"Improvements Made, But Still Not for High-Level Care"
This place isn't good if you need a lot of care. They hired a new person in December who's made some changes and keeps people responsible. They're fully staffed now, which helps. They're also updating with new paint, carpet, and furniture in the common areas. The food is just okay. I'm not sure I would recommend it. They seem to be trying harder, but maybe we're expecting too much.

"Inconsistent Staff at Facility Makes Visits Challenging"
I still go to the place twice every day. But because lots of workers keep leaving, things aren't consistent. I've noticed that the Memory Care Unit is similar in most places. It's tough to maintain a stable staff.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Facility"
It’s been really tough. Last year, my mom went to live at Maple Brook, but she’s been having a lot of falls and heart issues. We decided not to be involved in each other’s lives anymore. But when money problems popped up, I hit a wall because I’m not in charge of her money or any of her choices. I only rated it three stars because someone was kind enough to help my mom with her paperwork at Brushy Creek. But the person greeting us at the door? They shouldn’t be there. That same kind person kept the rating from dropping, until they told me it was up to me to help my mom settle in. My mom keeps calling me for help with her TV or to trim her nails… It looks like they have activities to keep residents busy, like exercise and church services. Plus, it’s one of the more affordable places around here.

"Caring and Friendly Assisted Living for Loved Ones"
They really care about the residents like family, which is great. I'm thankful I found this place for my Mom! The staff is super nice and really know everyone well. The activities they offer are unique and so important! The Oaks is decorated so nicely, I showed friends pictures and they all want to move in!

"First Meeting Impressed!"
I'd recommend meeting with the representative, touring the property and rooms, and then deciding. My initial meeting left a good impression.

"Decent community but families need to advocate for residents' needs"
We chose this place because it's clean, people are nice, and there are fun things to do. Overall, it's alright. I'd say it's worth considering. I believe families need to speak up for their loved ones to ensure everything that needs doing gets done.

"Memory Care Unit Needs Improvement, Otherwise Good Assisted Living"
Assisted Living might be pretty nice. The rooms are big, which is great. But, the Memory Care Unit isn't so great. There's nothing to do at all. I think they really need to make the memory care unit better. But, I still visit twice every day.

"Happy with The Legacy, Recommend to Others"
We are happy with my dad being at The Legacy at Southpointe Drive. Some of the staff are better than others, but overall it is very good. Based on our experience, we would recommend them to other families.

"Disappointing service and care, though clean with good activities."
At first, The Legacy took care of my mom well and gave lots of helpful information. However, after just two weeks, my mom started complaining about how she wasn't receiving help when she needed it. As for the facility, it was pretty clean, but we had to ask multiple times for staff to vacuum her room and fix broken things. I initially had good feelings about the staff, until I learned that they weren't doing their jobs properly. They didn't seem trained or dedicated to taking care of the residents, which was disappointing. One night, they left my mother on the bathroom all by herself, and nobody came to check on her or answered her call button, which they promised they would. After that incident, I decided to remove my mother from their care. The meals were decent during the weekdays but not so good during the weekends. When the management was present, the dining experience was fantastic. The Legacy also had many activities, and the activities coordinator did an amazing job. As for the price, it was fair, but only if they could provide adequate staffing and care that they promise the residents.

"Poor Experience with Assisted Living Facility"
Out of everyone, only the nursing director was helpful. Unfortunately, everything else was quite terrible.

"Assisted Living Review: More Like Dorm Than Home"
The downstairs seemed pretty good. But, the rooms were small. Also, the closet doors were broken in the room that would have been for my loved one. It felt more like a dormitory than a real home.
