"Positive Experience from Afar"
I think things are going well. Since I'm not nearby, I can't stay updated on everything happening there.

"Good effort despite staffing challenges"
No place is perfect, but they try. Staffing is challenging.

"Clean but Staffing Issues, Memory Unit Caution"
The place looks nice and the shared spaces are tidy. However, my mom's room often wasn't cleaned. The usual staff are friendly, but because there aren't enough of them, they bring in temporary workers who don't know the people in the memory unit. I think their general assisted living is alright, but I wouldn't suggest the memory unit for someone you care about.

"Incompetent Alzheimer's Care; Not Recommended for Families"
My parents and our family had an overall terrible experience here. They said they provided care for those with memory problems, but they didn't meet our expectations. They aren't adequately trained for dealing with patients who have Alzheimer's, which was detrimental for my mom and dad. Rather than appropriately guiding my mom, they would just send her to her room. My dad didn't have the chance to leave, it felt as if they were both stuck in their own house. This place is awful, I would never recommend it to other families.

"Memory Care Wing Lacks Privacy, Charges for All Services"
At Anchor Bay, the memory care area didn’t give me a good vibe. It’s pretty much one large space unless folks are in their own rooms. Plus, they bill you for every bit of care provided.
