"Areas for Improvement at Cypress Square Are Fixable"

We really appreciate the family-like atmosphere at Cypress Square. Our experience has been positive overall, and we'd recommend this community to others. The areas for improvement are definitely fixable.

"Mixed Feelings About Cypress Assisted Living"

I’m really pleased with how they take care of my mom at Cypress. The activities director is fantastic! But the place itself is quite dirty—the common areas and carpets need a good cleaning, and there’s a general lack of care.

"A Solid Choice for Assisted Living"

This place is really nice. The person who helps with sales was super friendly. The cleaning staff does a good job. Overall, it's a solid option.

"Unimpressed by Cypress Place’s Dull and Gloomy Atmosphere"

I visited a few spots around town, and Cypress Place kind of reminded me of another place I saw. It didn’t really wow me. The building seemed pretty old, and it had a lot of dark colors everywhere. I saw a bunch of dark blue and grey, not much else. It felt kind of sad being there.

"Cypress Place: Poor services, unresponsive staff, needs more resident encouragement."

I certainly won't suggest anyone to choose Cypress Place. Their service quality isn't great and the administrative people don't seem to take our worries or inquiries seriously. It would be appreciated if the staff motivated and led residents to engage in activities. If the residents can manage on their own, these activities are great for them.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"

The person in charge of activities on the phone can be a bit short. I think the cost for my family member’s care is too high. They offer bingo and morning movies, but I wish they encouraged residents to move more.

"Friendly Assisted Living Community"

This place is really nice. The tour lasted about an hour, maybe a little less. The staff took time to explain the prices and what they offer. They asked about my mom's care needs and were interested in our situation. The community itself was pleasant, and the staff we met were friendly and kind. The residents we saw seemed happy.

My mom's experience in this community has been great. The staff is impressive, always encouraging her to participate in activities and events. They truly care, and I'm very satisfied with the care provided.

"Overall Pleased with this Community"

I’m happy with everything this community has done for our family. Since my mother moved here, she’s doing well. I feel she’s safe and in good hands. Everything about this place is really nice, and I’d recommend it to family and friends.

"High-Quality Care and Activities at This Great Community"

My loved one is doing pretty well since moving here. She's still getting used to it, but I'm happy with how things are going. The staff is really good—they take great care of her and make sure her needs are met. Plus, they have fun activities and tasty meals for the residents. I'd definitely suggest this place to my family and friends.

"Misleading Management, Awful Food, Poor Treatment"

Mostly, this place houses individuals with dementia and sadly, I've observed some staff treating them poorly. They isolate the non-dementia patients in a pathetic "garden" area, denying them the freedom to relax on the comfy rocking chairs outside. The food offered is disgusting - prepacked junk that's hazardous to residents' health. Don't even get me started on the new Executive Director at Cypress; he's mostly absent without a trace. The ladies manning the facility are agreeable enough, but their efforts are overshadowed by the deplorable management team. They blatantly lie to get your attention and once they've got it, they go back on every assurance given. If you genuinely care for your family member, avoid this unsanitary "facility" where they'll be imprisoned.

"Sad-Looking Home, Despite Caring Staff!"

The workers looked like they were prepared to give good care, but the building felt sad. I wouldn't want my family members to stay there.

"Clean and cozy, but too far away for convenience."

The place is super clean and really nice. What I like most is that it's small, so it's easy to get around in. I think it would be less confusing for my grandma, who's 90, to get used to. The downside is it's way too far from where we live. Still, it's staying on my list.

"Satisfied Resident Shares Positive Take on Assisted Living Home"

I'm pretty content living here and I don't plan on moving. They keep the place neat and it's never too packed. Everyone gets along and they treat me right.

"Enjoyable Living at Sunnyvale Assisted Living, CA"

I really enjoy living here. I like the folks here, they're nice. I'm glad I don't have to mow the lawn or take out the garbage. Now I have extra time for myself. The food is pretty good too.

"Attentive Staff and Improvement at Maplewood Assisted Living, Tucson, AZ"

This place has people who actually listen to me. I've gotten better since I came here. Some of the folks here get mixed up, but I just let them be.

"Good place, friendly staff, needs some improvements"

Cypress Place is a good-looking place with friendly staff members, but I wish they'd make some changes. Firstly, they should really motivate their residents more to join in activities and meals. If my family member decides she wants to stay in bed all day, they allow her. I also wish they'd alter the menu some. Although they serve large portions, the meals are too elaborate for the residents' taste. It seems they'd prefer simpler dishes.
