"Great Assisted Living with Cottages, Affordable Prices, and Extras"
We’ve been here for a few months, and it’s a fantastic place. They offer cottages and apartments in the main building. We picked a cottage to avoid elevators and potential lockdown issues. There are 38 cottages here, which is great. They’re like duplexes, but you can’t hear your neighbor. The bedrooms have carpet, and the rest of the space has nice vinyl flooring. The monthly cost is very reasonable—we only pay for electricity, and they cover the water. They handle all repairs and replacements. Each cottage has a garage with a bit of a driveway, so you can park one car in the garage and another behind it. The garages are really big and unique. The cottages also come with lovely patios, about 8x10 feet, and you can extend them for an extra fee or add an awning. The area is surrounded by trees, which makes it very pretty. This place is more affordable compared to others nearby. Each cottage also has a front porch, perfect for meeting neighbors and hanging out. The community feels upscale with a new bar, a nice bartender, and a new restaurant. There is nursing care available, but it’s more for independent living, so we’re not sure about the details. The physical and occupational therapists who come here are amazing.

"Great renovations, improving meals, minimal activities, and thoughtful holiday treats"
Our experience during COVID: We think they are doing a great job keeping the community clean. They renovated the main lobby and a few other small areas, and it really made a difference. It feels almost like a hotel, and it is fabulous. The meals were fabulous at first when our loved one moved in, but once they had to lock down, the meals were awful. However, they can eat in the dining room again, and the meals are getting much better. They are doing minimal activities, which we are very thankful for. They take the residents on bus rides, and for the holidays, they give them little gift bags.

"Excellent support and guidance for placing elderly loved ones."
I've been working with Wesley Enhanced Living Upper Moreland to find a place for my parents. The staff has been amazing in helping us decide and giving us advice. I would suggest this place to anyone who wants to put someone in a really good environment.

"Happy Mom, Happy Me at WEL-UM"
My mom has been at WEL-UM for over a year. She likes the place, the staff, and the help she gets. They always take the time to answer my questions and concerns. Mom's happy living there, and that makes me happy too!

"Security Concerns Raised After Recent Robbery Incident"
Consider other options. My mom's place was recently burglarized and a lot of precious things were taken. It seems like not many folks around here are bothered by this event. I'm confident there are other locations that offer more security and safety.

"Informative Staff and Cozy Apartments Make a Good Start”"
This place is nice and well-presented. The apartments are a bit small, but that’s okay for me—I don’t need a lot of amenities. I’d rather not pay for things I won’t use. Also, I’m not comfortable with buying a cottage and losing my equity after 4+ years. The staff was helpful, and my initial experience was good.

"Caring Staff, Great Atmosphere, Affordable Pricing"
The BEST retirement community ever! I’ve been looking into this since 1996, first for my parents and now for my husband and me, especially since we’ve retired from work and are dealing with the challenges of owning a home while trying to age gracefully. Wesley Enhanced / Upper Moreland has a wonderful, caring staff, a strong community spirit, and all the support retirees could wish for. It’s also reasonably priced. We are really happy in our perfect cottage, feel secure about the future, and consider ourselves very lucky!

"Feeling Blessed with the Perfect Retirement Community"
The BEST CCRC Retirement Community by far! I’ve been looking into this since 1996, first for my parents and later for my husband and me. With retirement and the challenges of homeownership, we wanted to find a place where we could "age gracefully." Wesley Enhanced/Upper Moreland has a caring staff, a great community spirit, and all the support retirees need, all at a sensible price. We’re very happy in our perfect cottage, feel secure about the future, and are truly blessed!

"Flexible dining, limited activities; cost may affect amenities."
I didn't notice many planned things to do, but maybe it's because this place costs a lot. I do like that you can choose when to eat with the monthly plan.

"Pleasant Tour, Not the Right Fit"
The team here gave us a good tour, taking us everywhere and responding to all we asked. It just didn’t seem like the right place for my mom.

"New beginnings at assisted living: Friendly atmosphere, excellent food."
My folks just moved into the independent living spots here. They've only been there a little while, but they're feeling pretty good about it. People are nice, the grub is tasty, and their place is roomy.

"Expensive cottage option, lovely but financially unfeasible for us."
I met with the Director and took a tour of the apartment building and one apartment. Also, I saw a Twin cottage that was nice. We need to discuss finances. The cottage includes fifteen meals a month, but it's different for the apartments. If we ever need skilled care, we'd consider WEL in Doylestown. However, the cottages don't offer skilled care, only assisted living and skilled care for apartment residents. Cottages seem too pricey for us. We'd have to cover all utilities ourselves. It feels like trading our home for this expense would strain us financially, not downsize. There are only a few one-bedroom cottages, and we're third on the list. Even though we saw the largest cottage, it's becoming less and less feasible for us.
