"Extreme Negligence and Unsatisfactory Conditions at Assisted Living Facility"
Low Quality Living Conditions, Negligence, and Illicit Activities at Assisted Living Facility" This place is disgustingly dirty. Mere steps from every back door, there's overflowing trash. A nauseating smell of garbage lingers in the laundry room. They use plastic table cloths but barely wipe them down after each meal, maybe once a week at best. It looks like they prioritize money over the well-being of the residents. Essential services are non-existent. When you fall and need help, they won't aid us. They'd rather have law enforcement bust open the doors because no one has keys to our building. There are residents who are dealing drugs. Unlicensed residents are giving others rides. Complaints are not addressed, with police needing to be called because administrators don't intervene in resident disputes. There's always some sort of chaos going around here. There are barely any social activities. Housekeeping is a running joke, especially with [name removed]. [Name removed] is the only diligent worker here, at the age of 70 no less. They are exploiting her by making her, a petite woman, empty the towering garbage cans. Even I, as someone younger and stronger, struggle to lift a half-full bag soaked in wet diapers. Making a 92-year-old woman do that is unthinkable. Imagine her trying to cope with heavy doors in the cold outdoors. Though there are leases, it seems like they're insatiable, constantly desiring more money. They even unlawfully raised the rent.

"Friendly Staff, Cleanliness Needs Improvement; Limited But Fun Activities"
This place isn't like your family home, but that's okay. It's a new chapter in life. They should clean the social area and laundry room more often. The staff is super nice and always ready to help. There aren't a ton of things to do, but the activities they have are enjoyable and well planned. I think the price we pay is fair for what we receive here.

"Lack of Activities Leaves Resident Bored"
We picked Southern Heritage due to its convenient location and good value. My relative stayed in a fully furnished respite room, and her needs were met. However, she felt unhappy because there weren't enough activities, leaving her bored.

"Gross Misconduct at Local Senior Living Facility, Approach with Caution"
This is by far the worst senior living facility in our area. Several employees have been caught stealing prescription drugs. They even had a trespasser living in their building, making dangerous drugs. The person in-charge often confronts residents aggressively and has delayed essential medical assistance without alerting the family members when it was crucial. The staff members are overworked and frequently let go during personal hardships, including mourning or hospitalization. I strongly advise you to carefully research before selecting a home for your loved ones. The priority of this facility appears to be profit, not the welfare of its residents.

This place seemed well-maintained when I visited. The tour guide was friendly. They provide transportation. It's small, not suitable for my loved one.

"Clean, convenient, varied activities; meals need improvement. Visit for care."
I like this place. It's really clean. My mom doesn't like the food much. They have lots of things to do. It's close by for us. Families should check it out for loved ones' care.

"Great staff and clean facility, but more activities needed"
I've found the staff at Southern Heritage Assisted Living to be really caring and attentive to my loved one. They quickly let us know if there's any issue. The food is good, and the place is clean. The decor is nice and suits the older people living there. There are some activities for the seniors to join, but it would be great if there were more. Overall, my family is very pleased with this facility. We think our loved one feels at home and happy here.

"Limited Amenities, Reliable Care"
Rooms are small, but meals are homecooked. They accept private pay and will assist with relocation if Medicaid is needed. Unfortunately, there's no activity director or physical therapy, but they offer tai chi instruction twice a month. They also handle VA medications, and laundry is included.
