"Top-Notch Living at Sycamore Terrace!"
Happiness! I've stayed in different senior apartments, but Sycamore Terrace is the best. The food is amazing, and the cleaning and laundry services are awesome. I can't imagine living anywhere else.

"Affordable but older facility with accommodating staff and on-site pharmacy."
The place has a nice administrator who lives there too. It was the cheapest out of the six we checked out, but it's probably the oldest and in a not-so-nice part of town. The staff were really nice and flexible. I also liked that they have a pharmacy on-site that delivers meds every day.

"Friendly and Well-Maintained Assisted Living Facility"
The place was really nice and kept up well. If we decide to go with assisted living, we'd likely pick this place. The folks there, even the residents, were all friendly and helpful.

"Lovely Place but Not for Dementia Patients"
Moving my mom from this place was tough, but I had to because it wasn't a locked community, and she wandered off. The place was nice, clean, and neat. The staff was friendly and kind, but they aren't equipped to handle people with dementia who get confused and wander. If my mom's condition hadn't gotten so bad, I would've loved to keep her here.

"Not Suitable for Wanderers"
It was tough, but I had to move my mom to a different place because this one wasn't secure, and she wandered off. The community was lovely, very clean and neat. The staff was friendly and kind, but I don't think they are prepared to handle people with dementia who get confused and wander. If my mom's condition hadn't gotten worse, I would have loved to keep her here.

"Our Tour Revealed Assisted Living Options"
This community seemed pleasant during our tour. The staff were friendly, offering independent living, assisted living, and respite stays. They provide nice amenities and activities. However, we weren't ready to move at that time.

We liked how close it was to downtown, where we live. The owner and staff were friendly, and two women invited us to see their unit. Lovely people.

"A Wonderful Community!"
My mom had a great time at this place. The staff was super friendly, and the community was well taken care of. They helped her with her wheelchair and were really attentive. Overall, no complaints—I'd recommend this company to anyone.

"Friendly Atmosphere with Long-Term Staff and Community Feel"
I really liked it. Pam was really nice and friendly. The building is a bit old, but it felt like a real community. The staff have been working there for a long time. Smoking is only allowed in certain areas.

"Comfort and Care Make Sycamores Terrace Stand Out"
My mother spent several years at Sycamores Terrace. She started in an independent apartment, and as she needed more help, she moved to the assisted living area. Thanks to the great staff, this big change turned into a comfortable and friendly place where Mom felt safe. The staff is really patient and always addresses issues with kindness and respect. They use humor a lot but know when to be firm if needed. Both residents and their families feel valued! I always liked visiting Mom for meals. The dining room looks nice, and the food tastes great! The warm and friendly atmosphere at Sycamores Terrace was a big difference-maker for both Mom and me compared to other assisted living places.

"Poor Treatment and Low Pay At Assisted Living Facility"
This care home treats their people badly, pays their workers too little which causes them to leave a lot. The head nurse doesn't even have their complete nursing degree. I would absolutely not suggest you send your parents here.

"Better options needed for dementia wanderers at Sycamore Assisted Living"
It was nice, but when we said what we needed, the lady said this place might not be good for my sister. She wanders because of dementia, and the lady said she shouldn't say it, but if it was her family, she'd look for somewhere else.

"Final Months Disappointing at Assisted Living Facility"
If you can't look after yourself, this place doesn't want you. My aunt stayed there for nearly 20 years. Things were ok until her health started going downhill, then they didn't want her there anymore. The last few months were particularly rough. They couldn't wait to get rid of her and didn't want to deal with our family's crisis. When she was able-bodied, she enjoyed it there. But after a fall that landed her in the hospital, they reversed a promise to let her stay until we found somewhere else. With no warning, they just kicked her out with nowhere to go. They surely don't go the extra mile for anyone.

"Lacking Facilities and Activities. Lovely Grounds, But Mom Unimpressed."
The one-bedroom apartment didn't have a walk-in shower and its kitchen felt old. The hallways and common areas lacked decorations, making them less enjoyable. The food here is served buffet style but the options are limited. On the bright side, the area around the facility is beautiful, and each apartment has its own deck or patio. Unfortunately, there are limited activities at the facility and most are off-site, requiring a van trip. I doubt my Mom would be pleased with this place, also there is no Jewish community. The cost for a one-bedroom apartment with one meal and housekeeping twice a month is $1825, two meals and weekly housekeeping raises it to $2030. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit does have a walk-in shower with grab bars and goes for $2525.

"Affordable Assisted Living with Convenient Amenities and Supportive Staff"
This place costs $2050 for a shared bathroom and kitchen. If you want your own bedroom, it's $3,182. You can do laundry here, but it costs $5 for each load. You can also get a telephone and cable TV. If you need extra care, it's $350 more. They use Healthcare Pharmacy for medicine. There's a nurse practitioner here every week. The office is in Hendersonville. Good things: They help you bathe and get dressed. They're prompt when it's time to eat and do activities.

The assisted living facility might be too far away. We'll think about it.

"Old facility, friendly staff, clean but dated amenities, not for us"
The people were really nice. The building was old. They try to keep it nice, but the bathrooms and kitchen are old-fashioned. It was clean, but it wasn't what we were looking for.

"Mixed Feelings: Some Positives, But Area Disappoints"
This place isn't in a good spot. But, there are balconies/patios and storage. You also get full-sized appliances, and the utilities are part of the deal.
