"Assisted Living Facility Struggles with Decline in Care Quality"
The Oaks got bought by a big company a year and a half ago. Before, it was better. But now, my mom's been there a year, and it's not good. They don't clean, things break, and my mom hasn't had a shower for 23 days. The workers are tired and have too much to do. They tell us. They need more help! I'm upset the big company hasn't done more to fix things. Maybe if they paid the workers better, they'd stay and do a better job. They let new people move in but don't hire more workers. The emergency button didn't work for two days! They gave them whistles instead. My mom had to wait in pee for 32 minutes! One person even got outside and wasn't found till the next day by a ditch. Luckily, she was okay. All this happened just in the past month!

"Facility lacks memory unit, needs renovation; inexperienced tour guide."
My mom may need a memory unit soon, but The Oaks at Salem Road doesn't have one. Also, the place looks like it hasn't been renovated in ages. When I went for a tour, the person showing me around seemed new and not very good at it.

"Clean and Pleasant Assisted Living with Supportive Staff"
We were impressed by how clean the community is and its layout - it's really nice. All the staff have been great to work with. The only reason we gave 4 out of 5 for care services is because sometimes our loved one doesn't want to cooperate with bathing. Still, we would recommend this community to other families.

"Friendly, Caring Staff at Morningside of Beaufort, Room for Improvement"
At Morningside of Beaufort, I believe they do well overall. The staff is friendly and caring, and they watch out for residents. My only issue is they might need more staff; the current ones work hard, but a few more would really make a difference.

"Friendly Staff and Adequate Parking; Food Okay; Pricey but Expected"
This place costs a lot, but I think they all do. The people who work here are really nice – that’s what impressed me and my family the most. We tried the food and it was fine. There’s plenty of parking available.
