Manorhouse Assisted Living and Memory Care

"Terrible Experience: Unpleasant Odor and Understaffed!"
Not long after I started touring this assisted living facility, I knew my mother-in-law wouldn't be staying here. The minute we stepped onto the memory care floor, the awful smell of urine hit us hard. On top of that, we saw several caregivers scramble to put their phones away and pretend to be busy when we walked by. But the worst part was coming across about 10 Alzheimer's or Dementia patients lined up against a wall. They were crammed into uncomfortable chairs or wheelchairs, waiting for a single overworked aide to look after them. It was the worst visit I had that day. When we finally left, the only thing we could say was a definite 'heck no'!
