"Welcoming Assisted Living with Dedicated Staff and Vibrant Community"
I really like this place for my mom. The people here are great with her. Sometimes, they have new people working, so it can be tough to get answers without talking to the Director. But when I did, he helped me get everything I needed. The staff and the other residents are all really nice. The atmosphere is wonderful I love it. They clean my mom's apartment every week and check on her a lot. There's always a bunch of activities to do. I definitely think it's worth the money.

"Comfortable Assisted Living with Exceptional Care and Family Atmosphere"
We chose this community because the room had a beautiful view. I recognized some residents from our church. It feels cozy and down-to-earth here. All the staff go out of their way to help. The care for the residents is excellent. It feels like a family here. Overall, I would suggest it to other families.

"Disappointing Dining and Activities, Staff Attitude Needs Improvement"
My parents don't like Morningside much. The food isn't good, and they have to buy groceries because they only have a microwave. The staff doesn't pay attention to them and can be rude. The manager's son and daughter bother them. The activities are boring, like coloring. They should take us on fun trips.

"Poor Living Conditions Deteriorate Experience at Morningside of Belmont"
Unfortunately, Morningside of Belmont hasn't met our expectations since my mom moved in March. It was good at first, but then things started to get worse. It's already tough getting older, but being in a building that is going through serious construction and having to move around, live with dust, and not getting extra care during these hard times is extremely hard. Also, the food here is really bad. I've visited to see things for myself, and I can't even put into words how chaotic it is. There are some nice staff members who I'm really thankful for, but the overall conditions here are just sad. The worst part is, we don't have enough money to easily move my mom somewhere else. Seeing what the residents have to go through breaks my heart. So, I've had to drop my rating from five stars to just one. I hope something big changes soon to make things better for the residents.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
This place was alright, kinda diverse, with a nice social vibe. But, I didn't like how they tried to sell it. They kept emphasizing my mom as a problem rather than just showing us around. It felt crowded with too few workers. The rooms were old-fashioned, and the cost was higher than newer places.

"Well-kept community with rehab, dining, and social activities"
This community looked nice and well taken care of when we visited. They offer rehab services and short stays. They have restaurant-style dining and lots of social activities. There's a beauty salon and an activity room on site.

"Disappointing Conditions and Poor Service at Morningside of Belmont"
My folks live at Morningside of Belmont and it's been a complete letdown. The food service is the worst. There's been a revolving door of management in the dining area, including cooks and servers who just don't show up. The food itself is also disappointing. We've been through a change in directors and even the person who planned activities got the boot. My parents' kitchen sink is a constant problem, getting clogged up and nobody seems to bother fixing it, even after daily reports this past week. The sink fills up with a nasty black gunk and the tap drips non-stop. We tried shutting off the water but the valves won't work. Last weekend, a soaked bathroom ceiling tile came crashing down and nearly hit my father. The repair guy simply jammed the wet tile back into the ceiling and rigged up some plastic to hold it up. If I could go back, I would never have had them stay here. And that's not even mentioning the other problems.

"Assisted Living Facility Decline Upsets Long-Distance Family"
My mom's assisted living place is not doing well. My mother lives there and she's seen it change in wrong ways. She's really sad about things going on. She likes doing fun stuff with the other folks and the workers, but they decided to stop doing things on weekends. Mom says the whole place is empty during weekends and none of the bosses are there either. She's also unhappy because caregivers are made to help in the dining area and she's put off that someone who just assisted another resident is serving her food. And she told me all the waitstaff are there too, so she doesn't get what's happening. Apparently, the management has changed and it's not good. She told me there was a phone number for complaints but I didn't find it on their website. It hurts me seeing my mom upset and crying since I don't live close. I hope things get better.

"Residents Go Hungry on Thanksgiving at Assisted Living Facility"
It's Thanksgiving Day, and residents were supposed to receive a boxed meal delivered to their rooms. Unfortunately, they ran out of boxed lunches, leaving some residents without a meal. Feeding these residents should be a priority. I hope management realizes this, especially since they all took the day off. It's disheartening that some people went hungry on this day of thanks.

"Supportive Staff, Adjustments Needed, Overall Satisfactory Experience"
At Morningside of Belmont, I'm not sure how much they focus on each new resident individually. My dad is shy, and it's hard for him to communicate because I'm at work during the day, and his memory isn't great. So, I'm not sure if they're giving him enough attention, and I just don't know. Overall, though, I've been happy. He's been treated well. It's been tough getting him settled. He had a lot of changes all at once. His wife passed away right before he moved here, and he came from another state. So, the first few weeks were rough. But things have been getting better lately. It would help if he'd talk to people. He waits for them to talk to him because he's shy. The staff here are always quick to help whenever we need anything. They take care of things right away. Overall, I've been pleased so far.
