"Dining Disappointment at Clarendale Assisted Living"
The Clarendale at Indian Lake is a pretty good place to live, except for the dining room. We moved in July 2019. Everything else is good, like the place is always clean and the outside areas are taken care of. But, the dining room people don't really listen to us who live here. They don't care about our suggestions.

"Unhappy with dining experience at Clarendale at Indian Lake"
The Clarendale at Indian Lake looks nice, has lots of stuff to do, and the people who work there are good folks. We wanted to eat lunch there today. We learned they were taking our names and telling us to wait in the bistro. There were only about one-third of the dining room tables being used. They promised to let us know when we could sit down. The person serving us only said that they were told to do this. I've lived here for two years and I can honestly tell you that eating here is no fun.

"Poor Food Quality and Inadequate Diabetic Options at Assisted Living"
The quality of the food here is really dropping. I consistently run out of basics like milk and bread. The soup and baked potatoes are always served cold, just like the scrambled eggs. I tried voicing my concerns to the person in charge of the food and drinks, but he didn't seem to care. And talking to the lady who runs the place won't help, because she won't do anything either. What's worse, they totally ignore the needs of diabetics like me. Their menu has too much pasta and potatoes, but hardly any vegetables. And they don't offer any sugar-free desserts for diabetics either.

"Assisted living facility falls short on promises"
Clarendale at Indian Lake seemed nice, but they didn't deliver. During the tour, they promised a lot, but it wasn't true. We stayed only four nights. When we arrived, the caregiver said my loved one needed constant care, which shocked us because they assured us they could handle it.

"New director sacrificed food's taste and portion for appearance."
The new Food and Beverage Director has really messed things up. Ever since he came, the food doesn't taste as good and the servings are smaller. It's like they care more about how the food looks than how it tastes.

"Assisted Living Falls Short on Promised Services"
They told us there'd be maid service, but the cleaners only show up every other week. The floors don't always get mopped, and the countertops are never cleaned. Instead of doing their job inside the apartments, they spend more time hanging out in the hallway. When we moved in, the food was much better, and the portions were decent. But ever since some guy from Dallas took over as Director, things have gone downhill. We pay $11 for a meal, only to end up going back to our apartments to make something else to eat.

"Reviewer Pleased with Assisted Living Community Despite Food Concerns"
"I'm really glad I chose this place and enjoy it a lot. I've been here for a year now and made many friends. The food could be better sometimes, but hopefully, things will improve after the virus is over."

"Quality decline; inadequate portion sizes."
The food went from good to bad. Dinners are small.
