"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"
We chose this place due to urgent availability and initial affordability. However, prices went up in the first year. It’s conveniently close to my home. The staff, meals, and nursing could use improvement. I’m hesitant to recommend it now.

"Staff Shortage Needs Attention"
We really enjoy the people who manage things here, but they need more staff. Not necessarily better staff, just more staff.

"Good care, cold food, needs more activities for vision impaired"
The reason I gave 4 stars is the food. The meals are always cold when served. I eat with my loved one three days a week, so I know. The meal times are chaotic too. Other than that, the place is great. My loved one doesn't need much care, but the care she gets is great. They have a lot of activities, but I think they need more for people with vision problems. Overall, I would recommend Athens Place to others.

"Good Staff, Recommend to Others"
The staff are nice and they do their best with what they have. I would tell others to choose this place based on my experience here.

"Friendly Staff and Comfortable Facilities Ensure a Positive Experience"
The experience at the assisted living facility has been good. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the facilities are comfortable and clean.

"Impersonal atmosphere, aggressive sales, overly medicated residents, lacking homely touch."
We visited Athens Place. It was clean, and folks seemed okay, but they also seemed like they had too much medicine. It felt too much like a hospital, not like a cozy home. The people trying to sell it were really pushy.

"Visits Limited by COVID Restrictions"
Our loved one has been well cared for, but due to COVID, we haven’t visited since April. Initially excited about interacting through activities and meals, but restrictions prevent that.

"Disappointing Experience with Athens Place Assisted Living Facilities"
We picked Athens Place because they offer different assisted living levels. At first, Mom was Level 1, but soon they said she needed Memory Care. Then, they said there wasn't room for her, so she had to move. We were very disappointed. We had to move her again, losing the fees we paid initially, and start over with another place. We wanted to stay with Athens Place, but we couldn't.
