The staff is really nice, and the buildings are fine. I think they should update them, make them more fun and beach-like! After all, it’s Myrtle Beach!

"High Cost, Small Room at Assisted Living Facility"
Regarding the cost versus what you get, the room was really small and the price was a lot, even though it didn’t have space for more than a queen bed. The place did have a big outdoor area that looked like a park. We decided not to go with the Legacy because the room was too tiny for its big monthly price.

"Poor communication among staff, substandard food, and inadequate amenities."
The memory care service didn't live up to the promises made. Staff members seemed to lack proper communication about resident issues between shifts, leading to oversight of residents that should be monitored more closely, resulting in injuries! The food provided for those in memory care is not on par with what's provided in assisted living. Residents are given only two meal choices each night, but essentially, they eat whatever meal is assigned to their seating spot. The food lacks attractiveness, like their dish of white beans adorned with chunks of ham. Moreover, residents don't receive knives, regular dishware, or cloth napkins like those in assisted living.

They really care about everyone! They plan many activities for the residents! You assisted us with our friend [name removed]! My one worry is that the floor in his room and bathroom are never clean. They are so caring! They act very professionally! They do many activities.

"Memory Care Needs More Staff and Activities"
There should be more people to help the residents in Memory Care, and it would be better if there were more things for them to do. I had a problem with my sister, who lives there, and I called at 9:00 in the morning, but the nurse I needed to talk to wasn't available. When I called back at 4:00, I was told she had already left for the day. This nurse is supposed to be one of the important people there, and we were told to call her with any concerns. I'm really unhappy about this.

"New staff and rising rent; food quality varies over time"
The facility has new staff now. I liked the old staff better because they were really nice. At first, the food was great and my loved one was happy, but now the food is only sometimes warm. My loved one doesn’t join in the activities, but there are a lot of activities and trips available. I’m also not happy about the rent going up after just five months.

"Disappointing Visit to Dirty, Unprepared Assisted Living Facility"
The Legacy of North Myrtle Beach was really terrible. The building looked shabby and not taken care of from the outside. When we went in for our planned visit, they said they didn't know we were coming. I had to use their restroom, and there was blood on the toilet. Overall, the place was not clean at all. We didn't stick around very long.

"Staff Kindness Appreciated, Organizational Improvements Needed"
The staff at the assisted living facility has been really nice. However, sometimes they're not very organized. Occasionally, when I give them medical records, they get lost. I often have to remind them to do things like shaving my friend too.

"Great location and friendly staff at Summit Place"
We’ve been really happy with Summit Place. We picked them because of how convenient the location is. The rooms are just the right size for her needs. Everyone here has been really friendly. I’d definitely recommend them to others.
