"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Experience"
The staff at the facility was usually great and always nice to me during my visits. They were willing to help whenever I needed something. However, the food was not good at all considering the cost. Sometimes my loved one wouldn't eat because it was so bad. Also, it wasn't very clean at times and had a bad smell.

"Depressing Atmosphere and Renovations Mar Assisted Living Facility Tour"
Our tour wasn't great. The place felt sad and smelled like a nursing home. They were renovating too.

"Renovation inconvenience and location distance deterred our preference."
The place was getting fixed up, but it was just too far from where we wanted our family member to live.

""Poor Service and Unpleasant Kitchen at this Facility""
The staff here are really not nice at all. They've left my mom by herself a lot when she really needed help. The kitchen's pretty terrible too. I wouldn't suggest coming here.

"Inadequate Training and Care in Assisted Living Facility"
The Assisted Living facility where my mom resided specifically the "Memory Care" sector, showed signs of insufficient care. During that time, she ended up with a serious bed sore leading her to be transferred to another facility that offered skilled nursing. This place fell short because it didn't follow a bathroom schedule and she was often left for hours in a soaked diaper. I've personally seen her diaper drenched and leaking. Despite the fact that the staff were nice, they seemed to lack proper training. It was also evident they were both underpaid and overloaded with work.

"Tour Disappoints; Home Lacks Cleanliness and Comfort"
We didn't really like this place during our brief visit. The tour guide only answered some of our questions. The place was not as bright or tidy as we hoped, and it didn't give us the snug feeling we wanted for our mom.

"Pleasant Community, Nice Tour Experience"
We had a hard time choosing between this place and another one. Eventually, we picked the other one, but our visit here was really good. It's a nice place with great people. Everything looked neat and tidy. The staff was friendly and helpful. They treated my family and me kindly. Overall, it was a good experience.

"Good Community for Older Seniors"
This place is nice, but it's better suited for older seniors. My mother-in-law is okay here, but she'll be leaving soon. Not many people her age live here. Overall, it's a good community. The staff is friendly, and they keep things clean. I'd recommend it for older seniors.

"Community for Older Seniors"
This community is nice, but it seems better suited for older seniors. My mother-in-law is doing well, but she’ll be moving out soon. While there aren’t many residents her age, overall, it’s a good place. The staff is friendly, and they maintain cleanliness.

"Great Place, but Too Far Away"
The tour was pleasant and the folks were really eager to help us out and give us a tour. They answered all our questions very well. The place was tidy and nice looking. Honestly, I didn't spot a single problem with it. The only thing I wasn't fond of was the hour-long distance.

"Safe and Clean Senior Housing with Meals Provided!"
I was really impressed that they offer furnished housing for seniors who don’t have a place to stay and that they provide meals too. I would recommend it to others. It's a nice, safe, and clean place to live.

"Five Stars for Respite Care at Bloom at Bluffton"
The facility was great, but my mother has trouble hearing, so she couldn’t socialize much. However, if she ever needs respite care again, I would definitely take her back to Bloom at Bluffton.

"Unsatisfied; Slow Response Time From Staff"
They need more staff on the main floors. When you press the call button, someone should come help within ten minutes instead of making you wait 30 minutes or an hour. This place just needs better staffing. You're left waiting and waiting, leading to a bad experience for the resident.

"More Than Friendly!"
The staff here is more than friendly; they go above and beyond. They are very outgoing, and the nurses are really confident. My sister is thriving here. The building is a bit old, but I have no other complaints.

"Great Care, Communication Could Improve"
This place is pretty good overall. They've taken good care of my loved one. The staff are really nice and seem to take good care of the people who live there. The only thing I don't like is that they could be clearer about their rules. We've had trouble visiting at times they said were wrong more than once.

"It felt nice and well-cared-for."
We visited this place during our search. It felt nice, and the residents seemed well cared for. The activities calendar was good, but there weren't many outdoor seating spots.

"Clean, Friendly, and Dog-Friendly"
We visited Bloom today and were very impressed. We're checking it out early because we like to plan ahead rather than wait until we're forced to make a move. We feel like we have some time before we need to sell our home and move in, so we can be patient and wait for the right apartment. The property is very clean, the staff are super friendly, and the residents seem happy and content. Plus, we can bring our small dogs with us.I recommend anyone to start exploring these places while you're healthy and open-minded. I'll keep an eye on this site as we plan for our future.

"Mixed Experiences at Bloom at Bluffton Assisted Living"
My mom settled into Bloom at Bluffton in Feb. 2011 after a poor experience at a previous place. she, the old director, was friendly and available whenever I had questions. Then, unexpectedly, we got a note introducing a new director, he, but got no reason why she left. I didn't really meet he and rarely saw him interacting with dementia patients. On June 22, 2014, my 97-year-old mom passed away. Fortunately, Hospice was there for us. I have not heard from anyone at Bloom since then. The caregivers are lovely and we appreciate the ones who visited. The new caretakers, however, need more training.
