Brookdale Belle Meade

"Convenient Laundry, Assigned Seating a Downside"
Our family visited Brookdale Belle, and I really liked that each apartment has its own washer and dryer. At Brookdale Meade, there are laundry rooms on every floor instead. Also, they pick where you sit for meals at Brookdale Meade, which I wasn’t happy about.

"Great facility but not for special care needs"
The tour at Brookdale Belle Meade was great. We liked the place, but it didn't seem like they could meet the special care needs of our loved one. Overall, it's a fantastic facility with a friendly staff.

"Assisted Living Review: Staff Care, Food Average, Active Environment"
At Brookdale Belle Meade, staff make an effort to communicate. However, turnover and hierarchy can disrupt care consistency. Medication management has been a concern, though overall care is caring. Food quality is average, typical of institutional settings. Maintenance issues are promptly addressed, and the campus, while older, is kept clean. Ongoing redecoration shows commitment to improvement. Activities are abundant, including outings and in-house entertainment. Staff ensure residents are well-supported and engaged daily. Despite challenges, Brookdale Belle Meade is recommended for its caring environment.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
My mom picked Brookdale mainly for the small patio. There's no kitchen. Staff is nice, but some leave. The salesperson was great. It's purely assisted living, no independent living. Mom's quite independent, so she struggles fitting in with residents who need more help. I'd suggest checking if it suits your loved one's needs.

"Assisted Living Tour Review"
We visited Brookdale Belle Meade, but it seemed less tidy and organized compared to others. The lady who gave us the tour was really nice.

"Mixed Experience at Brookdale Assisted Living, Highlighting Service Concerns"
At Brookdale, it's been mostly good. They offer activities, and our loved one now participates after some encouragement. Residents can now leave for meals with family. However, we've had issues with services like toiletries we pay for but still buy ourselves. Also, we've had to stay on top of medication management.

"Nice Community, But Not the Perfect Fit"
We visited a few different places, and this one was nice but not the best fit for my mom. The community was clean and well-kept. The outside was pleasant with a courtyard and pretty landscaping. The staff seemed nice, friendly, and very informative.

"Not Quite the Right Fit, but Great Staff and Service!"
I toured this place and everything went fine. The staff were on time and answered all our questions well. It just wasn't the right place for me in the end.

"Tour Was Great, But Prices Too High"
This place is okay. I liked checking it out. It looked clean and nice. The people I talked to were friendly. Everything went smoothly. We were thinking about moving my mom here. But it's too pricey for us. So, we're still deciding.

"Dimly Lit Assisted Living with Small Rooms"
I visited this community for a tour, and it was just okay. The lack of natural light made me feel uneasy. I hoped for a brighter, happier place for my loved one, but the rooms were smaller than expected.

"Corporate Cuts and Unfulfilled Promises: A Brookdale Review"
If you're looking into Brookdale Belle Meade, especially the Clare Bridge Place Memory Care Alzheimer's Unit, you should know about the company's cost-cutting methods. They're working with a tight budget, but they have residents that need more care than they're ready to offer. They're not doing much to make things safer for the residents either. The company seems more focused on its own interests than on those of its residents. There aren't any call buttons, and evenings and weekends are mostly supervised by untrained staff whilst only one certified "nurse" is given the onerous task of medication distribution for two floors. Reaching somebody to talk to or to let you in or out can be quite the task. If you're a family member, don't expect to be given entry or exit codes. The caregivers here mean well but they're stretched too thin due to tight budgeting. Sadly, the level of supervision and care here is lackluster for a facility that claims to serve the needs of its residents. If you're considering Brookdale for a loved one, they'll need to be stable on their feet and largely self-sufficient. Though it has a somewhat chaotic environment, the facility lacks the medical professionals required to keep things under control. Meal times, which should be pleasant, are depressingly mediocre. Their advertised "culinary cuisine" feels like a cruel joke, with overcooked vegetables served cold. The residents' food preferences don't seem to matter, despite the fact that they ask for this information upon admission. If your loved one needs assistance with eating or cutting up their food, help might not be available. In addition to the expensive cost of this facility, I'm also paying a private caregiver to drop by for a few hours each night. Despite its cost and supposed reputation, Brookdale Belle Meade leaves much to be desired. We're on the hunt for better options, assuming they exist.

"Looked like a welcoming place"
We visited this community while exploring care options for our loved one. We saw several places, and this one stood out near the top of our list. It was reasonably priced, clean, and had a friendly, professional staff.

"Perfect Fit for Active Mom with Dementia"
Finding the Crossings program for our mom, who is physically active with moderate dementia, made all the difference for us! Other places recommended just assisted living, but we were uncomfortable with that due to her cognitive limitations. Many memory care units didn’t seem right either because Mom is more active than most residents there. The Crossings was a unique fit for her needs. Mom has adjusted nicely and often says, “They keep us busy!” She enjoys the community outings and the activities at the residence. My siblings and I are happy with her transition to the Crossings program at Homewood.

"Friendly and Clean Assisted Living Community"
Overall, our experience with Homewood Residence has been good! It's a clean, well-kept, and nice-looking community, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. They are very responsive when it comes to communication, and I've never had any trouble reaching the right employee when I have had issues come up!

"Friendly and Caring Staff Made All the Difference"
Overall, I thought they did a great job here. The main reason we chose this place was because the staff was incredibly friendly and caring. They took great care of our loved one and made her feel welcome. It was also a very lively community, and we were impressed by all the activities they always had going on.

"Good for those with lower care needs"
We had our loved one stay here briefly, and while it seemed like a good community, it didn't quite meet our loved one's needs. Being a newer place, they still had some things to figure out. Unfortunately, they couldn't provide the higher level of care our loved one required. Overall, it's a nice place, but make sure they can handle your specific needs.

"Nice but pricey; lacks kitchen; convenient building layout; specialized care."
The place was really nice, but it was too expensive if we didn't get help from our kids. The rooms didn't have kitchens, which Mom wanted even if she didn't plan to cook. They were in different buildings, so she'd have to walk outside to get to the main one for meals, which could be a problem. But, it seemed like most of the buildings were only three levels, which is good in case of an emergency. I learned that the other buildings were for Alzheimer's and similar conditions. If Mom stayed there, she'd be in the main building.

"Assisted Living Gem: 3 Meals, Help Button, Therapy, TV Options"
This place serves three meals every day, and you can press a button around your neck if you need help. They offer speech and physical therapy if you need it. You get 94 channels on the TV, plus more if you want. They also have other services you can use if you need them. Overall, it's pretty good
