"Mixed Feelings About Visiting"

This community was nice, but not the best for visits.

"Nice Tour, But Distant Location"

Our family took an in-person tour, and it was pleasant. However, the location was too far away for us.

"Friendly Tour in Clean, Cozy Community"

Capitol Ridge at Providence gave us a friendly tour, showcasing their clean, well-kept community. We chose a smaller, better-fit place for Mom

"Smaller, friendlier community; clean and welcoming atmosphere; not ideal fit."

The visit to Capitol Ridge at Providence was really nice. The people who worked there were friendly, and they showed us around and told us about the place in a good way. It was super clean and looked after well. We picked a smaller community because it suited my mom's needs better.

"Wonderful experience with beautiful setting, great food, and happy guests!"

I’m thankful for your kindness and quick replies to my messages. Your organization and support made our family’s special day unforgettable. Please thank any staff who worked behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly. Our guests loved Capitol Ridge’s beauty, the lovely room, and especially the delicious meal. They even enjoyed taking home leftovers, which is always a good sign! My mom was honored to host this event in her home and was a proud Nana. :)

"Special family day made memorable"

I appreciate how you quickly answered my messages and patiently handled all my questions. Your organization and professionalism helped make our family’s special day unforgettable. Please thank the "behind the scenes" staff who made everything run so smoothly. Our guests loved Capitol Ridge's beauty, the lovely room, and especially the delicious meal. They even enjoyed taking leftovers home, which is always a good sign! My mom was proud to host this event in her home, and she felt honored and happy as a proud.

"Excellent Caregivers and Smooth Transition"

My mom has been living here for a few months, and she's doing well. Her move went smoothly. This place is great, and everything she needs is close by. The staff are amazing caregivers and help with her medicine and overall health. I would recommend this place to others.

"He feels right at home!"

The staff has been good with my father-in-law. They offer many activities to keep everyone active. The people there are really nice and help my father-in-law feel at home.

"Friendly and Knowledgeable"

My time with them was great. They were friendly and knew a lot about the place. We picked this one because my dad knew it from visiting a friend.

"Capital Ridge Assisted Living Review"

Capital Ridge has been a wonderful place for my mom, sister, and me. After many hospital stays and time in nursing homes, my mom is finally in a comfortable place where she is well taken care of. In just a few weeks, she's already settling in like it's her own home. Before, my sister and I spent every day at hospitals and nursing homes because we saw how uncomfortable she was and how she wasn't being cared for properly. Our lives were consumed with sitting in her rooms for hours, dealing with issues of care that wasn't up to par. Now, we can actually visit her instead of having to take care of her and monitor her all the time. Her life, as well as ours, has gotten a lot better

"Assisted Living Transformed Mom's Life and Family Relationships"

Capital Ridge has been a huge help for my mom, my sister, and me. Mom had been in and out of hospitals and nursing homes for nearly a year, but now she's in a nice place where she's taken good care of. She's getting used to it quickly, feeling like it's her own home. Before, my sister and I had to spend all our time in hospitals and nursing homes because Mom wasn't comfortable or getting the right care. But now, we can actually enjoy our visits instead of just worrying about her. Mom's life, and ours, has gotten a lot better.

"Clean, caring facility; activities unknown, but promising overall"

We're considering this place for the future. It's very clean, and the care looks great. I can't say much about the activities, though.

The facility we’re considering seems like the one we’ll choose. It’s very clean, and the care looks great. I can’t comment on the activities though.

"Friendly aides, but need better performance"

It's going okay. The aides are friendly but not very thorough. Cleanliness is good, but I wish the aides did a better job.

"Assisted Living Review: Room for Improvement with Aides"

My stay's alright. I wish aides were better. They're nice but not very good at their job. Cleanliness is fine. Only thing I want improved is the aides.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

This was just a short stay, so not based on living there long. Overall, they seemed satisfied. The people were nice. It was kept pretty clean, but sometimes they had to wait a bit for help—not too long, but longer than they'd like. There weren't enough staff in the dining room; food, even coffee and eggs, was often cold. There weren't many activities; some, like bingo, didn't interest my parents. Holly, Deborah, and Andrea really made an effort for my parents. They stayed late to greet them and were very responsive. The important things were handled well, and we appreciated it.

"Neglected and Overcharged at Capitol Ridge Assisted Living"

My mom stayed in this place for a while before we decided to switch her to a different home. At first, the workers seemed really dedicated and caring, but the managers often disregarded them and wouldn't even greet us. I was really upset when I noticed a bill for vacuuming. They told me they only vacuum once a week, and if another time is needed, they'll charge for it. My mom has trouble seeing, and she knocked over a plant, which caused the extra charge. When I tried to talk about it with their director, they were completely useless and barely knew about the daily operations. I'm not even sure they knew my mom's name. They claimed to organize full-day activities, but most times they were canceled or simply didn't happen. My mom often sat for 30 minutes at their "Bingo nights" before she realized no one was coming. The last straw was when my mother hit her "help button" to use the bathroom and waited over an hour. When someone from our family walked in, she found my mom soaked and had to change her clothes. A worker came in, "reset the button," and left without helping. Capitol Ridge totally doesn't care about personal connections or treating people right. They're just focused on getting as much money as possible from the residents and giving them poor care. For a nearly $6,000 monthly fee, you'd expect enough staff and people who actually care. But at Capitol Ridge, it's clear that the only thing they're worried about is squeezing as much money as they can from the residents.

"Steer clear of Capitol Ridge's scout care and extra charges"

My mom lived in this place for a while before we finally switched her to a different one. At first, the people looking after her were really nice and helpful, but the people higher up didn't seem to care. They would barely even say hi. It really bugged me when I saw that they charged my mom for vacuuming. When I asked about it, they said that they only do it once a week, and if she needed more, she'd have to pay for it. My mom can't see well and she knocked over a plant, which is why they charged her more. When I tried to talk to the head person about this, she was no help and she seemed like she didn't even know what was going on every day. I don't even think she knew my mom's name. They also had a schedule of fun things to do every day, but they would cancel them a lot. My mom tried to play bingo a few times, but she would just end up sitting in a room with everyone else waiting for someone to show up and start the game. The worst part was when my mom needed help to use the bathroom, but no one came to help her for over an hour. One of my family members found her wet and was helping her change when someone finally came in. But all they did was turn off the alarm and left without helping. This place doesn't care about the people living there at all. They just want to take as much money as they can from them while barely taking care of them. It cost almost $6,000 a month for my mom to live there. You'd think for that much money they'd have enough people working and that they'd actually care about the people they're supposed to be helping. But at this place, it's obvious they only care about making as much money as they can off everyone.

"Lots of Activity"

It was a really busy place. There were residents coming and going, and lots of activity happening. I thought my cousin might feel a bit overwhelmed by so many people.

"Inadequate Service and Care at Assisted Living Facility"

We went with this facility, but mom and dad are having a hard time adjusting. They promised to wash their clothes every Saturday, but when I visited on Sunday, the laundry was still untouched and piled up. They were also supposed to craft a care plan for mom, but we're still awaiting their plans. In the dining area, they told us that seats aren't assigned but my folks have been asked to switch seats multiple times; this has been embarrassing and tough for them. Unless we're there to oversee matters, they're being neglected. I've reached out to the manager twice with no response. The problem seems to stem from a shortage of staff. These young hires they've got vanish on weekends, either enjoying their time off or falling sick unexpectedly. They claimed to provide memory care, but when I spoke to one of their nurses, she informed me that we were at the wrong center for that service. And their billing system is a mess too, inaccurately charging us for meals delivered to mom and dad's room that we didn't order. Our experience has been far from satisfactory.

"Convenient, Caring, and Highly Recommended"

We picked this place because it's close to our family, making visits easy. Capitol Ridge came highly recommended, and now we know why. They let residents bring pets during the day, which is great. We got a call from our loved one recently, and she just wanted to say she's happy there. That meant the world to us. We're very pleased and would highly recommend Capitol Ridge to anyone.
