"Laundry shifts caused confusion for caregivers and staff."

Having a list of staff roles and duties would be useful. The laundry shifts were unclear.

"Lazy Staff and Absent Management Ruin Assisted Living Experience"

I picked this place 'cause there were lots of different people on staff. But, turns out, they hardly do anything! They just tuck family members in bed after lunch and leave them there 'til dinner. The caregivers are always whining about their jobs but never actually do anything to help. And when you need the managers on weekends? Forget about it! They're nowhere to be found, and during the week, they don't even answer calls.

"Great facility with caring staff, but menu could improve."

The place is really nice. The staff is very kind. They could change the menu more often because my mom gets bored with the same food. But besides that, I definitely recommend it.

"Mixed Feelings at Ariel Pointe"

Ariel Pointe of Sachse works well for my parents. The building feels bright and open, and they enjoy relaxing by the pool. They haven't connected with many neighbors yet, but that could change over time. Their main gripes are about the food and cleaning service.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"

This place looks nice and clean. Most workers are helpful, but some don't understand me well. Some higher-ups also have trouble talking with me. They seem more focused on selling than caring.

"Mixed experience: Outstanding activities, but staff and safety concerns."

My family member fell a lot. Once, they heard bad words from the caregivers, and meals were messy. The person who organized activities did a great job! The place looked nice, but my family member fell badly and had to go to the hospital. When they came back, they were sicker and passed away. The facility is nice, but the staff, except for the activity person, didn't impress me. Sometimes, families had to help with meals. I think my family member would have been better. I think that's what it's called. We needed hospice help too. It's hard to sum up my feelings about this place.

"Overall, mixed experience."

Ariel Pointe of Sachse is newer than other places, and the residents are friendly. Life here is easier. The food menus are decided by CIVITAS Corporate offices, and our suggestions seem to fall on deaf ears. The kitchen staff lacks control, and the dining room service staff has high turnover—mostly local school kids. Training is insufficient. Communication is another weak point—they need improvement! Remember: Like any aspect of life, it's what you make it.

"Inconsistent Service and Communication at Ariel Point Assisted Living"

Ariel Point looks nice, but stuff behind the scenes messy. New director good. Billing fixed. Maintenance slow. Communication and organization needed. Meals hit or miss. Piano player gone, blamed on corporate.

"Neglected Care: Assisted Living Woes"

In an assisted living facility, my parents reside on the independent side. We’ve decided against moving them to the memory care section after glimpsing its interior. The food quality has plummeted, it’s downright terrible. Even if you decline the meals, they still charge you. Our previous activities director was a gem. She’d bring craft supplies, and residents would create seasonal wreaths for their doors. But the new director hands out coloring sheets and expects residents to organize activities and foot the bill themselves. Supposedly, it’s 24/7 concierge service, yet when my mom urgently called the front desk for an ambulance in the dead of night, no one answered. She was left helpless, and my brother had to rush my dad to the hospital. The care has vanished into thin air. The food? Unhealthy and unpalatable. It’s disheartening because this place used to be lovely. My mom’s feedback and reviews fall on deaf ears. Once they’ve got you signed under contract, you become insignificant.

"Not ideal for us, but a great option for others."

I visited this place, and it was good. The staff was friendly, and everything was clean. But it's a big area, and my family member would be far from the dining spot. It's not perfect for us, but it could work for your loved one if distance isn't a problem. Also, it costs more than some other places we saw.

"Beautiful, New Facility with Great Location and Spacious Apartments"

This place is really beautiful. It’s only about 2.5 years old and located in a growing area. There’s a big park nearby and schools are around, too. He has a three-bedroom apartment where he can watch baseball games and see the kids play at school. The apartment has high ceilings, making it feel very spacious. Residents can use a stairway or ramp to get to the park for walks. We love the location. There’s a large swimming pool in the inner courtyard, surrounded by the building. The facility feels elegant and has a lot of natural light. We’re really happy he’s here; he loves it and feels right at home. It’s such a pleasure.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

The place was mostly clean except for my parents' room. But their room was consistently dirty. Some staff were friendly, but not always truthful. My parents often went without their medications for days, which happened many times. Once, they even tried to give my dad my mom's medicine. Instead of helping my mom's nausea, they gave her the wrong medicine, causing more problems due to her chronic constipation. They lost a week's worth of laundry, and after that, I had to do it myself. The meals were good at first, but they started running out of things and the quality went down. My parents didn't join activities, so I can't rate that. Sadly, my mom passed away, and I had to bring my dad to live with me. This was our second facility, and I hope I never have to find another one. I gave notice after my mom's passing, but they rushed to replace us, asking to move our stuff before we were ready and promising a refund we never got.

"Safety Concerns at Assisted Living Facility"

My family member in memory care went without being changed or offered food for over 18 hours. When they were moved from their bed, it was done inappropriately. They’ve had several injuries since moving in, and I wonder if they were all accidents. A state report was filed. We need video monitoring. The activities director is great, but she’s just one person among many.
