"Morningside Food Review"
Let me tell you about Morningside's food—it's just terrible. When my mom stayed there a couple of months ago, I sat with her during meals, and I couldn't believe what I saw: pale, tasteless, and unimaginative dishes. The picture they show of fruit and greens is completely fake. The lettuce is white, and the fruit is often canned. The staff turnover is a big problem. They let patients voice their opinions about the food, but nothing changes. Most of the meals are frozen and reheated. The whole place is disorganized, and the crafts are like something a little kid would make. Don't trust the pictures—they don't represent the reality.

"Great nursing, needs better maintenance"
The nursing at Morningside of Franklin is wonderful. They are very observant. The building itself has some issues, like problems with cable and water leaks. I wish the maintenance was better. Overall, it has been a good experience.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
We really liked everything here! The staff were nice and helpful. They have good care and fun activities. One thing we noticed is that while the common areas and front entrance were nice, the hallways and rooms looked a little worn and could use new carpets.

"Morningside Care Transforms Mom's Attitude and Brings Joy"
My mom moved to Morningside in Franklin, TN in August 2013 and was not happy at first. She was really upset about the family decision to move her there and had a bad attitude for 2-3 months. But something changed, and now she's completely different. She understands she’s in the right place, loves the staff, and takes part in Bingo and other activities. She enjoys meal times with her friends. She’s getting excellent care from a staff that truly cares about the residents. Occasionally, she complains about the food, but who doesn’t? I’ve eaten there many times, especially on Sundays, and the food has always been good. My siblings and I are so relieved that she’s in a safe and loving place.

"Modern, Bright Facility with Assisted Living and Retirement Community"
I was really impressed with this place. It’s very modern and bright because it’s recently been renovated. They have both assisted living and a retirement community. Plus, it’s close to the mall.

"Affordable Studio with Great Care Options"
I visited an assisted living place and here’s what I found: The cost for a studio apartment starts at $3,150. But, you’ll need to add a little extra for phone and cable services, which are $50 and $25 respectively. If you need Level II Care, that’s an additional $500. So, all together, you’re looking at $3,750. The prices are locked in for a year, but expect them to go up by 3-5% each year after that. If you decide to move out, you have to let them know 30 days in advance. This place is in Middle Tennessee and they have pharmacy services too. Tricia showed me around, and she was super helpful!

"Comfortable Rooms, Fair Deposits, Monthly Charges"
This place is really nice. The rooms are a good size. A deluxe one-bedroom or a regular one-bedroom would both be perfect. You have to pay a deposit to get on the waiting list, but they give it back if you don't end up moving in. They charge you by the month based on your needs and how much help you require.

"Homey feel with great care and mid-tier pricing"
This facility is 6.0 miles (13 minutes) from our home and was the second assisted living facility we visited. It shares an entrance with a high-end residential neighborhood, all well-maintained with expensive cars and no traffic concerns. The facility is all one-story, which is a benefit. It doesn't have a grand entrance, opening directly to a large dining area. We visited at lunchtime and saw many residents, most of whom were highly independent, well-dressed, and interacting at the tables. Caregivers were assisting some residents and knew the director, who spoke with the residents but didn't call them by name. The quality of the facility and rooms was similar to the first facility we visited, but not quite as nice. There are large common areas for activities and watching TV. The level of care seems comparable to the first facility, but there is less entertainment and it's not quite as fancy. Still, it was nicer than I expected. The Executive Director, who toured us, is very knowledgeable and caring. We toured several nice apartments and met a lady who kept talking about how wonderful the place was. Her apartment was lovely, with furniture from her 10-room house. She said she chose this facility because it feels like living at home with an extended family and staff that love and care for you, unlike other higher-priced facilities that feel like hotels. This facility is part of FiveStar Senior Living with mid-tier pricing and no hidden costs. The one-time move-in fee is $1,000, but the director agreed to waive $500 because Dorothy's a vet.

"Limited Apartment Options, Enjoyable Size"
I kinda liked how small it felt, made it cozy. But, the apartments weren't my favorite. I wanted a fancy one-bedroom, but they said I gotta wait, they're hardly ever up for grabs.
