"Friendly Staff and Cozy Place, Small Apartments"

I had a good tour at The Quadrangle. The people were really friendly, and the place was nice, but the apartments were a bit small.

"Mixed feelings about assisted living: COVID restrictions, staff satisfactory."

I don't like that we have to call 30 minutes before visiting. Feels like they might be cleaning up or preparing for our arrival. COVID testing required makes visits difficult for our family. Can't wait until everything opens up. Despite restrictions, my dad seems happy and enjoys the food. Staff is great and he receives proper medical care. Limited activities due to COVID, and he's not interested in the few available. Socialization is lacking, but it might be the same elsewhere. Appreciate that they have him vaccinated.

"Negligent Assisted Living Home: Expensive, Disrespectful and Inadequate Care"

Don't place your loved ones here. This place is nothing but a scam. They took loads of cash from my folks by first putting them in an independent living situation-even though they clearly couldn't live alone! The management then realized my parents needed assisted living, and made them shift after swindling thousands of dollars from them. I warned them my mom would fall if she didn't have a caregiver around the clock. Long story short, my mom ended up in a wheelchair, unable to walk until she passed away. There was this other lady who was mocked by the aides and she ended up suing this place and winning! The food is inedible, the workers earn little and are always on their phones, and the activities are laughable! If you truly care about your loved ones, keep them at home and hire some help. Not only will it be cheaper, but also a great comfort to your family member who may not be able to express their wishes about end-of-life care. Consider yourself warned...

"Loss of Trust in Nursing Homes Following Dismaying Experience"

I can't believe they got their license back. My dear grandparent died at this place a while back, before the big lawsuit against Quadrangle about mistreating a patient with dementia. My grandparent seemed okay when they were in a two-bedroom apartment at Quadrangle. After being moved back and forth between skilled nursing and Bryn Mawr Hospital, they started saying that people were really mean to them. All the staff told me that my grandparent was just confused. But now that I've seen the lawsuit brought against them by the [name removed], I'll always have doubts about what truly happened. Reading recent reviews makes me sick. I for sure will never trust any nursing homes again after realizing that even the most respected of them are just business jokes.

"Terrible Experience; Unbearable Staff Led to Quick Removal"

This place is awful, awful, awful! I implore you, never put someone you care about in this poorly-run, inhospitable place with an unkind, lazy, inept staff! I don't have a single compliment for this facility. I removed my mom after a rough two weeks!

"Horrible Living Facility Neglects Elderly and Diabetic Needs"

ZERO STARS! This awful place doesn't deserve any ratings at all. My 93-year-old mom stayed here for a while. She has a medical issue with her throat and needs to constantly sip on iced water. When she buzzed for water, it practically took them ages to respond. She has to use a straw when drinking, or she could choke. They often told us that they were out of straws. Can you believe that? What kind of assisted living facility doesn't have straws? Sometimes, they even claimed that they didn't have cups or ice! I have a strong feeling that they were doing this so that they wouldn't be bothered with helping her go to the bathroom, because every time she needed it, she had to wait for around an hour for someone to come. Totally not cool. Could you stand holding it in for that long? My mom's diabetic health condition isn't cared for as well. She never once got the meal she asked for and more often than not, these meals were not even fit for a diabetic's diet. NO ONE GIVES A HOOT ABOUT ANYTHING IN THIS PLACE! Even when we brought up our concerns to them in person, things stayed the same. They don't care or consider the needs of the elderly. PLEASE DON'T send your elderly family members to this unfortunate place!

"Struggles with Alzheimer's Care; Inconsistent Staff and Communication"

My parents lived at the Quadrangle for three years, and they enjoyed it. But when my dad's Alzheimer's got worse, and he needed more help, things went downhill fast. The staff said they knew how to care for Alzheimer's patients, but it didn't seem like it. Instead of using methods that usually work for handling agitation, they called the police and pushed for more medication and even a psychiatric hospital. Plus, the information they gave us about my dad's condition was all over the place and wrong. I'm glad my dad isn't in that part of the facility anymore.

"Caregivers Unprofessional and Disgusting, Bad Start at Oak"

My mom went to Oak from the hospital. My husband and I saw caregivers in the hallway complaining about patients asking for help. It made me feel sick; it was so unprofessional and gross. I hope my mom gets the care and rehab she needs and can go back to her apartment on campus soon. It's been a bad start.

"Unacceptable Care Standards at Assisted Living Facility: A Personal Experience"

I utterly regret choosing this place. Having experienced other rehab facilities recently, I can confidently state that the care here is subpar. Whenever I ring the call bell, I always end up waiting for a whole 10 minutes even though I often overhear the staff chitchatting in the hallway. At this moment, I'm in so much pain. I’m hesitant to share too many details fearing the quality of my care might further deteriorate. It’s my third day here, and all I’ve done is eat alone in my room, watch TV, and shed teardrops constantly. The treatment I received at the other facility was starkly different. I wish I had requested to return there; the only appeal here was its proximity to my home, making it easier for my husband to visit. My plea is straightforward – you’re here for a purpose: to take care of patients. The neglected cries of help are truly heart-breaking. I desperately want to know whom I can address my concerns to, without jeopardizing the already minimal level of care I am receiving for writing this.

"“Nursing Care Falls Short at Assisted Living Facility”"

My dad stayed in the health care building for rehab after orthopedic surgery. The therapy was okay, but the nursing care wasn’t great. Nurses argued in the hallway, and administrators ate and joked while staff rushed to answer call bells. As an ER nurse myself, I could tell the nurses were unhappy. Unfortunately, I have to say this place is a definite no-go for everyone.

"Neglected Staff and Poor Care in Assisted Living Facility"

My dad was healing in this place after his bone surgery. They did alright on the therapy, but the nurses weren't so great. They'd be fighting in the hallway, while the bosses sit around eating and laughing as the workers hurry about to answer call bells. As an ER nurse, I know the signs of unhappy nurses when I see them. I've got to tell you, this place should be a definite NO for anyone.

"Caring Place with Good Food and Friendly Staff"

My mom gets great care here, and staff are friendly and attentive. The dining options are nice too!

"Satisfied Stay at the Quadrangle Assisted Living Facility"

My dad and stepmom moved to the Quadrangle last December. Sadly, Dad passed away seven months later. During his short stay, he liked it there. Step-mom stayed, living independently until last year when she moved to assisted living. Overall, she's happy. I like visiting, it's easy to get around. Most of the staff are helpful and good at their jobs. I think they need a bigger (and cheaper!) guest area. Whenever I try to book a room at the Quadrangle Bed and Breakfast, it's always full. Overall, the Quadrangle is a great place.

"Highly Recommended Assisted Living with Excellent Personal Care"

My husband lived at the Quadrangle Assisted Living for a year while I stayed in the Independent facility. He got great care there. The aides were very kind and always ready to help. Everyone, even the dining room servers, knew him personally. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs long-term care.

"Turn Away From This Assisted Living Facility"

My family members didn't get great care here. Don't get tricked by the nice buildings and rich areas. Picking the right place for your family member to live matters a lot! Do some research and check out the reviews like I wish I did.

"Don't Choose This Facility if More Care is Foreseeable"

My family member stayed at this place for quite a while. When they didn't require help, the place was okay. But when they aged and needed extra care, the staff wasn't great at all. They were indifferent, uncompassionate, and seemingly pushing them to give up their independence, likely because it gives them more profits. Don't come here if you think you’ll need extra care in the future!

"Hospital-Like Environment with Unfriendly Staff"

We visited this place for my mother in law but it didn't seem like the best choice for her. It felt more like a hospital there than a home, and the people working there didn't seem too friendly. We found another place that worked out better for us.

My aunt is doing well here. We feel comfortable, and the location is convenient for visits.

"Great Care and Friendly Staff for My Mother's Stay"

I was very happy with the care my mother got. The staff was friendly and helpful. They kept me updated on her progress and helped me plan to bring her home.

"Decline in Home-like Environment and Care at The Quadrangle"

My relative moved into The Quadrangle in 2008. At first, we were quite pleased with the care provided by the wonderful nurses and caregivers. Over time, however, we noticed a stark decrease in the quality of care. What was once a home-like environment for my mom gradually became an unfeeling corporate space. Most of the caring staff was replaced with those who seemed more concerned about profits than patient care. This took a toll on the home's atmosphere, as residents stopped feeling like part of a family. The staff often expressed their dissatisfaction with their jobs. The patient call system was often overlooked by staff or it didn't work at all. We found this rather distressing. While some of the warm-hearted staff remained when I decided to move my mother, the negatives certainly outweighed the positives. Despite conveying our concerns to the director on numerous occasions, all we ever received were fake smiles and insincere promises of improvement. She seemed to lack compassion and understanding of the patient's needs, which is a telling sign of poor leadership. It's really unfortunate because, with proper management, The Quadrangle could be a splendid facility for elderly care. Don't let the inviting scenery and friendly faces fool you. We learned that the hard way.

"Beware, Worst Facility with Terrible Care!!"

Our mom was under their care after her elbow surgery. The care she received was absolutely terrible and neglectful. Their physical therapy was harsh, going against doctor's orders. They also messed up with her medications... and this is just some of the issues we faced. I would NEVER advise anyone to let a loved one stay here!! The place might look great from outside but trust me, STAY AWAY from this place!!

"Needs More Attention for Newcomers"

My husband hasn't been at the facility for long. I think they could improve by being more attentive to new arrivals when they first move in.

"Incredible Staff Makes this Place Shine"

I believe the folks there are the best part of the place. Every person you speak with is super helpful and ready to answer any questions. I've discovered that the staff members are very kind, and my loved one appreciates and enjoys their company. The staff is truly what sets this place apart.

"Friendly, Dedicated Staff"

Things have been great at The Quadrangle! The staff are super friendly and helpful. Even the office staff know all the residents by name! They respond quickly to requests and always send someone to fix any issues right away. The staff are really committed to taking good care of everyone. For example, when the dining room had to close because of a flu outbreak, they delivered meals to each resident’s room until it reopened!

"Good place, wish for flexibility with medical services"

Mostly, things have been okay at The Quadrangle. It's a pretty place and the workers are nice to us. But, they kind of force you to use their doctor and drugstore. I wish they'd be okay with residents who have different medical services.

"Great place with minor construction issues"

Things have been great at The Quadrangle! It’s a beautiful, clean, and well-kept place. Both the staff and residents are super friendly! They have a nice program where current residents help new ones by showing them around and eating with them until they feel at home. The only problems we’ve had are due to construction. The phones were down for a few days, which was a hassle, and the pool has been closed during the work.

I enjoyed what I saw, but couldn't forget the previous money troubles.

"A Few Confusions Need Clarification"

This place is super friendly and bright, making me feel cheerful. The staff is great, too! At first, figuring out what I need was a bit confusing. I suggest having a checklist for newbies to know the important stuff when checking in and for the first few days. The rules for the clinic are confusing, and I've received conflicting signals on how it works.

"Considering Alternatives to Assisted Living"

Maybe we can't afford a buy-in program, but it seems better than assisted living. We're exploring active adult communities with real estate options for sale and resale. My mom has good genes, so she might live another 25 years. This place was quite nice, though.

"Explored Large Campus with Shuttle Service"

I had lunch and explored a really big campus with a shuttle service to other buildings as needed. I enjoyed the facility and the activities.
