"Comfortable Assisted Living with Caring Staff"
I'd tell a friend that the assisted living facility looks clean, safe, and comfy. The staff, especially (who was the Director back then), were caring. My mom felt secure and got her needs met promptly. The meals didn't wow her, but when I sat with her, they seemed okay—maybe just a matter of taste. When my sister and I needed a respite option for our mom (she couldn't go home with 24-hour care), we picked The Hearth/Vitality. It was close, had good pricing, and , the Director, put us at ease about our mom's stay.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short in Meeting Resident Needs"
I think this place is okay if you're healthy. They promised to care for my mom as her cancer got worse, but they couldn't. They were understaffed, and some workers were lazy, but a few were great. When my mom needed her comfort meds, it took too long to get them. Her passing wasn't peaceful, which was heartbreaking. They said hospice needed to approve us giving her meds after she died. They're going through changes; I hope things get better.

"Family hopes for more engaging activities at assisted living facility."
My parents find it difficult to adjust to activities here, unsure how many join in. Hoping for more engaging options for everyone.

"Friendly Staff and Quality Care at The Hearth"
We chose The Hearth for our loved one mainly because of the friendly staff. They pay attention to both residents and families. While there's room for improvement, the care quality is almost 5 stars. We haven't tried the meals ourselves, but our loved one seems to enjoy them. The staff does a good job with activities, and we like seeing them interact with residents. Our only complaint is that clothes sometimes go missing despite marking them. Still, we recommend The Hearth at Hendersonville to other families.

"Facility Needs Improvement and Couldn't Care for Loved One"
We visited Hearth at Hendersonville for a tour, and the staff were friendly. However, the facility needs significant improvement—it's run-down and not as bright as other places. Unfortunately, they couldn't care for my loved one due to a wound.

"Mixed Feelings on Care Quality and Communication in Assisted Living"
They made a convincing pitch to attract residents, but the care feels lacking. Staff communication is okay, and residents get three meals daily.

The waiter always grips the rims of glasses when serving drinks. We can only guess where his hands have been. Nobody seems to be checking on things in the dining area.

"Comfortable and Fun Assisted Living at The Hearth in Hendersonville"
This place is awesome! You can meet new friends, and the staff is super nice and helpful. There's always something to do like exercising, crafting, or watching TV in your big room. The Hearth takes good care of you, and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I always recommend it to others!

"Caring and Active Assisted Living for Seniors"
The staff here are really nice and they help seniors who are active or semi-active. They have lots of things to do like games, shows, and help with exercise. Also, there are nurses who can help. We have a good private place to stay. They make all our meals, clean our place once a week, do our laundry, and help us with other things we need. The place is nice and clean too, which makes life here enjoyable.

"Review of The Hearth at Hendersonville - Hendersonville, TN"
The best thing about living here is the people – both the residents and the staff. They are like my family away from my original family. The staff takes care of us with kindness, safety, and great service. I have been here for 3 ½ years.

"A Pleasant Assisted Living Experience"
I live in a pleasant two-room apartment with a spacious bathroom. The view from my window is green, with lots of trees. If I need extra assistance, it's readily available. Most residents are here because their children live nearby, and they prefer not to live with family or alone. The meals provided are good, wholesome, and served three times a day, with surprisingly varied options. My only regret is feeling old and more dependent now.

"Assisted Living Oasis: A Perfect Home Away from Home"
I didn't know what to expect from retirement homes, but this one exceeded my hopes. I have plenty of options here, from choosing my apartment to controlling the temperature. They provide telephone service, personal assistance, and meals on time. I get to pick where I sit in the dining room, and they respond quickly when I call. Plus, they keep an eye on my health. I feel cared for and known here.

"Assisted Living Delights Residents with Great Service and Activities"
This place is really nice. The nurses and servers are friendly and helpful. They always have a smile when they serve us. The parties during holidays are a blast, and the food is super good. I especially enjoy going on the bus rides during weekends. Everyone who works here does a great job taking care of us.

"Terrible Care at The Hearth Assisted Living"
My mother-in-law spent a year at The Hearth in Hendersonville. After paying extra for Comfort Care, we couldn't get decent service; we'd wait over 25 minutes after pressing her call button. Adding Hospice care was a little better, but still didn't meet her needs. We ended up moving her out within two weeks. The food is pre-made from SYSCO and is awful, with very few options. The nursing and housekeeping services were consistently unresponsive and ineffective. I can't recommend this place to anyone. The constant job openings up front now make sense to me. Although I thought The Hearth was an excellent choice for my mother-in-law, I wouldn't want to live there myself. We've since moved her to NHC, where her health is actually improving. Despite the increased cost, it's worth it.

"Some good things, some bad things"
My mom lives in the memory care unit at Keepsake Village. Here are some good and not-so-good things about it: The Good: - The workers are friendly and try their best. - Residents are also friendly. - The place is clean and secure. - They organize outings to local places like restaurants. The Not-So-Good: - Sometimes, they make mistakes with medications. - The food isn't great, not terrible, but not amazing. - The rooms are small. - It seems like they could use more staff.

"Promising Start: Staff Is Wonderful!"
I think it’ll be okay. The place is new, and they’ve got double locks for Alzheimer’s patients so they can’t wander off. The staff? Well, right now, they’re absolutely wonderful.
