"Loved One Thrives at Quillen Manor Assisted Living"
Our family member has been at Quillen Manor Assisted Living for about a month. She seems to really like the activities they offer. They have bingo and a hair and nail salon for the residents.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The people were nice. My family member enjoyed the food and activities. The cost was fair. We chose it because it was affordable. But when my family member needed rehab and couldn't return immediately, they didn't offer another chance. They didn't have enough staff.

"Terrible Odor and No Staff-Resident Interaction"
The place reeked and it seemed like the elders and workers didn't talk at all.

"Unreliable, understaffed facility with poor food quality."
The staff at this senior living place don't do check-ins often on the people living there or keep their clothes and personal items organized. Most of the time, there aren't enough workers to give everybody the care they need, which is the whole point of it being assisted living. They've even lost some items belonging to my family member. The food is the worst I've ever seen. I wouldn't tell anyone to send their loved one here. I can't wait to move my family member somewhere else because I'm worried about their safety and health.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The folks there are nice, but staff could do better. Apartments are roomy, but the cafeteria floor needs cleaning. Nurse's cart smells like urine.

"Understaffing Challenges Impact Assisted Living"
My mom is doing fine, and the staff seems caring. The food quality varies. The main problem is understaffing, which everyone faces.

"Trouble and Poor Management at Quillen Manor"
Quillen Manor seems to have big issues with their bosses and talking to each other. Just yesterday, the big wig, and the health boss, showed up telling my mom she needed to leave – as if they were kicking her out. “We can force you to leave in a day,” one said, even though my mom had just paid rent. While one was kind of nice, the other was very mean, even blaming my mom for "taking over" my grandma's apartment. Even worse, they told her she had to leave soon because someone else had plans to move in. Now, that seems like a lie. This started when our house burned down in December. Shortly after, my grandma got cancer. My mom quit her job to take care of her in her last months. My grandma passed away in late February. Since my mom had nowhere else to live, she talked to the temp director, [name removed], who said she could stay "as long as" she paid rent. That was her plan, to move out at the end of March. But as we all know, there is a global health crisis right now that shut down most businesses, making moving harder. My mom paid Quillen Manor for April's rent and they cashed the check. Even when they gave lunches to every apartment (and cashed the rent checks), [names removed] claimed they "didn't know" my mom was still there. When she asked how that was possible, they said it was her "job" to tell them. How strange! After a few hours and some calls to the higher-ups, they said it was all a "huge screw-up." To sum up, it seems Quillen Manor has a never-ending game of musical chairs going on with their higher-ups which is messing up their communication big time, making big mistakes, and causing some staff to be downright mean. I wouldn't suggest this place.

"Care Center Good Location But Lacks Professionalism and Flexibility"
We liked where this care center was located, but we found some parts disappointing. The cost was fair, but we were worried that they let some folks smoke outside sometimes. We were also worried because it seemed like folks could be asked to leave for reasons we didn't really understand. The shared room for my mom was tiny but workable. But I didn't like how our guide and a care worker talked about the person my mom would be rooming with right outside the door. That felt wrong. We were also asked to think about what we'd do for my mom if they didn't take her in after we moved her down here. That upset me because finding a place for her is why we were there! Our guide talked a lot about the building and what parts needed fixing, but we are more worried about whether my mom will be happy and healthy.

"Very Nice Place to Check Out"
I toured this place while looking for care options for a loved one. The facility was clean and well-kept, and all the staff I met were friendly and professional. It's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for senior living in the area.
