"Friendly Assisted Living with Room for Improvement"
The assisted living facility is very clean. They offer a variety of daily activities. The residents appear happy and are friendly. The pool is a big hit with my mother. The head nurse has been quite helpful. We've only been here a couple of months, so we're still settling in. I do wish they provided a guide for adjusting or checked in on our experience as we settle. After signing the contract and moving in, we haven't heard from anyone in the front office about our experience so far.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
Moving our loved one here was tough, but Director has been amazing to us, at the front desk, is also outstanding. The dining experience is good; the servers are wonderful, though the food is just okay. Our loved one hasn't tried the activities yet, but there are so many options available for residents to enjoy.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
My mother-in-law stayed here for 2.5 years. We liked the staff, activities, and food. But, when she got very sick, the new Nursing Director didn't understand hospice care. The Director made mistakes that caused Mom pain. They wouldn't give her comfort medicine until hospice insisted. I'm not giving one star because the company took it seriously and gave staff more training.

"Quick, caring, and flexible staff at Wingate East Side"
I want to thank the staff at Wingate on the East Side for their quick and caring response to a referral I made for a patient. They were flexible with schedules, interviews, and special requests, and they adapted well when our plans changed. I could always reach someone for questions and concerns, and they made the admissions process very easy. I especially want to mention [name], RN, and [name] for their focused attention and care.

"Convenient, Engaging Assisted Living with Room for Improvement"
Wingate is conveniently located near a bank, grocery store, and pharmacy, offering transportation to these places and doctors' appointments. Residents can stay in their rooms or apartments as they age, with flexible healthcare options. The facility includes a gym with personalized exercise plans, a swimming pool, whirlpool, and various classes. There's also a memory care unit onsite. Food is cooked individually and diverse, with a range of activities such as book clubs, poetry, music, and art programs. Outdoor spaces are attractive, situated near a river and bike path. Many residents have close family nearby, including spouses of those in the memory care unit. The atmosphere is supportive yet allowing of independence. The building is equipped with computer wiring, a computer lab, and instructors. However, repairs for computer issues can be challenging. Wingate acquired Epoch two years ago; promised updates like new carpets have been slow to materialize.

"Dad's Happy Years at Wingate Assisted Living"
Dad has really liked living at Wingate for many years. The activities are awesome, and everyone is friendly and happy. The food is alright, but maybe they could have more kinds of food. Overall, we are very happy with our experience here.

"Good Care and Nice People, But Unwelcoming Renovations"
The staff here is great overall. The renovations might be a good idea, but they feel cold and uninviting. What used to be a cozy 'country kitchen' now has granite countertops, looking like a kitchen in a new house. Most residents are in their 90s - the new owners should remember that. Otherwise, the care is good, and the people are nice. I especially like the pool table and the pool.
