"New ownership improves Serenity with caring staff and positive changes"
Mom has been living here for about 15 months, and the last 3 months have been under the new ownership, now called Serenity. The new owners have made a lot of positive changes, making the place more relaxed and comfortable for both residents and their families. They listen to our feedback and are working hard to make Serenity a pleasant place to live. The home is always clean with no bad odors, unlike some larger, more institutional places. It’s in a nice neighborhood, has a great open floor plan, a spacious living room, and a large dining table. There’s also a lovely back patio for fresh air and sunshine. The home-cooked meals are always good and cater to each resident's needs. We really like the high caregiver-to-resident ratio. Since the new owners took over, there are 5 residents with at least two caregivers each day and one overnight. There are often nursing students and other helpers around. The new owner and sometimes the director are also present. The caregivers are kind and seem to enjoy their work. Residents often play bingo, flashcards, or color together. Everyone seems happy and well cared for. Overall, I would recommend Serenity Cedar Park as a good home for your loved one when living alone is no longer an option.

"Cozy, Clean, and Caring: Covenant House Assisted Living Review"
My mom likes Covenant House. She talks to other people there. They have enough caregivers for everyone. It's clean and feels like home, not like a hospital. It's in a nice neighborhood, which is good. It's a good place when you can't live alone anymore.

"Suspected Scam Alert: Covenant House's False Claims and Refusal to Refund"
The Covenant House falsely presented itself as a suitable facility for memory care and a place where my grandma could live out the rest of her life. My 92-year-old grandma moved in only to be told soon after that she had to go elsewhere without any warning. They're even refusing to give her a refund on her rent. Their contract clearly states they need to give a 30-day written notice. At this point, we're pretty sure the owners are running a shoddy operation, bouncing seniors in and out and pocketing their money to finance their own business. We're getting things in order so we can investigate this further. It's a nasty situation and we're worried others may fall victim to this scam too. We never thought we'd need to move my grandma a third time, but on the bright side, I've found another reliable assisted living home with a specialized memory care unit. For those of you looking for a new place, I'd be very happy to recommend this one.

"Concerns Raised About Covenant House Business Practices"
The people who run Covenant House made it seem like their facility could handle memory care and it was a place where seniors wouldn't have to move again. But not long after moving my 92-year-old grandma to Covenant House, they asked us to move her again without any notice, even though their contract says they have to give a 30-day notice in writing. They won't give my grandma her money back, and we're worried that the owners of Covenant House are just moving old people in and out, keeping their money to keep their business going. We're looking into it to make sure they aren't scamming seniors. I never thought we'd have to move my grandma to a third place, but if you need help finding a place, I'd be happy to recommend an assisted living home I trust that also has a special unit for memory care.

"Double-charged and dismissed: Covenant House exploits elderly residents."
We made a regrettable decision by transferring my 92-year-old grandmother to Covenant House. She was there for only two months before the owners told us to find her another place to stay. We had to shift her to and from Covenant House twice in two months, leading to us being charged two community fees. They suggested we go back to our previous facility. This entire process of moving really stressed out my grandma and I'm upset they didn't offer to reimburse her Community Fee. Please be aware, they reserve the right to ask you to leave instantly and seize your loved one's cash. We put our faith in them as caring Christians, so never expected them to exploit my grandma's savings. Our lawyer is currently looking over the contract, but I'd strongly advise everyone to incorporate a couple of protective clauses for your dear ones.

"Disastrous Experience with Covenant House, Disappointed and Cheated"
We made a bad decision when we moved our 92-year-old grandma to Covenant House. She only stayed for 2 months before the owners told us we needed to find her a different place to live. In only two months, we had to move grandma into and out of Covenant House two times and dealt with two costly community fees. They recommended we go back to the place we just left! As you can guess, these moves weren't easy for grandma and it's a real disappointment that they refused to return her Community Fee. Be aware, they can ask you to leave right away, and keep all your loved one's funds. We thought we could count on them as fellow Christians, but we didn't expect them to take advantage of my grandma's savings. We have our attorney looking over the contract, but I advise you to add a couple extra protections for your family member's safety.

"Warm and welcoming community for seniors needing extra care."
I really liked Assisted Living by Covenant House. It's a very nice and lovely place. My loved one isn't very old but needs a lot of care. I didn't think it'd be a good fit for her, that she'd need people to socialize with on her level.

"Great Place, but Needs More Social Activities"
This place is really great and they do a fantastic job. But there aren't enough people for my parent to hang out with. It's a small home, so they’re starting to feel bored.

"Consider Other Care Options: Unpleasant Atmosphere"
I visited this place, considering it for taking care of my husband. However, it didn't feel right for us. The place was gloomy and brought about an uncomfortable feeling. They did offer a schedule of activities for their residents. I’d advise other families to come see this place themselves if they're thinking about care for a family member.

This is the best place for my mom I've ever found. The staff gives great physical care and spends time with each resident. They also offer spiritual care, which is really important at this stage of life. My mom feels truly loved.

The place feels just like home, and the staff treats everyone like family. They pay special attention to residents' unique needs, and the caregivers are highly skilled. It's way better than a nursing home!

"Excellent staff, activities, and meals. Highly recommend!"
I’ve been very happy with this community. The staff has done a wonderful job making sure my mother feels comfortable and safe in her new home. She’s been joining many activities and enjoys spending time with other residents. The chef does an excellent job with the meals, ensuring the food is healthy and well-balanced. I have no complaints and would recommend this place to anyone.

"I Loved This Community"
I really liked everything they did for us. Everyone was awesome. The staff was super caring and helpful. The place was really nice and clean, everything looked great. The food was good, but I think they could improve the service with menus. A Place for Mom was fantastic with all the help they gave. This community is lovely, and I'd highly recommend it.
