The experience has been good for my loved ones and family overall. The community seems to be understaffed, which is why I gave it 3 stars. My loved ones have had a lot of delays in getting their requests taken care of after talking to the staff.

"Great Place to Live with Friendly Faces and Fun Activities"
This community has nice staff and friendly residents. There’s always something fun to do here. They offer workout programs five days a week. They also have a chorus that sings now and then, entertainment that visits a few times a week, card games, board games, and lots of other activities for everyone.

The activities are starting again, and they've done a great job getting things back on track. The place is clean and beautiful, with nice rooms. The staff is easy to work with and genuinely cares about our loved ones.

"Affordable and Spacious Apartments with COVID Restrictions; Happy Mom"
We picked Anchor Bay at Pocasset because it fit our budget. The apartments are big and comfortable. It's tough to judge fully because of COVID rules still affecting things. But Mom's content, so I am too.

"Mixed feelings about Brookdale Pocasset Bay"
Since my friend moved to Brookdale Pocasset Bay, I've noticed a couple of things that bothered me. One day when she wasn't feeling well and stayed in her room all day, no one checked on her to see how she was doing. I think they should pay more attention if someone isn't feeling well. Also, one of the housekeepers accidentally broke a valuable trinket but didn't report it. I believe she should have. Apart from these concerns, it's a nice place. I've had lunch with my friend there a few times, and the food is really good. She also appreciated that it's in a familiar area and they offered her a special deal to move in.

"Facility Misleads on Medicaid Coverage, Resident's Future Uncertain"
My mother-in-law has lived in her own apartment at this assisted living facility since 2008. As she approaches her 97th birthday, we started looking into other options because her funds are running low. We were worried about what would happen when she ran out of money. Would there be a room available for her that Medicaid could cover? The social worker told us to grab the vacant room while she could still pay for a few more months. They said Medicaid would take over once her money ran out. But, the Director told us something completely different. He said we'd have to find a new place for her when her money is gone. We'll see what happens. The facility is reaching out to state and federal agencies to see what can be done.
