"Caring staff, organized move-in, but food and parking issues."
Overall, I'd say the place is good. The people who work there are really nice and friendly. They remember your name, even the folks who clean up and cook. Moving in was easy and they had everything ready for me. There weren't many surprises, which was nice. But the food isn't great. They don't give you a lot, but if you're still hungry, you can ask for more. I like simple food, like meat and potatoes, but some of the stuff they serve isn't my favorite. And sometimes they run out of basic things like vanilla ice cream or rye bread, which can be annoying. Most of the people who live there seem happy, though. The biggest problem for me is that there's not enough parking near the building. It can be hard to find a spot if you use a walker or something like that. But the people who run the place are easy to talk to and they listen to your ideas. If you need help with something, they're quick to help out.

"Clean and Convenient Assisted Living Community"
I think others should consider this community for their loved ones. I really liked how the place was laid out and how clean it was. Having everything in one place is a good idea. Older folks need a place where they can live independently, even if they don't want all their meals provided. It would be better if residents could cook their own food if they wanted to. My loved ones weren't happy about having to pay for meals they didn't eat.

"Rent Hike at Facility Amidst COVID, No Fun Activities"
I’m feeling upset. The place where I live increased the rent by 10% and it’s only been half a year. They didn’t let us know beforehand. Because of the pandemic, we don’t have any fun things to do, no group activities, or a van to take us places. The people in charge say they need more money because of COVID. But I can’t figure out why we have to pay more if we’re not even getting the fun stuff we used to.

"Disappointing Experience at Atria Aquidneck Place Assisted Living Facility"
Don't recommend. Too expensive, always increasing prices. Moving loved ones. Place charges extra for everything. Price not reduced for pandemic restrictions. Nurses scheduling without informing families.

"Corporate mindset, lacking compassion. Decent dining."
This place feels more like a big business than a caring community. They seem to prioritize money over kindness and understanding. However, I will say that the restaurant here is not too bad.

"Perfect place for Mom, smooth transition, highly recommended!"
I want to thank A Place for Mom for helping our family connect with Atria Aquidneck in Portsmouth, RI. We were searching for a quality facility that was affordable and in a good location for my mom, given her limited income and assets. We couldn't be happier with the result. Your representative was very helpful and responsive, putting us in touch with the right people at Atria Aquidneck. Everyone there was very accommodating and quick to help us. We were lucky to find this place when we did because of Mom's mobility and memory loss issues, but she has settled in well and is getting used to her new home. The transition was smooth and easy, thanks to everyone at Atria who helped us through this process. The facility is top-notch, and Mom has already made many new friends there. All my siblings agree that we hope we can find such a great place when our time comes!
