"Staff Longevity Important; Inquire About Daily Activities and Certifications"
Make sure to ask the staff how long they've been working there. Do your research beforehand. Find out what exactly they do every day in memory care, like their certifications and such.

"Mixed Experience at Pine Grove Senior Living"
Some of the staff are nice and caring, but others are always on their cell phones. The management talks a good game, but our problems persist even after three months. Based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend Pine Grove Senior Living.

"Challenging Cleanliness and Care at Assisted Living Facility"
Usually, there's a smell in the hall and in our family member's room. We've had issues with lost medicine, which made us buy more. Some staff members don't seem to care and won't assist our family member who can't see well, they just tell them to hold onto the rail. The care has improved a bit, but keeping things clean is still tough.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living: Friendly Care but Price Increase"
We moved in and suddenly the rate went up $550! No warning! We had to clean my mother-in-law's room ourselves; the place doesn't do it regularly. Caregivers are nice, but office staff, not so much. The care my mother-in-law gets is okay, but she's lost weight and dislikes the food. More outside activities would be nice, especially considering the steep rent increase.

"Comfortable Assisted Living with Good Communication and Meals"
Pine Grove is a nice place. My family member is still getting used to it there. The staff talks to us well. They serve three meals every day, and they give out snacks too.

"Mixed Experience at Nice Assisted Living Facility"
This place is pretty nice overall, but they don't have enough staff. The Memory Care area is safe though. Just like lots of places like this, they don't have enough people working here. They mix up the laundry all the time. They should have one person just for that job. The staff in the Memory Care section are really nice and helpful. They do their best, but they need more help. It's a good deal compared to other places around here.

"Disorganized and Slow Follow-Up at Assisted Living Facility"
Our family visited this place, but we didn't like it much. Everything seemed messy and confused when we got there. The part for memory care was especially chaotic and not well put together. And they took a long time, weeks even, to get back to us about our questions.

"Pine Grove Senior Living Disappoints"
We're not happy with Pine Grove Senior Living. The food isn't tasty, the staff seems lazy, and sometimes it's not very clean. The medical team has messed up my mom's medications multiple times. They forgot to give her an important medicine for a whole month! Staff members often vanish without supervision.

"Consider carefully before entrusting your loved one to this facility"
My mom stayed for a year and a half at this place. There are good-hearted folks who genuinely care for the residents, but they can't cover up the icy indifference of the higher-ups and the company owners. Their relentless pursuit of high profit continually reduces expenses, making the food hard to swallow and activities nearly impossible to find. As another review noted, numerous staff have resigned or got sacked lately, and a LOT of residents have chosen to leave. I hope new management filled with compassionate people can step in and breathe new life into this facility. Yet, having tried to talk to the executives in the corporation and regional directors, there still seems to be a lack of concern for what was going on and a disregard to what I had to say. .

"Avoid This Facility Until Management Gets Their Act Together"
My grandma has been living in this facility for nearly a year, and it's honestly been like living a nightmare for us. The people in charge are cold and not held responsible for anything they do wrong. They genuinely don't seem to care about the residents. As for the daily staff, well, what can you expect from people making $9 an hour with no training available. One kind-hearted resident even set up a Family Group to voice our worries and concerns to management. You'd think they'd appreciate that, right? Nope. But I guess we shouldn't be surprised because they're already against themselves. All that was wanted was to make improvements. Presently, I've been hearing of folks leaving this place tons because they're not allowing family members to sit and share a meal at their table with their loved ones. Don't bother with this place. It's only worth it if the management gets their act together and does what they promise.

"Great Facility, Unsure If Right for Mom"
Greenville Place was really great and it's clear they really know what folks living there need. The place and the activities they have are super nice. I'm not totally sure if it's the best fit for my mom, but it's got a lot to offer for people looking for Assisted Living.

"Helpful Staff"
Since my husband moved in, we've encountered a few minor issues. However, the staff has been incredibly helpful in addressing them. His private room in the assisted living area is quite pleasant, and there's a charming courtyard just outside his door where we can sit and visit. The community offers numerous amenities for residents who want to participate. As my husband continues to adjust, we're taking things one step at a time.

"Helpful but Not Quite Right"
Assisted Living wasn't what my husband needed, so he's going to a skilled nursing community instead. They were helpful when I needed a place for him. I stayed there for a few hours, and it was clean. Sometimes, the staff didn't come right away when we used the call button, but they tried their best.

"Friendly Tour of a Nice Assisted Living Community"
This community is pretty nice, and our tour was good. We visited for my grandmother to see if it met her needs. The experience went smoothly. Everyone treated my family and me kindly. The community seemed well-maintained from what we observed. The staff we encountered was polite and helpful. Ultimately, we found another community that suited our needs better, but we had a pleasant tour of this one.

"Pros of Affordable Facility Dimmed by Negatives"
Staff changes at the facility seemed to happen non-stop, which was worrying. It felt like the residents' needs were sometimes overlooked because the facility's personnel were always so swamped. The basic cleanliness care that we expected for our family member didn't seem up to par. They also didn't have strict sign-in methods. I found it super hard to reach the staff by phone so I had to visit the place to get answers for simple queries that a quick call could've resolved. The assisted living center did have some redeeming qualities, for sure, like the fair price, but I thought the downsides overshadowed those good parts. The meals they served were decent, but if a resident didn't eat, the busy staff did little about it.

"Mixed Feelings on Greenville Place: Clean Facility, Odd Food Choices"
We're pretty happy with how things are going at Greenville Place for my family member. The place is always super clean, and the people who work there really make sure my loved one is taken care of. The only thing that's not so great is the food. Sometimes they serve up some pretty weird options.

"Budget Facility Disappoints with Poor Service & Communication"
My dad was assessed before moving in, but the Director seemed completely caught off guard with his dementia level once my folks settled into the assisted living facility. The caretakers mostly just sit and chitchat. The scheduled activities don't always happen. The staff members burst into rooms without bothering to knock or ask for permission. Despite my mom's sound mind, her concerns for my dad were mostly overlooked and she was treated as if she didn't exist. The food service was quite poor. They had to move out only six weeks after they'd arrived. If you're fine with a low-cost facility like this, go ahead. Just remember, you're getting exactly what you paid for.

"Nice office staff, poor care and food."
My loved one got a pancake, a piece of bacon, and a tablespoon of eggs for breakfast. They also serve cold meals and have given three noodle meals in one week. I would tell others to look somewhere else for their loved ones. The staff doesn’t pay enough attention to the residents. We’ve been waiting for maintenance to fix the cable in my loved one’s room, and I’ve had to fix things myself to get them done faster. The front office staff is really nice to the family. Billing is always wrong, but they say they will fix it. It takes forever for the staff to help when residents push the call button.

"Not Worth the Hype! Disappointing Service!"
After only a month, we moved my parents from this assisted living facility. Considering what we paid, the service was too slow. They treated my mother like she was just another person to take care of and ordered her around. The place seems great when they’re promoting it, but the reality is quite different. They claimed to offer activities like coloring, but all they did was leave a few colored pencils and pages from a coloring book on a table. No one stuck around, and there was no encouragement to participate.

I’ve been really happy with the changes at Greenville Place. I looked at many places in Greenville for my mom and picked Greenville Place because it’s close to my house. At first, I wasn’t sure, but the old leaders are gone, and the new team is friendly, easy to talk to, and knows what they’re doing. I’ve liked seeing the improvements over the past few months. My mom is very happy and enjoys hanging out with her friends during meals and activities. I’m glad I chose Greenville Place.

"Pleasantly Surprising Changes"
Wow, the new staff is making a big difference! This small community notices even the smallest changes right away. I’m happy to see better care and excited about upcoming renovations. I read old reviews and was surprised by comments about previous staff, but that was before my time. The residents are friendly and love getting involved in activities. It’s great to know they’re addressing and fixing past complaints.

"Steer clear from Greenville Place!! HORRIFIC, UNTRAINED STAFF!!"
Stay away from this assisted-living home! We have to go to Greenville Place every week just to make sure my grandmother is getting what she paid for: her food and medicine. The workers there are not suited to look after old people and they simply don’t care. When I've been to visit grandma, I've seen, more than once, the call lights of other residents ringing for a half hour or more without any of the workers doing anything. They just hang out chatting with each other, take personal calls or smoke cigarettes on the porches. Do not be tricked into thinking this is a good place because of their pretty photos. The boss of this home is super lazy and does not take care any of the complaints. The rooms are really small and dirty; they sometimes go weeks without being cleaned. We simply wanted a nice, safe place with caring workers for my grandma to have a peaceful last few years. This home has only given us stress and trouble and should probably be shut down. PLEASE do not make the mistake of sending your loved ones to the Greenville Place. There are better choices around. The staff is simply TERRIBLE AND UNQUALIFIED.

"Not Quite the Right Fit"
Certainly! Here's the revised review in 8th-grade level American English: "I visited this community recently for my loved one. Everything went smoothly during our tour. The staff arrived on time for our appointment and answered my questions thoroughly. They offered a great activity program and dining experience for the residents. However, it ultimately wasn't the right fit for us." And here's the summary headline: .

"More Cleaning Needed, Otherwise Good; Care Confusion Addressed"
I think I would prefer that they clean her room more often, especially the bathroom, maybe 2 or 3 times a week. Apart from that, it looks very clean and the staff are friendly. As for the care, it's something we need to clarify. We're paying for extra assistance with medication, showering, and dressing, but if my mother-in-law insists she can manage without help, I wonder if we're being charged for services she doesn't use. She's still adjusting to being there; it's not about the place, she wouldn't be happy anywhere. They encourage her to join activities, but she tells us she doesn't participate, although my husband has seen her socializing quietly, which is good considering her mental state. Another positive is they have a memory care section, which might be necessary for her in the future. It's reassuring to know it's available if needed.
