"Mixed Impressions"
Our family visited Germantown Plantation in person. The community seemed worn and needed updates. The step-in tub/shower might be tricky for my mother-in-law, but we did like the community. .

"Assisted Living Falls Short: High Cost, Low Care, Poor Communication"
This place costs a lot more than others I looked at, and we're really let down by the care our loved one is getting. They're not doing enough to help her with meals or keeping track of what she eats and drinks. She got sick twice in her first few weeks here, and I had to push for her to see a doctor. They have a podiatrist but only if I take her there. Even basic help like turning on the shower costs extra, and the monthly fees are already too high. The staff doesn't seem to know her well enough to tell when she needs extra help, and they hardly ever update me on her health or medications unless I ask.

"Mixed Feelings About Germantown Plantation"
We visited Germantown Plantation, and it wasn’t the best among the communities we saw. Later, I heard positive things about it, but it seemed like a nursing home.

"Caring Staff and Spacious Apartments Make This Assisted Living Stand Out"
During our first visit, the staff stood out to me. They seemed genuinely caring towards the residents. I especially liked the executive director and the nursing director. They check on our mom frequently. She feels it's not private enough, but we're grateful for the attention. The apartments are really large; the biggest we've seen. Overall, it's been a positive experience, and I'd recommend it to others.

"Independent Living with Personalized Care"
Germantown Plantation seemed really nice for people who can do things on their own. We wanted a place that takes better care of each person.

"Great for Independent Living, Less So for Assisted Care"
We liked this place and were ready to move in ourselves. The community is nice and the people were friendly. This community seemed better for independent living. We didn’t feel the assisted living part offered the care our loved one needed.

"Friendly Staff and Amenities"
When we visited, this community seemed really nice. The friendly staff made a good impression. However, it was a bit pricier than we expected. On the bright side, they do have a swimming pool and enjoyable activities.

"Nice Community, Kind Staff, but Too Expensive"
I visited this place and it was nice. Everything looked great and well-kept. The staff was really nice and answered all my questions. They have good amenities for the residents. The food menu I saw looked good too. Overall, it was a good experience, but it's too expensive for me.
