"Mixed Signals at Assisted Living Facility"
While says they'll let your loved ones stay as they age, it's really up to the head of nursing. Sales tactics can be misleading. Overall, it's a decent place.

"Disappointed with Dinner at Assisted Living Facility"
Yesterday's dinner at Carriage Crossing at Rivergate was disappointing. They served French fries with gravy, an open can of tomatoes, cheese on bread, and only hot dogs. Please help improve the meals!

"Change in ownership, good dining, engaging activities, comfortable atmosphere"
There's a change in ownership causing some communication issues. Dining area is nice, meals look good. Staff engage residents in activities. Overall, it feels comfortable. [name] at the front desk is amazing.

"Mixed Feelings About Cadence at Rivergate's Dining Experience"
We liked Cadence at Rivergate's location, but feel meals could be better. Still recommend for families considering.

"Negligence, poor facilities, and discrimination plague this community."
The people who work there are only nice when they're trying to convince your family member to move in. Once they do, they seem to stop caring. People there are either dying or being moved away. My own family member has fallen over more than once and was even left on the floor because the emergency button wasn't working. They said their call system broke and they plan on bringing a new one. There have been outbreaks of COVID-19 a few times in the past several months. When an outbreak occurs, they force the residents to stay in their rooms, which isn't fair. There's not enough people working to give each resident the care they deserve. I've noticed some prejudice happening too. My own family member was treated unfairly and when one worker who reported it to me and the director was unfairly let go for speaking up. To top it off, the place doesn't even have a real dining room or decent food. They're serving their residents stuff like cheese sandwiches for dinner.

"Community Shows Promise Despite Staffing Challenge"
They're doing their best with activities; currently no activities director. Unit size impressed us; we'd recommend this community.

"Experience at Cadence Assisted Living Went Downhill"
A Disappointing Experience at Cadence Assisted Living." Initially, our experience with Cadence Assisted Living started off pretty good. Some of the workers were awesome, while others, not so much. The communication started off really good, but then, out of the blue, it suddenly went silent. Also, because they gave our loved one too much medication, they phoned us to say she needed more care than what they first told us she would need. I must say, that was a letdown. The staff members themselves were decent, but after that incident, the management staff got less and less nice and helpful.

"Unpleasant staff experience makes facility unrecommendable"
I had a bad experience with an employee at this assisted living home. This event happened with three, maybe even four people living there watching. This situation shouldn't have occurred at all. Even though the main office in Louisville apologized and acted professionally, I can't recommend any of their homes.

"Mixed Experience at Elmcroft Assisted Living"
Our family was new to the idea of assisted living when we chose Elmcroft. The staff is friendly and cares about the residents. The facility is nice too. However, they don't have enough staff, and they make promises they can't keep. There were big gaps in care. The accounting was inconsistent, and we had to double-check bills for accuracy. Leaving Elmcroft, our family members repeatedly said they didn't want to come back because they didn't feel properly cared for with medication and supervision.
