"More assistance needed at night for non-memory care residents"
They're good if you don't need memory care. But they should help residents more at night.

"Assisted Living Review: More Activities Needed for Senior Engagement"
Mom seems mostly happy at the facility, but she gets sad when staff leave. I think they should add an exercise program for seniors to do gentle stretches and moves to stay loose and move better. For the money we pay, they should have more activities to get residents more interested in hanging out with each other.

"Warm, Welcoming Home with Great Food and Activities"
Country Cottage is super clean with no bad smells. They always have fresh candles burning. There’s a cozy fireplace, comfy furniture, and lots of TV rooms. Our family member loves food and he’s happy with the meals here. Sometimes activities are less because of covid, but there’s usually a schedule of fun things to do, like a walking group he likes. Plus, they have cookies ready to eat all day and night. We definitely think other families should check this place out.

"Poor Care and Unresponsive Staff at Assisted Living"
The director at this assisted living facility was very unresponsive. I tried many times to communicate with her about my problems but she constantly ignored me. After we signed the papers, they showed no interest in helping us. I was the one who had to prepare my mom's medications. I also had to inform them when she needed more, but they took too long to resupply. Mom had a bad fall one time. Even though she was crying out for aid, no one from the staff paid any attention. Eventually, a visitor had to tell them about mom after nearly half an hour. When she returned from the hospice, she had lost a staggering 15 pounds within two months. They weren't seeing to it that she was properly taken care of. It was obvious they didn't have enough staff to look out for all the residents.

"Good Location, Dining, Needs More Activities"
This place isn't too big, which is nice. I do wish they had more fun stuff for my family member to do. She really likes it there though. We had a meal in the dining room with her once, and it was really good. Plus, it's in a convenient spot for that part of town.

A Place For Mom Customer
"Clean, Friendly, Secure, and Active Community"
The facility is very clean and has a friendly staff who get along well with both residents and visitors. Each room comes with a full, accessible bathroom, and there are pull cords near the bed and in the bathroom for emergencies. The building and outdoor areas are secure. They plan fun field trips like fishing and swimming. The cost starts at $2,000 per month, depending on room size and care needed, and covers almost everything except cable and phone, which are extra. They provide transportation to doctors on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at no extra charge, and there is a fee for other days. They will refill and dispense medications as directed and do laundry for you. The stay is monthly, and you can move out with a 30-day notice. The facility has 27 rooms, and there is a $500 fee to join the waiting list, which will be applied to the room cost. You can choose to accept or decline the room when it becomes available.
