"Poor Care and Lost Trust: Assisted Living Facility Review"
I had to visit my Father-in-law today after his home health nurse told me about the conditions she found him in yesterday. He was sitting in a dirty shirt and only his underwear, in a wheelchair. Today, I discovered feces in his wastebasket, left there by a staff member (I have pictures). He was asleep in his wheelchair in the bathroom. His legs had wounds from sitting in the wheelchair all day, against the doctor's orders to lie down and elevate them. His legs were swollen today, and more sores might develop soon. They didn't do his laundry this week because he was isolated due to Covid. As a nurse, I know we don't skip laundry just because someone has a virus! He didn't even have clean washcloths or towels. I've lost trust in their ability to care for my Father-in-law and maintain his dignity. If your loved one needs real help, find somewhere else.

"Dignity and Safety Lost in Assisted Living"
I visited my father-in-law at his assisted living place because his nurse told me about some troubling things she saw. When I got there, he was in his wheelchair wearing a dirty shirt and just underwear. In his trash can, I found poop and blue gloves, which means someone working there left it like that. He’s fallen down four times already, and all the boss says is, “we can’t stop falls from happening.” I don’t believe anymore that they’ll take care of him the right way, with respect and safety.

"Good tour, but not our choice"
Our family took an in-person tour of Arbor House of Marble Falls, and overall it was a good experience. We thought the tour was much better than another place we had looked at for our loved one. However, it just wasn't going to be the right place.

"Good Assisted Living with Quick Response, Good Meals, and Fun Activities"
This place seems nice for your loved one. Most things go as the community promised. The staff handle any questions or concerns from families quickly. My loved one is happy with the meals. There are a few choices for the residents to pick from. There are lots of activities like exercise classes, trivia, entertainers, movies, and more for the residents to enjoy. Each unit has a kitchenette with a microwave, sink, and refrigerator. The community takes care of the laundry and housekeeping for my loved one.

"Great place to live with good amenities despite Covid limitations"
I think the facility is a good place to live, even though they can’t do many activities right now because of Covid. It’s definitely one of the better places in Marble Falls. My dad likes having his own 2-bedroom apartment and being able to stay independent and drive. They bring him meals whenever he calls them. Everything is included with one monthly payment, which covers meals, housekeeping twice a month, rent, and electric.
