"Disappointing Dining, But Caring Staff: Brookdale Kingsport Assisted Living"
The food at Brookdale Kingsport is really bad, even worse than hospital food. Almost all the other people living here don't like it either. But the people who work here are really nice. I think the money I pay for living here is too much for what I get, but I knew how much everything would cost when I decided to move in.

"Impressive, safe rehab center with kind staff."
My mom stayed at a rehab center. Brookdale staff evaluated us, treated us kindly, and impressed us during the facility tour. I'd recommend it to other families.

"Expensive Facility with Poor Service for My Mom"
I really didn't like this facility. Every single service they provided for my mom came with a price. I didn't intend to rate them at all. If I had to, I would rate them a 1.

I felt uncomfortable seeing neglected elderly at the entrance.

"Uncaring Staff and Neglected Elders at Assisted Living Facility"
Right when I stepped in, I didn't feel comfortable. Immediately, I saw an old lady in a wheelchair by the entrance. She was hunched over in her chair all by herself. I watched as two staff members passed her and didn't bother to check on her. I don't think we can consider this place.

"Comfortable and Homey Assisted Living with Lovely Amenities"
I really liked visiting Brookdale Kingsport with as our guide and meeting, the Director. The place feels cozy and clean. The people we talked to seemed happy and relaxed. Many were having lunch in the dining room and looked forward to socializing. The dining area was nice, with comfy chairs and pretty table settings. We met a sweet cat who loves the garden. He cuddled up in arms, making it feel even more homey. She showed us around, and we saw some nice apartments. They had high ceilings and big windows with good views. The furniture was unique and beautiful, reflecting each resident’s style. Outside, there are comfy sitting spots and pretty gardens. Overall, I was really impressed and hope my dad and his wife consider moving here. They could stay independent while getting the help they need. Plus, they could enjoy the company and activities here.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
The people who work here were really nice and enthusiastic about what they had to show us. The rooms were great—big, clean, and easy to use for people with disabilities. But the building was confusing for residents with dementia.

"Unsatisfactory Meals and Care at Elderly Residence"
The grub here simply doesn't cut it and the staff doesn't pay enough attention to the seniors when they're eating! I already reported this in my previous review and even spoke directly to the person in charge, but so far, nothing's changed. It's true this place is pretty close to where I live, but I'll think about moving Mom and Dad to another spot if that means they'll get proper meals and stay healthy.

"Mixed Feelings About Parents' New Home"
I've been at Brookdale a lot with my parents. The room's good, the staff's nice, but sometimes they seem short on help. My biggest issue is the food. It's pricey for what we get. Not much variety, and it's not cooked right. Veggies are barely cooked, and the cornbread muffins are too hard for older folks. It'd be nice to have more choices than just cheese sandwiches.
