"Caring Staff and Good Food Make Dad Happy at Assisted Living"
They've been really good overall. The staff really care about the residents, and they go above and beyond. The place itself is nice. And my dad enjoys the food.

"Assisted Living Needs Brightening Up"
We thought the place was gloomy. Maybe the cloudy day made it worse. My relative wanted a big fridge, but they didn't have one.

"Not Ideal Fit"
We took a virtual tour of the community. It was just okay, but not quite right for my loved one.

"Aged Atmosphere, Good Care"
The place looked a little old. But, people living there seemed taken care of.

"A Good Place with Minor Flaws"
My experience with Elmcroft started back in February, about nine months ago. There have been good times and not-so-good times, but overall, the good times outweigh the bad ones. It's tough for anyone to give up their freedom and their home. Elmcroft has been good in that respect. There are daily activities of all kinds and trips to different places on certain days. The food service could be better, but making three meals a day with choices must be hard to do perfectly every time. Sometimes, I feel the costs are too high for what you get. But when I think about the stress and daily pressure a caregiver deals with, it's worth every penny!

"Denied Visit to Aware Father-In-Law, Very Disappointed"
I'm really upset that I was denied the chance to see my father-in-law. They attempted to convince me that he didn't recognize me and couldn't express that he wanted to see me. These assertions were completely false because he was completely aware of his surroundings and clearly called out my name before they forced me out. I'm thoroughly disappointed.

"Understaffing, Negligence, and Poor Hygiene At Nursing Home"
Just like the previous reviewer, my mom's experience has been awful. The place cannot handle individuals affected by Alzheimer's. The cleanliness is far from satisfactory - even simple tasks like cleaning dentures are not done. Supplies we provide are not utilized, and the restroom is always bare - it doesn't even have basic amenities for the staff to wash their hands. Furthermore, after using the restroom, my mom has been left in dirty diapers. Items in her room often go missing or get damaged. Residents are often wandering around unsupervised and even end up in other people’s rooms. Individuals are left alone in the common area, while the staff tends to hang out in the kitchen or elsewhere. This shows lack of care, as if they are merely watching the clock and waiting for their shift to end. Unfortunately, my mom has lost a considerable amount of weight during her stay here. The staff doesn’t feed her the requested meals nor do they provide enough fluids, leaving her constantly dehydrated. There are a few workers who genuinely care, but they are the exception, not the norm. The facility is poorly staffed, especially during the nighttime and on weekends. It's a true disaster.
