"Poor Care and Dirty Conditions at Assisted Living Facility"
My family member had a miserable experience at this assisted living facility. They mistakenly gave her the wrong medication and I wasn't informed until 5 hours later. She even got hurt and injured her arm. This wasn't a pleasant encounter. My loved one broke her right hip while under their watch and had to be rushed to the hospital. Although doctors advised against using oxy for her, this facility continued to give it to her for two more months. On top of that, the place was just absolutely filthy.

"Poor Management and Care at Assisted Living Facility"
If you're thinking about this place for a family member as a short-term or long-term home, it is NOT where you'll find top-tier, consistent care, quick response to call bells, accurate and on-time medication, or compassionate staff. We had a recent incident with a family member that could've ended terribly. Now our loved one is in a much safer place with understanding staff. The management here seems to constantly cycle through Executive Directors and Nursing Directors because of their own issues and fear of the truth coming out. The treatment we saw here was far below what your loved one deserves. Don't make the same mistake we did. Sure, the building is pretty, but it hides a lot of nasty secrets.

"Looks Can Be Deceiving: Terrible Staff at Attractive Nursing Home"
This place looks wonderful on the outside, but the inside is a different story. I've seen workers being very mean and not caring for the patients. They may be unhappy because the facility seems poorly managed and there aren't enough staff members. Even so, the patients suffer because they're not looked after properly. The managers just walk around not doing much. The therapists are the only ones who seem to know what they're doing and they're nice. But they're only with the patients for a couple of hours each day. They don't make the overall decisions. When I complained to one of them, they told me to talk to the managers. I decided it was better for my aunt to leave early rather than stay in this terrible place.

"Inadequate Meals and Unfair Treatment at Assisted Living Facility"
Not giving a resident ice cream because they didn't go to the dining room is just wrong. The meals they serve in the rooms aren't enough food at all. I can't understand how they can be so mean and horrible. I'll be calling a news reporter to look into this.

"Insufficient Care at Assisted Living Facility, Patients Neglected"
Don't let anyone who can't stand up for themselves stay here. I had my mom here for 2 weeks, and the care was terrible. There was one great nurse, but the others didn't seem to understand how to care for elderly people. The therapy sessions could have been ok, but they never really got to know my mom because different therapists kept coming. These physical and occupational therapists gave up too easily on giving my mom the personal care she needed. Most of the nurse's assistants were quiet and seemed uncaring, which was very shocking. Only one seemed to genuinely care for my mom, washing and comforting her. Some were mean and wouldn't even talk to her as she cried out in pain from 5 fractures. The lack of care at this place lead to a serious health problem for my mom.

"Caring and Responsive Staff"
Great caring staff! My mom is in personal care and fell. The staff heard her yell for help and got there in seconds. They stayed with her until the ambulance arrived. The nurse called our family right away to let us know what happened. Later, the aide contacted us directly to check on mom and explain what happened, which was super helpful since my mom has memory issues and couldn’t tell the doctor herself. This is just one example of the great care the staff provides. She’s now getting great care on the rehab side! They care for her and keep us updated on everything. I feel like all the staff is working to take care of my mom, including the Executive Director who is amazing. She is available and knows what’s going on!

"Five-Star Experience at Vibralife: Warm, Inviting, and Comfortable"
I visited my friend’s mom at Vibralife in Pennsylvania during the holiday season. When I arrived, it felt like stepping into a 5-star hotel. Her family was warmly greeted by name, even though she had only been there a few days. When I saw her, she was upbeat and looking forward to getting home, but she was actually enjoying her stay and loved the dining. We brought her some food, but she preferred dining there with a smile, so we joined her. I wish I had found a place like this for my mom.

"Assisted living facility drops ball on personal care."
Definitely steer clear of this place. Sure, the therapy staff showed their skills, but the personal care team...they were a whole different story. "Poor Staffing And Neglect At Assisted Living Facility"
I was a patient in the rehab section of this assisted living place. My care was only somewhat decent during the day. This facility is understaffed with many employees who should not be working there - mainly the inexperienced ones. They are impolite and seem to lack compassion. After coming from the hospital due to surgery, I was incontinent for a few days and was not issued an ID bracelet during my stay. Three different nights, during the third shift, I rang for assistance but nobody responded. As a result, I spent the night drenched in my own urine until my family found out and raised concerns. At other times, I did not always receive my medication correctly and was marked down continually for services and care I did not receive. The food was often cold. There were even instances when I had to stay alone in my bed without sheets, with no assistance to get me dressed or make my bed. Please think twice before sending your loved ones to this facility.

"Facility's Failures: Horrible Rehab Stay Drenched in Neglect"
My stay in the facility's rehab section was horrible. The care I received was barely satisfactory and that was only during the day. They don't have enough staff, and some employees really shouldn't even be there. They come off as cold and rude, especially the younger ones. I entered this place after coming from the hospital due to surgery, which resulted in my incontinence for a few days. During my entire stay, I was never issued an ID bracelet. There were three different nights, during the third shift, that my calls for help were ignored. As a result, I spent the entire night soaked in my own urine until my family found out and caused a stir. There were times when I wasn't given my prescribed medication yet it was falsely recorded that I was. Additionally, the food was always served cold. I also had instances where I had no sheets on my bed, and there was no one available to assist me with dressing or bed-making. I strongly advise against sending any loved ones to this facility.

"Stay Away – Assisted Living Facility Fails to Provide Adequate Care"
At first, this assisted living place seemed nice and inviting. The staff appeared friendly and willing to assist us. My mom lived there for 21 days, but we considered leaving way sooner. My mom was bed or chair-bound for six weeks. One day, she called me saying she was drenched after laying in her wet clothing for an hour, despite her calling the nurses. When I contacted the nursing station, they blamed my mom saying she didn't know how to use the call bell. It wasn't my mom's first time in rehab. The service during weekends and night shifts was even worse. The staff wasn't skilled in handling patients with limited mobility. In the mornings, they'd get my mom out of bed, then leave her sitting in a chair all day which caused her pain and discomfort. After spending about 8 hours a day with her, I saw the low standard of care provided. They made mistakes in medications, denied medications, didn’t serve enough food, ignored call bells, and were rude, though there were few exceptions. The rooms were also dirty, and some staff members were even lazy. If my mom needed help, she often had to wait for 45 minutes to an hour after calling for assistance because they needed a second person to help her, leading to unnecessary accidents. The staff was rough and the communication was poor. I've more to share but am reporting them to health officials. My final piece of advice is never to send a loved one here unless there's someone available to stay with them all the time to ensure their proper care. We were extremely dissatisfied with this place. Don't let the good looks of the building fool you!

"Odd experience at rehab side; capable nurse treated unfairly"
I had a weird experience in the rehab part of the building. I found out later that the Director of Nursing was scolding a worker in a shared area. I didn't want my family to see that. The nurse being treated unfairly was one of the only capable people here. If I were her, I might consider legal action. Most employees here work hard without much support from the higher-ups or registered nurses. If you need help, the licensed practical nurses are the most caring and knowledgeable.

"Leadership Fails Supportive Staff at Facility"
I witnessed something weird on the rehabilitation side of the facility. Apparently, what was happening was the DON scolding an employee in a public care area. This was something I didn't want my relatives to see. The nurse that was being mistreated is one of the few efficient people in this place. If I were her, I'd consider legal action. Most of the employees work hard here without any support from management or the RNs. If you're in need of help, the LPNs are the most kind-hearted and informed.

"Stay Clear: Poor Care and Dubious Practices at This Facility."
Avoid this place at all costs. Seriously, distance yourself as much as possible. If you're forced to put a family member here and they can't fully take care of themselves, stick with them as much as you can. Arrive early, leave late...the night staff is just terrible. Days are a tad better, but the care is still questionable. We're talking about everything from wrongly giving out medicine to cleanliness issues, to you know what - basically, if you think it, we've likely seen it during our 5 day visit. It's no surprise they're so eager to get you to sign a Do Not Resuscitate form during registration. My experience is only with the rehab section of this facility...I don't know about the nursing home part. Please, be cautious and alert.

"Avoid This Facility: Subpar Care and Grim Conditions"
Keep your distance from this place. Seriously, back up big time. If you absolutely HAVE to send a loved one here, especially if they cannot take care of themselves fully, make sure to stay with them as much as you can. Get there bright and early and stick around till late. The ones working the night shift are a total disaster. Things are a bit better during the daytime, but the care they offer is still pretty shaky. We came across everything from wrong handing and giving out medication, dirtiness, and other stuff too bad to name in our 5 day stay. It's not surprising they pressure you to sign a Do Not Revive form when you sign in. All these comments are about the rehab facility...I can't vouch for the nursing home side. Just stay on your toes and be careful out there.

"Warning: Inferior Care at Local Assisted Living Facility"
If your family member isn't able to fully look after themselves and you place them in this facility, they're likely to get really terrible care. What I've seen here has left me utterly shocked. No person should be treated this way. Just because someone is elderly or has disabilities doesn't mean they're any less human. These people deserve even more patience and kindness. If any of your loved ones are in rehab in this place (I can't comment on the other units but if they're run by the same people, there's probably problems), it's crucial that you visit them in the morning and at night. The day staff seem slightly better than the night staff, but both are far from satisfactory. It's not uncommon to see call bells ringing for 20 minutes without a response. This results in residents being left for hours in their own waste. When help does arrive, the staff are often rough and fail to properly clean the residents. It's hard to even find a staff member when you need one. Without knowing if a resident is simply asking for water or having a serious health crisis after pressing the call bell, no one should have to wait for 20 minutes for help. Think about the fact that these incidents have happened with family members around. I don't even want to imagine what happens when no one's there to witness it. Not everyone on staff is bad, but there's too many who shouldn't be working in this field at all. They're negligent, lacking in patience, and more concerned about chatting with their coworkers. We got my mom out of there within just a few days. The half star rating is the lowest I can give. If I could, it would be zero.

"Avoid this assisted living facility at all costs!"
Allow me to express my ultimate disappointment with this assisted living facility if you're considering for a loved one who isn't completely independent. My experience here was unsettling – it was truly horrible. Every human deserves respect, especially the elderly and disabled. They need a lot more patience and compassion, not the treatment they are met with here. Specifically, the rehab area (I can't really comment on the rest, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's poorly managed too), you should make it a point to visit both morning and evening. Daytime staff seem okay but the nighttime crew is a nightmare. Call bells are left unanswered for about 20 minutes, and residents are ignored while needing the restroom or a clean-up. When eventually someone attends to them, they're harsh and do a terrible job cleaning up. You'd roam the hallways desperately seeking help and finding no one available. The severity of a resident's condition is unknown when the call bell rings, and waiting 20 minutes to know if it's a minor or a major issue is unacceptable. These horrifying incidents happened when relatives were around – it's terrifying to even imagine what happens in our absence. While not all caregivers here are deplorable, far too many of them shouldn't be working in sectors that require care. They seem negligent, short-tempered, and more focused on chatting than caring. We relocated my mom after a brief stay. I'm giving this place a half-star rating because that's the lowest I can give on this platform, but if possible, I'd rate it a zero.

"File Complaints with Health Dept. for Assisted Living Issues"
Here’s an easier version of your review: "I'm giving a pretty average - three stars because I'm not sure whether it's good or bad. My Dad is staying there for his recovery. So far, it's decent. For those giving bad reviews or needing information, here's a tip. You can file a complaint with the Pennsylvania Department of Health. They're in charge of regulating these places, and they have to pass health checks by the Department of Health for the national government (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services). If you're dealing with uncleanliness, or not enough care, etc., reach out to them with the details (when it happened, who was involved, etc.). They'll look into your complaint. If they find issues, they can take action like highlighting the problems, asking for changes, imposing fines, increasing checks, and more. You can also get the results of their investigation if you didn't complain anonymously. Problems get dealt with when people make noise. If you want a problem resolved, start complaining to the right people.

"VibraLife Doesn't Deliver on Initial Promise"
Our journey with VibraLife ended up being a bummer. At first, we were pretty hopeful. The director of admissions was amazing and helped us move our special person from a bad place. The people who were caring for personal needs in the dementia unit were really kind. But then they evaluated our dear one again and said he needed more care than they could give in the dementia place. VibraLife wasn't prepared to help with dementia needs in their skilled care place, they quickly saw this and completely ignored us. After all her help to move our loved one in, we can't talk to the admissions director anymore. We've called and left lots of messages, but she doesn't call back.

""Definitely Wouldn't Recommend this Messy, Poorly Run Facility!""
The workers are noticeably exhausted and overwhelmed, but still approachable. It doesn't seem like there are enough of them to meet everyone's needs. Given that the facility is quite new, it was disappointing to see how dirty the carpets, floors, and public bathrooms were. It made us wonder if they even have a full-time cleaning crew. We ate in the dining hall and not only was it unclean, but the complaints from residents about the food and slow service were upsetting to hear. The nursing staff we saw were doing all they could for the residents. But do they have a dedicated food service team? We noticed that the activity calendar had barely any events in the evenings. The residents seemed pretty bored. This could be a result of being new, but things seemed really chaotic and poorly managed. We couldn't recommend this place for your family. Luckily we found a great place for our Mom.

Rewrite this 4 star review of an assisted living facilities retaining the tone and using 8th grade level american English: 'We toured here, and we liked them, but it felt a little like a nursing home. It was a little smaller than we were looking for, with only like 12 beds in the section we were considering. The semi-private room we were looking at was divided by a curtain, which added to the nursing home feel. We also didn't care for the way the pricing was set up.' then create a headline (in 10 words or less and placed in double ) that summarizes the review and resembles 'It was a little smaller than we were looking for' .

"AVOID THIS PLACE FOR REHABILITATION!"
Refrain from choosing this place for your cherished ones. Multiple times this week, there weren't any fresh towels or washcloths for residents to use for their showers. When I asked the nurse about this, her reply was "it's a constant issue here." The meals offered are always chilly and, unfortunately, there aren't any other options for patients in the recovery area. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LOOKING ELSEWHERE.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Char Leads Knowledgeable, Caring Team"
Char, or Charlotte, the nurse and manager, is experienced and helpful. She explained everything about the facility in detail. The Memory Care unit was clean without any bad smells. The grounds had calm colors and met safety standards. The rooms were the right size, and residents with dementia seemed happy and well cared for. Although the facility is new, their Memory Care services are reliable. Families can cook for their loved ones on special occasions, and there are flexible activities. It would be nice if they added more on-site activities like gardening. Overall, it's a good, clean place that I'm considering. The staff is skilled, professional, and kind.

This place just opened up. The residents were searching for fun stuff to do, but it was super dull for them. The person in charge is a licensed practical nurse. It felt like they were trying to make one approach work for everyone.
