"Assisted Living Shows Improvement; Recommend with New Chef"

When started working there, things changed a lot. But now, things are getting better. I feel good about how they take care of him. He's getting used to it. And the new maintenance guy is really great. I think it's a good place. Plus, they have a new chef.

"Room Shortage"

We visited TerraBella James Island while looking for an Assisted Living place for our family member. We liked it a lot! The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere felt positive. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the right room for us, so we kept searching.

"Poor service and cleanliness issues."

The service wasn't good. Dad's room messy, staff slacking off.

"Looks Good, But Service Could Improve"

The dinner here is just sandwiches, which isn’t really enough. They’re not the best for keeping you healthy and full. There aren’t many fun things to do here either. The building looks nice though – it’s pretty new and shiny on both the outside and inside. But they don’t have enough people working here, so you don’t get help right away. They should tell families more clearly about the kind of care they’ll give, instead of just saying they’ve checked out the resident and will take care of everything. If I were you, I’d make sure to ask the bosses to explain exactly what services they’re going to provide for the care they say you need.

"Nice Place, Not a Match for Dad’s Social Needs"

When we brought my dad here in November, the place was going through a lot of changes. New people were working at almost every position like the director and nurse. They were all pretty new, so they didn’t know everything yet, but that’s not on them. The other folks living there needed more help than my dad, so he didn’t really have anyone to hang out with. That’s why we decided to move him somewhere else. But I’ve got to say, the place itself was really nice, and it felt like a good deal for what we paid. Everyone working there was super nice and did their best to help out. I’d tell other people to check it out for sure. It just wasn’t the perfect spot for what my dad needed.

"Limited Options for Independent Living Needs at Savannah Place"

Savannah Place is quite small because it only has one floor. It's better suited for people who need more help rather than those who can live independently, which is what we were looking for.

"Nice Tour Despite Age"

We toured the community, and even though it’s a bit older, it was still a really nice experience.

"Caring Community with Room to Improve"

I've asked multiple times for the staff to take my loved one for a manicure. They don't have a memory care unit, which means there's no stigma attached. It's a smaller community and close to our family. The staff seems to really care for my loved one. Communication with the head nurse could be improved. It's not a fancy place, but it meets my loved one's current needs.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

This place is alright. The food can be lacking, sometimes not enough. At times, it's just a salad or half a sandwich for dinner, and this happens more than once. Some staff don't treat my loved one respectfully. They aren't always prompt to help, and the waiting time is bad.

"Safe and Happy Environment"

My mom, has lived at Savannah Place for 2 years. She adores the friendly staff, delicious food, and her cozy room. As someone with dementia, she feels secure and well-cared-for.

"Mixed Feelings About Savannah Place"

My mom stayed at Savannah Place for a few months before she passed away. I think she got good care there, and I'd recommend it to others looking for an assisted living place. The staff showed love for my mom, but when she died, I only got verbal condolences. Hospice sent a sympathy card, but they were only there for one day. It made me wonder if Savannah Place truly cared.

"Dirty, low quality assisted living center with uncaring staff"

This is without a doubt the absolute worst place you could ever consider for a family member. The place is filthy, teeming with mold, and the food served is inedible– I wouldn't even think to give it to my pet dog. Some of the staff members are fine, but those directly tasked with caring for the elderly are awful and it's pretty clear they're just there to collect a paycheck. We only left my mom there for six weeks before we had to move her out and I snapped some pictures that I can't wait to show to the state or county officials who regulate these facilities. Consider yourself advised.

"Affordable Assisted Living with Caring Staff"

This cozy facility has kind, helpful staff. It's suitable for my mom's mobility and sight challenges. Although it's pricier, they're willing to work with us.

"Mom Thrives in Friendly, Supportive Assisted Living Community"

Things moved quickly with finding a spot here. My mom is really happy. This is the first time we've used a companion, and it's been the best decision we've made. We chose this place for financial reasons, but they get along well and take care of each other. Everyone feels like family. It took her a week to get used to the meals, but she's doing much better now. She’s starting to interact with other residents and join in activities. We're really pleased with this community.

"Warm and Welcoming Assisted Living Facility"

This place feels like home. The staff is friendly and helpful. Mom is happy and settled. It's neat and offers fun activities. Mom loves Uno nights! The food isn't always her favorite, but that's common. Overall, we're pleased with our choice.

"Good Facility But Security Concerns"

My mom recently moved into this living facility and it's been an ongoing process of adjustment. Some days are better than others but for the most part, she seems content. As a family, we find the community appealing, and we are confident that she is well looked after. However, I have one major concern - the facility is not fully secure. My mom once managed to slip out the back door, leading me to either stay with her the entire time or hire a caretaker to watch her around the clock. This is my only complaint. Aside from that, the food is tasty and there's plenty of fun activities offered. Currently, I'm unsure whether I'd recommend this place, primarily due to the security issue.

"Just Not the Right Spot for My Wife!"

We took the tour, which went well. All of my questions were taken care of. Everything was alright, with a pretty good community. We simply felt it wasn't the right match for my wife.

"Welcoming Community with Friendly Staff"

Right now, I have hardly any complaints about this place. The staff is friendly, and all the residents have been very welcoming to my mom. My favorite thing is how they keep family members involved. We can join in on many activities, share meals with my mom, and take her off campus whenever we want.

"Review: Assisted Living Facility - Affordable, Convenient, No Medicaid"

The cost and location for John are fine, but they don't accept Medicaid.

"No Problems"

My dad didn't enjoy it, so he returned home. No issues with staff or facility; just homesickness.

"Friendly staff, clean facility, paperwork needs improvement"

I think Savannah Place does a pretty good job overall. The people who work here are nice and know what they're doing. The place itself is always clean and taken care of. But, I do think they could make their paperwork and how they communicate about business stuff better.

"A Good Move for Us"

I like Savannah Place. Wish I moved her there earlier. She's less stressed, making life better for both of us. Our visits are more enjoyable now.
