"Brookdale Centre of New England: Disappointing Memory Care Experience"
Our time at Brookdale Centre of New England wasn't great. My family member got moved to Memory Care without us knowing, and it wasn't what we expected. There weren't enough staff around either.

"Caring Staff, Missing 24-Hour Service"
The staff is super friendly and really cares about my mom's comfort and happiness. I just wish they had 24-hour front desk service.

"Unfulfilled Promises and Lost Money at Assisted Living Facility"
This place seemed inviting but it's pretty old. My main issue was clearly stating what we needed and seeing if they could provide for those needs. They promised to give my Mom everything she needed for her cancer treatment. We knew this would increase the cost. In the end, they weren't able to fulfill their promise. We still had to fork over $10,000, and my Mom didn't even live there. They gave us false hopes. This was a tough lesson to learn.

"Mixed Experience at Brookdale Assisted Living"
Our family visited Brookdale for a tour. The tour was fine. The facility is located in a commercial area, which we didn't love. The residents didn't seem very active, but that might not be Brookdale's fault. The staff we met were very friendly.

"Not My First Choice"
My virtual tour at Brookdale Centre of New England was okay. The facility didn't look as nice to me as the place I picked.

"Nice facility with friendly staff opted for another option."
We visited Brookdale, it was nice and people were friendly. It was comfy and clean, but we chose a different place.

"Navigating Assisted Living During Covid"
Covid has made some things tricky. For example, if you drop something off, you can’t take it inside right away. It has to sit in the front foyer for a day, which doesn’t feel very secure. We ended up paying for extra things like medical supplies and snacks, which we didn’t know about upfront. The staff keeps in touch with my brother and me, but communication could be a bit better. They sent a Mother’s Day email, but more notice about family visits would be nice. Overall, I’ve had positive interactions with the staff. My loved one enjoys the drink cart, although I’m not sure how often it comes by. I worry that she puts on a good act even when she’s not feeling well mentally, and I’m not sure they see through it. Covid has made it tough not being able to visit inside. We notice things they might miss because we know her well.

"Food Delivery Challenges Amid Pandemic"
Everything was nice. It met our expectations. Our loved one liked the food, although sometimes it arrived late or cold due to pandemic-related delivery.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
This place was really nice. The one-bedroom apartments are good. The hallways are super long and big. It didn't feel very homey. I didn't see many people around. But I like the location.

"Caring Community!!"
My mom loves this place! The staff are really nice. They welcomed her warmly and take good care of her. She enjoys eating in the dining room and the healthy meals. She's getting used to the programs and can't wait to join activities. I think it's great and would suggest it to anyone.

"Wonderful Community, My Mom is Happy Here"
I am very happy with my mom's move to this community. It is a beautiful place. They do a great job keeping everything neat and tidy. The staff is amazing and always ready to help. I have a list of all the activities they have each month. My mom loves the meals. The residents really like the chef. They really helped us when we needed it. I would recommend this community; it has been great for us.

"Honest About Care Needs"
I enjoyed visiting this community. It looks really nice. Everyone was friendly and the place was clean and active. My husband had an assessment at the hospital, and they told us that based on his care needs, this place wouldn't be a good fit. I appreciated their honesty.

"Husband is happy and well cared for!"
My husband is doing well. The staff takes care of him and makes him feel comfortable. The meals are very good; I’ve even shared one and thought it was tasty too. All the staff are wonderful, and I would recommend this place.

"Friendly staff, good food, but needs better transportation options"
My uncle really likes the staff at Brookdale. I'd rate the food a 4 out of 5. There was a problem with the doctor because he went on vacation without telling anyone. My uncle also thinks there should be more transportation options, not just a bus on Tuesdays.

"Very Happy"
My mother has been at Brookdale for a month now and has adapted very well. Her apartment is nice, and she speaks highly of the staff. My only complaint is that on the day she moved in, it seemed unorganized. There was no one to greet her and help her settle in, which was disappointing for us. However, she enjoys the meals and is eating much better now. She seems very happy there now, which is what matters.

"Friendly Staff, But Needs Better Invoicing and Response Time"
They could do better with sending invoices right away. I still haven’t received one, even though I’ve given them three checks. Their response time isn’t great either. On the bright side, everyone is really friendly, which is why we chose them.

"Good, but communication needs improvement."
We like many things about NE Bay Retirement. The place feels welcoming, with clean and pleasant decor. The staff is friendly, patient, and helpful. However, communication needs improvement. We want more details about Dad’s activities, therapy, and medication. Different people give conflicting information. We visit daily and would appreciate a family meeting to discuss these concerns.

"Careless Staff and Unfit Activities at Assisted Living Facility"
They just don't seem to care when residents get worse. There's absolutely no fun or chances to hang out with other people. The activities aren't suitable and hardly ever get done. The staff seem unprepared and don't know how to help people with Alzheimer's.

"Nice Place, Too Big and Stressful"
We visited this place while searching for living assistance for a family member. The place looked pretty good but it was way too big for what we wanted. Our family member would have been too stressed out here, and I don't believe she would have adjusted well.

"Recurring Hospital Trips and Uneven Staff Quality"
My loved one had to visit the hospital quite often. In just three weeks, we had to take him to the hospital every weekend, even twice within two days once. There were a few staffers who were really caring, but I'm not sure about the rest. It seemed like problems always arose on the weekends.

"Welcoming, modern facility with great rooms and friendly dog!"
The owners were very welcoming. The building is less than five years old and beautifully decorated. It has a lovely courtyard with rocking chairs, an outdoor fireplace, and a hotel-style dining room. There are many fun activities, and the resident dog, Molly, is a friendly greeter. The rooms are large, with big bathrooms that are accessible and easy to move around in. It's a great place for the price.

"Decent Amenities, Poor Care in Assisted Living Facility"
My mom stayed in this assisted living place. It's a pretty new place with some cool services. Some of the staff are really sweet but a lot of them have gone. Mom was given the wrong medicine which sent her to the hospital for a fortnight. They've never taken responsibility for their error and we didn't take them to court. Mom's staying in another place now.
