"Assisted Living Review"

I wrote a review a while back, but it seems it got taken down. I'm not very happy with this place, and I don't think many people are. My mom has lived here for two years, and some bad things have happened. Her money was stolen from her purse twice, and someone even took a ring off her finger. She's had unexplained bruises, and they always try to blame her. But she's completely dependent and can't cause those bruises herself. Plus, a lot of her clothes have gone missing. The food isn't great either—they only serve water or tea with meals, never milk. They give her a shower once a week, and at one point, they put two diapers on her until we told them to stop. She's lost weight quickly, and one time, they left her lunch out of reach in her room instead of the dining area. When I pointed it out, they said she must have wheeled herself back, but that's impossible—her wheelchair was locked, and she doesn't have the strength to move it. They don't even brush her teeth, and she's had to get two teeth pulled because of decay. We decided to involve hospice for better care, but they raised the rent by $400. Hospice is supposed to be free, and they claimed they only work with one provider, but that's not true—you can choose any hospice you want. No other place raises the rent when you have hospice. There are a few people I trust here, but overall, it's not a great facility.

"Unlicensed Nurse Caring for Elderly At Assisted Living Facility!"

Why on earth would an assisted living facility hire workers who don't have valid medical licenses or don't have them at all? Is the management unaware of the laws about nursing? I made certain to remember the nurse looking after my grandmother. After doing some homework, I discovered her nursing license lapsed in 2012! Why would this home let her care for our loved ones? I promise you, I'll be reaching out to whoever is necessary to take care of this issue! If you have no valid license, stay away from my grandma.

"Great care and friendly staff in a wonderful community"

This is a great community. The staff is friendly to everyone. They have a good menu with many choices. There are lots of activities for residents who want to join in. We recommend this place for families who want great care for their loved ones.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"

The place looks good, but it costs $500 more than they said on A Place for Mom. The price goes up if you need more help. They don't give you basic cable, and not many people are around on Saturdays. There are only 3 caregivers during the day for 50-55 people. I suggest talking to someone other than the activity director. The place is clean and nice, but it's a bit cold.

"Odd Layout but Great Tour Experience"

I had a nice tour of this place, but the layout was a bit odd for me. Everything was fine, though. The person who showed us around was kind and did a great job.

"Castle Rock: Friendly, affordable, and perfect for our loved one!"

Castle Rock feels like home with its friendly atmosphere. The staff truly cares about the residents, who seem happy there. The prices are fair, and they offer one and two-bedroom apartments plus studios. The management is always around and very helpful. Castle Rock has been a real blessing for our loved one and our family.

"I love Castle Rock! More than expected!"

Castle Rock offers more than we ever expected from an assisted living community. My loved one is pleased with the food and enjoys the activities. The square and court are great spots for residents to relax. The owner and administrator are committed and truly care about the community. I love Castle Rock!
