"Staff Changes and Noisy Meals"
They change staff a lot. If you go to the hospital, coming back is tough. They should improve activities for wheelchair users. Also, meals with noisy videos upstairs.

"Accessible and Caring"
This place is easy for my family to reach, and it seems to be well managed with caring staff.

"Escape from Neglect: Delighted in New, Superior Assisted Living Facility"
I parted ways with Commonwealth Senior Living about two months ago. The place I'm staying at presently is top-notch. The staff - nurses, caregivers, and management team - have bent over backwards to offer exceptional care. I'm starting to regain my strength largely due to the nutritious food they serve. I had gnats bite me at Commonwealth, which have since healed, but left behind scars. The nurses here diligently check my skin weekly to track the healing process and ensure that I don't develop an infection from the bites. They are careful in keeping my door locked up tightly at night, preventing anyone from the memory care unit from getting into my bed. I've been able to make friends here and with their support and my therapist's help, I am tackling Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Though, I still have nightmares. I reported a nurse from Commonwealth to the Tennessee Board of Nursing for neglecting her duties, and plan to file additional reports with the Tennessee State. Now, I finally feel happy, I feel safe, and I feel cared for appropriately. Please take this tip, steer clear from Commonwealth Senior Living, Oak Ridge. This platform advises against being offensive, but read the undertones, and you'll see the true state of Commonwealth.

"Unimpressed with Security and Food at Assisted Living Facility"
The memory care area wasn’t safe enough. Also, the meal choices didn’t really wow me.

"Great Activities, But Too Big and Pricey for Us"
We had a great tour at this place. It’s a big community, and they really encourage activities and social gatherings. Everyone eats together in a dining area, and there are places to hang out on each floor, so people interact a lot. It wasn’t the right fit for us because it was too big and more expensive.

"Neglect at Assisted Living Facility Despite High Monthly Payments"
My brother has been living at Oak Ridge, an assisted living place, for four years. Recently, they called an ambulance to take him to Park West Hospital to check on him because they said he was acting odd. When the paramedics arrived, my brother was all wet and messy. They asked the facility's staff to clean him up before taking him, but the staff said no. He was taken back to Oak Ridge because the hospital didn't find any odd behavior. The facility called for another ambulance to go to a different hospital. My brother was still dirty and they still wouldn't clean him. The ambulance crew cleaned him and saw no issues with his behavior. I got a call from the ambulance driver telling me there was severe neglect and mistreatment happening to my brother. I pay more than 5000.00 a month for them to take care of my brother but they haven't been doing a good job. Nobody should be treated this way.

"Care and Convenience Shine at Oak Ridge Senior Living"
We picked Commonwealth Senior Living at Oak Ridge for its proximity to her friends and doctors. The rooms are a bit smaller than others we considered. The standout feature here is the attentive care she receives—they're prompt in getting her to the hospital when needed. I would definitely recommend it.

"Wonderful staff and activities, but bookkeeping needs improvement"
The staff here are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They are very caring and always helpful to me and my parents. My parents are really happy living here. There are lots of fun activities every day and the food is great. The residents all seem to be enjoying themselves. The only issue I've had is with the bookkeeping, which is pretty slow to fix mistakes.

"Security Concerns in Memory Care"
This place is really great and it's one of the best options we're considering. But, there's one thing that's not so good: the Memory Care section isn't secure.

"Nice place but feels a bit too large"
I saw a lot during my tour, and it was a nice place! The staff were friendly, and everything looked great. My only worry was that it felt a bit too big, but overall, it’s a wonderful place!

"My Mother Is Doing Great Here!"
I highly recommend this community. Everything is going well for my mother here, and I’m happy. The place looks great, and her room is always clean. The staff is very good. The food is delicious—she says they give her too much, but it's good to know she's eating well. They’re taking good care of her. I would definitely recommend this place.

"Nice staff, small rooms, great view, not for everyone"
We went to visit and had a good time. Everyone was friendly. The rooms were a bit small for us, and I don't like small spaces. If it wasn't for that, I would have loved to live there. The view was awesome, and the people made us feel welcome.
