"Assisted Living Facility Needs Cozy Touch, Pricier Than Expected"
The place cost more than we hoped. They have a special area for people with memory issues that's locked. But it didn't feel cozy or like a home.

"Not suitable for high-functioning memory loss; good for non-verbal loved ones."
This place isn't great if your loved one is still pretty sharp despite memory loss. The staff here interact a lot with residents. It might work for those who don't understand much and can't talk.

"Clean and Cozy Assisted Living Center"
The center was clean and small, so it didn’t feel too overwhelming.

"Avoid the Blake: Neglect and Poor Hygiene Devastate Residents"
If you really care about your relatives, don't send them to the Blake! My dad was never clean, his hair was always oily. He never had bed sores until he stayed in that terrible place. When we took him home, he had two bed sores. I think 'neglect' best describes this place.

"New Management at The Blake Neglects Procedures and Ignores Families"
I moved my mom to the Blake about a year ago and initially, the staff and management were great. However, everything took a nasty turn after the head office fired the director. A lot of staff members quit their jobs, but thankfully the quality of care my mom receives remains good. Today's management lacks procedures for anything. If something goes awry or a complaint needs to be lodged, there's no procedure. You have to relay your concerns to the front desk, and all they’ll say is that they'll pass the message. I bought a phone for my mom, and it worked for a few months until it suddenly stopped. I requested a repair, but not only did the phone not get fixed, but it also vanished after a couple of months. It's been half a year now; still no sign of her phone and not a word of explanation. With the ongoing virus, it's impossible for me to call her, and all my attempts to arrange a visit have been ignored. The replacement staff the main office hired clearly don’t care – they just brush off any complaints and seem not to care about the residents or their families. It's really disappointing!

"The Blake: They Care More About Money Than Elderly Care"
I thought The Blake was great when it first opened. The staff were nice and the place looked good. But after my mom moved in, things changed fast. Lots of workers left or got fired, and the big bosses started running things. They didn't care about the old people, they only cared about money. When my mom had to go for rehab, they still charged me full price, even though she wasn't even living there or eating their food. They were all about the cash, not about my mom's health. And when she had to go to the hospital, they wouldn't let her come back and wouldn't send me her medical info. My mom went to the hospital on the 25th and didn't come back, but they billed me until the 15th of the next month. It's clear they only care about money, not the elderly. I wouldn't tell anyone to send their parents here unless they have cash to burn.

"Poor Care and Service at Assisted Living Facility"
This place isn’t good for people with dementia or those needing assistance. The food is bad, there’s no service, and they don’t help with basic tasks like washing.

The food is terrible, with zero help offered. Don't send your mom or dad here.

"Mother-in-law loves new home, friendly staff, and good food"
Things have been great since my mother-in-law moved here. She loves her new home, enjoys the activities, and meeting friendly people. The staff is very helpful and nice. She also likes the food a lot. Everything is going well, and we’re really happy.
