"Great Care at The Residences!"
I’m really happy with how they’re taking care of my mom at The Residences at Greer. Things were tough at first because of staffing and Covid, but the facility has improved a lot. I want to give a shout-out to [name removed] – she’s super professional, efficient, and attentive. She works really hard and cares about what she does. With the job market being so unpredictable, we can’t afford to lose someone like her. Keep up the good work!

"Beautiful Yet Dangerous Facility Lacks Basic Care and Security"
This place was a disappointment to say the least. They promised things they didn't have, like working safety devices and a 24/7 receptionist. There was no one keeping an eye on things, and they had no system in place for emergencies. There was either broken or no equipment for people who needed help moving around. The manager was dishonest with us. She convinced us to try out the place for a month, but nothing was as agreed. The room she showed us initially was switched out without our consent. She didn't even provide the basic stuff like bed linens. The employees here are clearly new to the job and there aren't enough of them. We only managed to stay here for four nights. One evening, we found a fellow resident in the parking lot and there was absolutely no staff around to assist. The place may look nice, but it's seriously dangerous.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My Dad stayed here for nearly 2 years. But since then, it's been like a merry-go-round with staff changes, including 3 different bosses. It feels like one problem gets solved, and then three more pop up. They promise to fix things, but nothing really changes. The place just keeps getting worse. The cleaning is barely there. The carpets and chairs look gross. When you visit, most things you see are just for show. The fireplace in the lobby has never been used, and people have to wear jackets and blankets indoors. The TVs in the lobby and bistro don't even work. The activities are all over the place. They cancel them randomly. Bingo is pretty much the only thing organized by the staff. Most activities are led by residents playing Wii or doing puzzles. They seriously need a better chef or food service. The dining room always has issues, and there's never enough staff. Don't settle for this place. It's not right for Mom or Dad.

"Unhappy with The Residences After Refusal of Return"
All was well until she had a choking incident during breakfast, which led to her needing emergency medical services. She had to spend around 10 days in the hospital and another 10 days in a rehabilitation center. Just when she was about to be discharged and return to The Residences, they reassessed her condition and deemed her too risky. This left me with only 3 days to find her a new place to live, and I had to rely on Care Patrol for help. I'm not exactly thrilled with The Residences. I was generally content until they declined to accept her back. It was a decent deal, but as a diabetic, she wasn't always served the appropriate meals.

"Improving Assisted Living Experience"
Overall, the facility isn't bad, and some staff really care about the residents. Housekeeping doesn't do a great job with dusting or laundry—items often come back wet. The staff tries their best, but there aren't enough of them for all the residents. Now, let's talk about the food. It's just okay—lots of potatoes, no fresh veggies. French fries show up almost every day, but baked potatoes? Rarely. My dad's room has heating and AC issues, and we're still waiting for a fix. If I could change two things: better food and a responsive HVAC company. They do have activities, though. And the best part? It's only 5 minutes from my home!

"Supportive Staff and Meal Improvements Await Residents"
They’ve been great to my mom. Most staff are friendly and do a good job. The admin team is supportive, addressing concerns. Meals (3/day) could improve; new chef coming.

"Better suited for ground-level facilities due to dementia concerns."
I visited The Residences at Greer. It seemed nice. We picked another place because it’s a two-story building with elevators. My brother has dementia, and I worry he might get confused.

"Disappointed with Segregation and Conditions at Greer Residences"
We visited The Residences at Greer and were disappointed to see that they completely separate the residents who need memory care from those in assisted living. We checked out the memory care section and it didn't seem pleasant at all. It's not a place where I'd want someone I care about to live.

"Unpleasant, disorganized assisted living facility with cleanliness issues"
The Residences at Greer didn't really impress me. Everything was kind of dirty, especially the carpets, which had stains. The people who worked there were okay, but their activity room was just overflowing with junk - it didn't seem like they ever used it for anything. The fact that there were hardly any residents walking around was worrying. The place being unclean was enough for me to instantly rule them out.

"Poor Service Leads to Quick Exit from Assisted Living Facility"
I had an hour-long discussion with a higher-up about our issues. This place sure looks great from the outside, and the sales guy reels you in with sweet words. We were here for about a month and a half before I had to move my family member away. Things aren't right here, the leaders are bad, and they're not doing their jobs right. I would definitely not tell other families to bring their loved ones here.

"Mixed feelings about assisted living facility"
I didn't like that my relative's door was locked. They fell one morning, broke ribs, and punctured a lung. I didn't like the care. Some staff were good, some not.

"Disastrous assisted living facility condition: Inept services, poor nutrition, and restricted visiting hours"
The meals at this assisted living facility are completely unacceptable; I would hesitate to even offer them to my pet, let alone my dear grandmother. Since her move into this place, she's noticeably lost weight, dropping from her initial weight of 120 pounds to what looks like barely 90 pounds now. My grandmother refers to her living conditions here as akin to jail, which greatly disturbs me. Unfortunately, she experiences a sense of animosity from the facility's director. To make matters worse, she doesn't receive any assistance with daily tasks such as bathing or making her bed. Getting her laundry done has also been a significant challenge. While the nursing personnel are competent, the turnover seems quite high. Moreover, the facility's lack of visiting hours in the evening is tremendously frustrating. Attempting to gain entry after-hours is nearly impossible, and quite often, I find myself having to force the doors open just to get inside the facility. Looking forward to the day we can finally move her out of this place.

"Shoddy Management, Bad Food, and Negligence at Assisted Living Facility"
This assisted living facility has major issues in a number of areas. First off, their chef is frequently absent, leaving the responsibility of meal preparation to the nurses and aids, which doesn't work well at all. My mom is always complaining about how terrible the food is, and how she's had to call me multiple times a day to vent her frustrations. Also, you need to get to the dining room at a specific time, then sit around waiting for your food. There have been numerous times when my mom waited for over an hour for her meal. The place isn't clean, which is really concerning. The hallways and lobby are filled with dust. I have even taken photos of the same dust piles on consecutive days when I've visited. I honestly want to move my mom to a different facility, but I can't because my dad just passed away and she might not handle the change very well right now. The management here changes pretty frequently, too. They're on their 4th president in just the three years they've been open. But the worst part is that the nurses often leave the residents' medications for them to take unsupervised. My mom is on opioids, which makes me worry whether she could potentially overdose if she stores them up.

"Assisted Living Facility: Moderate Satisfaction, Room for Improvement"
My dad's been at Thrive since late April. He's kinda happy. Cleaning could be better. Not much to do during the day. They eat out a lot. Medicine stuff was tough.

"Moved Mom Due to Change in Facility Leadership"
We sadly had to transfer our mom to a different living center. We're thankful for the care she received during her year there, but after the main manager moved on, it just didn't feel like home anymore.

"Nice Community, Tour Went Well"
This is a good community, and my tour of it went smoothly. Based on what I saw, the community is well taken care of. The staff I met were friendly and pleasant. Overall, it was a nice tour, but unfortunately, it wasn't the right fit for my mother.

"We appreciate it!"
Mom is doing well, and we really like the community and staff here. The meals are okay, but I'm a bit disappointed that they don't provide the healthy, low-sodium food they promised for residents. The community is outstanding in terms of cleanliness; there's no smell of urine or disinfectant.

"Food Quality Needs Improvement"
I was glad to find a new place close to my parents. The memory care side is full, and the staff on the assisted living side seems stretched thin. They need more help. Despite this, the staff is trying their best with what they have, except for one thing: the food is bad. My mom described today's lunch as dog food, with a big piece of fat and gristle in a pool of grease. This has been a problem since they opened. I don't understand why nothing's being done. A quick firing would fix it. Thanks for listening, a very concerned daughter.

"Welcoming but Unsanitary and Quite Expensive Facility"
The place has a warm ambiance, although it's not quite tidy. There's no security on the second floor and stairs - anyone can get access. Also, the cost is quite high.
