveniently located for us, my mom has settled in nicely, the meals are healthy and tasty, and the staff is wonderful! I do wish they had a backup generator for the elevator during power outages. But during a recent five-hour power outage, we visited Sunrise, and all the residents were safe and busy. Each person was quietly taken to their room and settled in by flashlight at bedtime! My mom was really impressed.

"Friendliness at Sunrise Senior Living is a 10!"

I was in a tough spot, the assisted care where my mom was living was too expensive, so I contacted 'A Place for Mom.' Donna reached out with several options, and it was an amazing experience. I chose Sunrise Senior Living of Haverford because it's five minutes away from my house, and I really liked the vibe when I visited. I saw a few other places, but this one felt the best. My mom just moved in, so she hasn't tried the activities or care services yet.

"Great Assisted Living Option!"

Really liked this place! The director knows everyone and what they need. The surroundings are nice. It might be a good fit for my mom.
