"“Friendly Staff and Bright Atmosphere”"

The staff made moving in easy, but the room could be cleaner. Receptionist was kind and helpful. The bright, open atmosphere is a plus. I recommend this facility.

"Avoid This Facility: It's Misleading and Downright Awful"

My cousin only stayed for two months at this terrible place. It felt like a bad dream. They tricked me. Don't ever put someone you care about in there. I can't stop thinking about how awful it must be for those who cannot leave.

"Nice Staff, But Medication Issues Need Attention"

The folks here are really friendly, but there’s a problem with how they talk to us. Sometimes, when we bring medicine that’s not in those special packs, the people living here don’t get their medicine all the time, even if it’s super important for their health.

"Staff Cares Deeply, Personalized Attention for Residents"

The assisted living facility has been a wonderful experience. The staff is amazing and genuinely cares about my mom. They really know her and have a fantastic one-on-one relationship with her.

"Poor Care and Lack of Compassion at Assisted Living Facility"

Our doctor and A Place for Mom recommended this place highly. But, the reality was different. They didn't take care of my dad properly. He wasn't kept tidy and they even junked his clothes when they failed to clean him on time. The staff didn't show much care or kindness. I had seen other homes where the people were treated with a lot more love and efficiency. Clearly, this place fell short of my expectations.

"Worst Experience at an Assisted Living Facility With Lax Care and Broken Promises"

My experience at this assisted living facility was really poor. My relative didn't even stay there for two months. Issues started popping up from the very first day. She was not given a key to her door for the first week. She didn't have a shower until she was there four days into her stay; it was me who had to help her do it. Although an aide mentioned she would do it that day, she later revealed my relative hadn't been scheduled yet. They promised physical therapy sessions to improve her balance and reduce her falls, but that never happened. They also promised to provide a walker suitable for her requirements but failed to do so. During the first week, she didn't receive a remote for her cable box. This was increasingly frustrating as watching TV was her favorite pastime. She was often left alone in her room without any entertainment or engaging activities. They sometimes transferred her to the dining room in a wheelchair, but most of the time she was confined to her room with meals sent to her. There was an event where I discovered another patient consuming her meal. There was also an instance where another new patient was asleep in her room and the aides had no clue who she was or where she belonged. The main reason we chose this place was because she was struggling with falls at home and I couldn't be there all the time. Unfortunately, she fell from her wheelchair multiple times here and was found crawling down the hallway asking for me. Despite this, they only called me once. She wasn't given an alerting device to call the nurses until her fourth week of stay there. Even when it was finally provided, it was not helpful as it either didn't work, or they didn't respond as I pressed it multiple times with no one ever turning up. I would often find her sitting in mucky messes and wet diapers. Whenever I questioned these issues, all I received were empty assurances or excuses. They boasted about their chef-cooked meals; however, the dishes sent to her room looked completely unappetizing. Out of concern, family members and I had to bring meals for her almost every day. Caregivers were often occupied with their cell phones or game, indifferently ignoring their duties. Their unprofessional behavior also included using inappropriate language in the hallway and gossiping about office staff and procedures. This facility has the potential to be great with appropriate guidance, education, and staff. Currently, it doesn’t come across as an adequate daycare, let alone an assisted living facility. I hope they improve for the sake of those who can't express their sufferings.

"Mixed Review of TerraBella Assisted Living"

The community's cleanliness deserves top marks. The staff are very friendly with residents, but less so with our family, which we rate 4 stars. We define friendly as more than just answering questions. When we needed to advocate for our loved one's needs, proactive action was lacking. Issues were only addressed when they arose. We attributed this to understaffing or too many residents. Meals and dining receive 5 stars; they're restaurant-worthy! Activities get 4 stars; quality entertainment from the outside community is welcomed, including music, preaching, therapy dogs, and festive holiday celebrations. Legacy occupational therapy organizes engaging events like a '50s party with food, games, and dancing, which involved both Legacy and TerraBella staff. However, the activities director couldn't fulfill their role due to understaffing, misleading us about the actual activities offered despite a detailed calendar. Legacy therapists provide daily one-on-one attention, especially for Medicare-covered services. Overall, we rate the facility 4 stars. We wish for a dedicated activities director and more proactive care for our loved one. Despite challenges, TerraBella exceeds our previous experience elsewhere, though we hoped for quicker responses given the nature of dementia care.

"“Pleasant Tour Experience!”"

"Headline: "Terrabella: Unhygienic Conditions, Poor Treatment, Inconsiderate Staff""

Terrabella was just terrible. We chose it due to its high praises and someone suggested it, but that must have been when their old management was still in power. One day, I dropped by to find my family member really ill and having a coughing fit so severe breathing seemed impossible. The poor guy had tumbled several times, his skin was damaged, and there was a nasty bed wound. Over his short stay, he only bathed twice. A chunk of his clothes we brought went missing and his room wasn't tidy. We moved him out of there, and rather than asking about his wellbeing, all they wanted to know was when they could empty his room. I'd advise nobody to use this place.

"Solid Choice for Assisted Living"

We picked Pendleton Manor because of the price. When we visited and toured the place, I was pleased with what I saw. The staff were always available when needed, and they were helpful to me too. The rooms here were of average size. The food was really good; I ate here multiple times. A chef prepared the meals. I would suggest this facility to others.

"Nice facility, but not right for my mom's needs."

I visited this place and it was pretty good. Everything seemed nice. The people working there were really nice and friendly. Overall, it was a good experience. There were a lot of things to think about when choosing where to move my mom. This community is nice, but it wasn't the right one for us.
