"Good Care, But Not for Dementia Patients"
If your family member has dementia, you should pick a place that specializes in dementia care. My only problem here was that they said they could care for our loved one with dementia. But once she moved in, she kept wandering off, and they told us we needed to move her. So I feel like they weren't honest about what they could do. But the rest of the care was good. My loved one liked the food there. We were happy with everything except their ability to keep our loved one with dementia safe.

"Perfect place for my parents!"
This place had everything I wanted for my parents. I liked that it is secure, small, and has a great layout for the one-bedroom. The courtyard is lovely, and the location is perfect. the staff and management were amazing, and if we choose this place, I’ll feel confident with them in charge. I also loved the resident greeter, Brookdale Greenwood!

"Concerns About Staff Changes Affecting Resident Experience"
My mother lives at Brookdale Brushy Creek. It's a nice place and takes good care of her. She's doing well and stays pretty independent with little help. But I've noticed the staff doesn't seem as happy as before. There have been a lot of changes in managers and staff over the past year and a few months. I'm worried because my mom isn't as interested in the daily activities anymore. The place feels less like the "family" atmosphere that drew us here. The caregivers used to make things easier for us. I hope these problems get fixed and the friendly feel comes back.

"Concerns about Brookdale Brushy Creek's Declining Staff Morale"
My mom lives at Brookdale Brushy Creek. It's a nice place and takes good care of her. She's doing well on her own with just a little help. But lately, it feels like the staff isn't as happy. Lots of new faces in charge and working here. I worry because my mom isn't as interested in the fun stuff anymore. It used to feel like a big family here, but not so much lately. The people who used to help us through tough times aren't around anymore. I hope they fix this soon so it feels like home again.

"A Second Home for Mom"
My mom's at Brookdale Brushy Creek. At first, she resisted going there, but now she loves it. She enjoys the activities and socializing. I'm also happy. It's a smaller place, which makes it feel more personal. The staff knows each resident's needs well. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for assisted living.

"Wonderful Tour"
We took a great tour of this community. It's in a lovely spot, and everything went smoothly. The staff was friendly and helpful, and our questions got answered. The community was neat and clean. Overall, it was a positive experience, although we did find another place better suited to my grandmother's needs.

""Salesman Ditched Tour, Possibly Lied""
I had scheduled a time for a tour of the facility. The salesman confirmed our appointment on the morning of the meeting. But when I arrived, he wasn't there and there weren't any management members around, only the staff. That really disappointed us and then he called later that day claiming he fell ill and had to leave. There should have been a backup plan for showing us around instead of just ditching us. I had a feeling he wasn't telling the truth.

"Impressed with Brookdale, happy with Greenville!"
I was very impressed with Brookdale at Brushy Creek. It was clean, friendly, and had a relaxing atmosphere. I appreciated everything they offered, and Andy did a great job showing us around! I was disappointed that my husband couldn’t stay there because he needed skilled nursing care. I’m glad there’s a Brookdale in Greenville because that’s where he was admitted on 1-15-16! So far, everything seems to be going well, and I feel comfortable with it!

"Unfriendly Atmosphere and Delayed Manager Turned Us Off"
We had to wait longer than our scheduled time for the manager and eventually left. Not a single person, including visitors, seemed happy. Speaking with some of the residents gave us a negative vibe. Our Mom didn't want us to return.

"Mixed experience; good food, lapses in care."
I felt let down by the care my mom received. Staff was mostly nice, but caregivers had lapses, like with laundry. Mom enjoyed the food and seating.

"Decent Place but Didn't Suit My Mom's Needs"
The first place we visited was pretty decent. The building looked great, but they had many levels of care which confused us. We were looking for something more focused on assisted living. The employees were friendly and the cost was reasonable. But, it just didn't suit my mom's needs right.

"Liked it very much"
Our loved one stayed here for a long time, and we really enjoyed it. The full-time nurse was amazing. The place was nice, and the care they provided was very good. Unfortunately, the price kept going up, and it became too expensive. Although we were happy with the service, the new location we chose had even better care, which made this place seem less impressive.

"Everything is Really Good!"
I think everything they’re doing is really good. They have lots of activities like bingo, music performances, and visits from ministries. They also have sewing activities where they make quilts and stuff. The meals are very good and well balanced.

"Disappointing Visit and Overpriced Services"
My experience was pretty disappointing. As soon as my family and I walked in, things didn't feel right. The place had an odd smell and was way more expensive than other places we checked out for my mother-in-law. The rent for the tiny one-bedroom studio was about $2,000. And that price would get even higher with the addition of extra services we would need.

"Concerns Raised Over Assisted Living Facility's Apparent Understaffing"
I tried to call the Director before visiting to ask some questions. The person to get my call was a nurse, who informed me that the Director wasn't available. She did offer to help me with my queries but only if she wasn't dealing with an emergency at that moment. I found it unnerving that a busy nurse was the only one left to take calls. It seemed as if they were understaffed. Perhaps, this isn't the best place to consider.
