The apartment's cool, folks are friendly, but food's not great. Waiting for meals takes forever. Picked Harmony for its spot and one meal a day for Mom.

"Discontent with Assisted Living Facility: Poor Care and Service"
Unhappy with Cleanliness, Staff, Care, and Food Quality at Assisted Living Facility: Sheets don't seem to be changed weekly as they should be. The staff seemed nice when we first arrived but now it feels like the head nurse doesn't even recognize my mom. The care here is disappointing; there have been instances where my mom needed help and was left stranded. I don't think the head nurse or aides even realize that we're paying so much money every month for a certain level of care. Furthermore, the food isn't great. Lots of people have complained about it and the amount of food being wasted proves it. On her first day, my mom went to a scheduled movie that ended up starting earlier than planned. I don't think she's tried attending anything else since. Overall, I'm shocked at how much we're paying considering the level of service we're receiving.

It took Mom 5-6 weeks to adjust due to health issues, but the staff genuinely care and try their best. Communication can be a challenge.

Initially, I'd give Harmony a 5-star rating. However, since the administration changed in November, the quality of care has declined significantly. Unfortunately, my loved one isn't receiving the necessary attention.

My family went through a dreadful experience at Harmony at West Ashley. They didn't appropriately look after my family member and even his medicine was not given correctly. It was a horrible place and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
