"Satisfied with Care, Minor Food Complaints"
We’re happy with the help we got from the staff in finding a safe and loving place. The people working in memory care paid good attention to what he needed and made him feel like he belonged there. He didn’t like that there was too much rice and that the food could have been hotter. We think he can come back home now with our help because that’s what he wants. If we need to find a place for him again, we’d think about going back to AHM. Thanks for all you’ve done. We’re talking to AHM and VA York Medical Center about when he can come home.

"Headline: "Assisted Living Facility Neglects Resident Safety For Money""
I really wouldn't suggest this place! It seems like all they care about is cashing in! They don't have nearly enough staff and they don't reward their employees for treating the folks who pay a pretty penny for a safe dwelling place right! The worst part is that it doesn't seem like they care about the safety of the people living there! My family member needed assistance and they slapped an alarm bracelet on her. Can you believe none of the staff was wearing one or even made aware they should? In the end, they were that desperate for money that they even allowed unstable individuals to move in, just for the extra money! I deeply regret having put my dear family member through such a terrible experience!

"Basic Care Facility with Limited Support"
They do their best, but lack enough staff and equipment. I'd suggest this place for people who don't need much help.

"Neglected Care, Disappointing Service"
My family member didn't get enough attention at American House. We asked about moving her to a higher level of care, but nothing changed. She was supposed to be a Level 2 resident but needed more help. When she arrived on Friday, she still hadn't had a bath by the following Tuesday.

"Caring Staff, Mom Loves Assisted Living Friends"
My mom really likes the place where she lives and the buddies she's made. Right now, they don't have enough workers, so sometimes we have to wait a bit to get help, but everyone is super nice to her.

"Good Care, Friendly Staff at American House"
My family member lives at American House Murfreesboro and they're doing a pretty good job. The people who work there are nice and they take good care of the residents. They try their best to help everyone, but they should get better at making friends with the people living there.

"American House: Affordable but Needs Improvements"
As an assisted living facility, American House feels safe based on my experience. While they are more affordable than most, you have to overlook some cleanliness and care issues that I think should be improved. They should maintain cleaner bathrooms and collaborate better with Hospice. Communication with family members could also be enhanced.

"Careless staff, neglectful management: Assisted living facility cautionary tale"
My loved one won't return. It started well, with a great Director. However, things changed after new ownership. Most staff left, and those who stayed disliked the Director. Care declined sharply. Despite raised rates, no improvement. Neglectful staff, lack of care. Grandfather suffered, unnoticed falls. No accountability. Grandfather died suspiciously. Beware before recommending.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Mixed Experience"
This place is okay. Sometimes, there's no nurse around, and the boss gives out meds even though she's not a nurse. The only good things were that it's clean and the food is good.

"Strong Urine Smell During Tour at American House Murfreesboro"
Our visit to American House Murfreesboro wasn't great. The place was getting fixed up when we went, but the carpet smelled really bad like pee.

"Pricey with Limited Appeal: Mixed Impressions of American House Murfreesboro"
I visited American House Murfreesboro, and the lady came on a Saturday to show me around, which was nice. The facility was always locked, which felt safe, but it meant more effort to get inside. It seemed small and a bit dark, but maybe that was because it was a Saturday and not very active. I couldn't see the daily activities. Since it was my first tour, I didn't realize its importance until I visited other places during the week. We chose a different community because American House was more expensive and had smaller rooms.

"Facility with institutional feel not suitable for independent seniors."
I visited American House Murfreesboro and wasn't impressed. It felt too much like a nursing home, reminding me of where my mother stayed back home. The residents seemed to require more cognitive assistance than my friend. It just wouldn't work for us.

"Friendly Place with Active Community During Ownership Change"
This friendly spot has kind folks around and is getting a new boss. They plan fun trips and are hanging out in the town more. Plus, they have other cool stuff to do that keeps everyone busy and part of the gang.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Community"
This place didn't work for us. We didn't see anyone outside the rooms, and all the doors were shut. They just tapped on the memory unit door and walked away. When I asked to see the memory unit, it didn't meet our standards. Overall, it was an okay community, but not the right choice for my loved one.
